When we point at others three fingers are pointing back at us.
One of the things that the Lord asks us to do is to stop and look for the beauty in each person no matter how difficult we or others may think they are, but it does help to remember that many people felt Jesus was very difficult, enough to kill Him, thank goodness our judgment of others does not cause us to want to do this or does it?
We can kill them with our self inflated thoughts such as, well after all they do this and that and I never do any of these things, and after all they talk too much, but I’m a good listener. Also they show their feelings too openly, don’t they realize we should always put on a happy face, it embarrasses me when they’re upset or express themselves in a demonstrative way. Did you see how overweight they are and those old fashioned clothes, they even stutter.
I have every right to make this judgment, after all I’m Trained and I’m accepted by friends who are important and influential people, and they are a nobody without degrees or proper training. I do and have done so much to help others, why can’t they be more like me then they would be easier to Love.
God’s word tells us to consider others better then ourselves, so it’s hard to find someone we can call difficult, but when we do call others this, we too become difficult and more then they are. Our attitude then should be humble wanting to serve them, respecting them and holding them in high esteem because of their position in the Lord, instead of demeaning them with what we think they should or should not do, or how they should be if they want our approval.
We need to serve others in humility not pity or because we think we have to, we need to want to from our heart because they are worth it, because Jesus tells us they are, and when it is from our heart we will think they are too. We will be tolerant but it will be genuine and not from our head and when it is from the heart then our thoughts, words and actions will reflect our Love for them and they won’t wear us out because we will enjoy their company, then because of our Love and acceptance they will heal and respond back in Love, but it may take time, so our patience will need to come from the Holy Spirit not ourselves.
Everyone has a need to be Loved and accepted, weaknesses and all, but this is not talking about accepting their sin as ok, just the persons own idiosyncrasies or unusual personalities or things we may find annoying, and of course if they don’t agree with what we think and feel even if not confirmed in Scripture, well of course they are difficult and hard to Love. But what about the things we do that annoy others, how would we feel if others had us on their difficult list as someone just to hard to Love, but felt oh well after all I’m a Christian poor thing guess I will need to overlook how inferior they are won’t I, and maybe it will help me learn more patience and tolerance, anyway they can’t help it , after all they had a hard life or come from the wrong side of town so have lots of hang-ups or whatever.
“Bit patronizing don’t you think?” Maybe they are just wanting people to Love them and see their Worth as a Child of God. Perhaps they are hurting and feel that no one cares.
We need to Love from our heart and then we can tear up our lists because no one will be difficult in our eyes, perhaps hurting, perhaps different, perhaps even unusual from us in their ways, perhaps unloved by others or not accepted, but we then give them more Love like Jesus did, no He didn’t accept sin as ok but He accepted everyone enough to die for them and He never exulted himself above others in His attitudes and feelings towards them, He had no need to, He knew His worth so no one was on His difficult list, even the Pharisees he offered His Love and Friendship to, no He didn’t like their sinful actions but He Loved them. He considered us all the same in need of forgiveness, Love, acceptance and healing.
So this tells us we are to Love others not from our head but from our heart. We need to stop the phoniness and move on in genuine Love accepting others, crying with them, helping to carry their burdens, spurring them on towards good deeds, rejoicing with them, being encouraging and supporting instead of labeling others to exalt ourselves. When we do this it shows we are hurting too, so we need to seek Jesus for His healing, only He can set us free.
Remember God tells us the very people we put down are the ones He will use to show us just how much we lack and when we put labels on them we are also doing this to the Lord, when we hurt others we hurt Him and when we reject others as people of worth, we are rejecting Him as important in our lives.
1 Corinthians 1: 27-29 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence.

Thanks Anne for highlighting for us a serious problem ,we face as we go through life .It then calls on us to display that attitude which can only come from resident Holy Spirit. This then causes us to exhibit Grace which above all is a wonderful fruit to show.
Thank you Love, God’s Grace Like His Love covers a Multude of sins and also weakness and Shortcommings, when we see people through God’s eyes, we have compassion but we don’t Love them if we look the other way when they sin, it’s apathy when we do this or fear of rejection which is all about self not Love, but our correction should be in Love and for Love .
Christian Love Anne.
Great post Anne. I find the phoniness in people’s actions is related to their hidden agenda; a scheme to benefit themselves in some way, blinding them to the truth about themselves and others.
Keep the Faith, Sister!
Hi Karin, so True what you shared, it is often because they are hurting and feel insecure and so they respond in an unloving way. I know that you do try to understand this, from our conversations and I believe you have much more patience than I do but I remember Jesus got the whip out and corrected those in error and so did Paul correct firmly those in the early Church for their lack of Maturity shown in lack of Love, we are to encourage each other to grow in knowledge and to Mature as we share with God’s wisdom His Truth and to be patient with those slow to learn but we are to stand up against unloving and sinful behaviour.

Speaking of the whip, Nehemiah did the same during the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s wall. Sometimes righteous anger is needed for people to wake up and smell the coffee.
Keep the Faith, Sis.
Hi Sis what you say is True I must read up on Nehemiah or will you do a Post for me.? perhaps they also accused Him of being a Bible basher Hmmm or was it the Torah?
We all have weaknesses and shortcommings, a friend reminded me I had left something off Ron’s Awards when I posted it for him, I’m suppose to fill in the details but I forgot, as you know I believe in respecting what those who create Awards want but not under pressure with freedom.
This reminds me of the most important Commandants, God has set the rules and we are not to change them to suit our own agenda no matter how good we think it is, but He has promised us the empowering to keep them and also the strength to overcome any Temptation in His Strength, we can do all things through Christ, we don’t have to sin, we have been set free and Jesus tells us ask and we will receive.
When someone hurts me I ask God to help me Love them as He does, but right now I’m confused who to ask for, I don’t hate anyone but yes I hate the wrong they do, when people hurt me sometimes till the pain stops I walk away but then I always seek restoration that’s part of real Love. I don’t wear blinkers and pretend I live in a perfect world or I wouldn’t bother witnessing and time is short… but I’m optimistic in the Lord knowing He will work it all out for good for those who Love Him.
Have I told you latley that I Love you Sis, perhaps not often enough, God never stops I want to be like Him!
Love you in the Lord Sis or as I mostly say Christian Love Anne.
Hi Robin, thank you for your kind concern but as I said much of the pain of abuse has been healed by you and the others, I’m a very sensitive person and I hurt for anyone who suffers even the Atheists.
So in my post although I was referring to some of my own personal experiences in the Church, but I have also been greatly blessed by Christian fellowship over many years, it was focusing more on others who continue to be hurt. I learnt a long time ago that I was a person of worth regardless of what others think and say, my Best Friend Jesus tells me I’m precious but it still saddens me that others are still hurting and will continue to hurt unless many change their focus.
But just because I’m not hurting doesn’t mean I don’t want your Hugs and Hugs and more Hugs all the more the better, a big one for you Robin (((((( HUG ))))))

Such a wonderful message Anne. And very timely…Especially during times of adversity. Thank you so much my friend for such a fantastic post..Many blessings to you and I definitely enjoyed my visit…Many blessings to you…Robin
Thank you Robin, I think with having been around the Block more than once I have experienced a great deal of the ups and downs of Church life. I had a Ministry to Atheists, I’m still involved with them but to a lesser degree now, it’s a very hard outreach with much abuse but I felt for them, as I had once been an agro Atheist but only in my head not my heart, sadly quiet a few had been hurt by people in the Churches and so blamed God who they then claimed didn’t exist ???
Robin you and a some others who Blog, have healed a lot of the wounds these people inflicted on me, to be able to say outwardly that The Lord is Awesome and that He is Love without being abused is wonderful and to have my Christian Brothers and Sisters say kind and uplifting things to me and treat me as a person of worth, is a great blessing, Thank you my friend.
Christian Love Anne.
Oh my beautiful friend you are definitely a person of worth. And your blog is so heart warming and welcoming. Don’t let the words of others bring you down. It’s so unfortunate how people can be with words. I feel your pain Anne but know I’m here for you….Hugs and Hugs and more Hugs…..Your christian sister….Robin 😀
I believe that God put us here to be an encouragement to others.
Jesus said the two greatest commandments were: to love God and to love others. If we do these things, we fulfill the law, just as Jesus did.
Love and hugs,
Dear Gramma Velta, as usual your advice has much wisdom and it is True in Christ Jesus we fulfil the Law because He is the fulfilment of the Law and if we walk as He did with His empowering, as you shared we keep the most important Commandments which are…..
Matthew 22 : 37- 40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great Commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt Love thy Neighbour as thyself. On these two Commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Love you Gramma Velta.
Something we all need to keep in mind as we deal with each other. Thank you for sharing this, Annie.
I have never met someone as teachable as you Drusilla not with just what I share but with others too, you are always willing to ponder on advice and no doubt you take to heart what is tested, tried and True… you are indeed a blessing…Thank you Lord for Drusilla.
