On a warm day in Spring, one friend asked another,
“How is it you have so much Joy and so much inner Strength?
You never seem to stay discouraged.”
With her eyes smiling,she said,
“I know the secret!”
“What is the secret?”
To which she replied,
“I’ll tell you all about it,
So that you can share the secret with others”
” The Secret is this “
I have learned there is little I can do in my life
that will make me truly happy if I depend on myself.
I must depend on God and Trust and obey Him
in doing so I have Joy and my deeper needs are meet.
When a real need arises in my life,
I have to trust God to supply according to
His knowledge and riches.
I have learned most of the time I don’t need half
of what I think I do but when I do have a need
He has never let me down.
Since I learned that ‘Secret’
I have Joy through the good and bad times.”
Her friends first thought was,
“That’s too simple!”
But upon reflecting over her own life she
recalled how she thought a bigger house
would make her happy,
but it didn’t!
She thought a better paying job
would make her happy,
but it hadn’t.
When did she realize her greatest happiness?
In being thankful for God’s Blessings…
Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren,
playing games, eating pizza or reading a story,
sharing with loved ones and friends and
so much more… all gifts from God.
Now you know it too…
We can’t depend on people or things alone
to make us happy, some will even let us down,
God Never will
Only He in His infinite wisdom can give us inner Joy.
As we Seek Him, Trust Him and obey Him!
And now I pass the Secret on to you!
So once you get it, what will you do?
Tell someone the Secret, too!
That God in His Wisdom will always take
care of Us!
But it’s not really a secret…..
We just have to believe that we can…..
Really Trust God
And then the Petals of life will fall Joyously…..

Thanks David for your encouragement and for the Truth you share, I have a lot of respect for your insight and Godly understanding. I wish Ron had more time and could read some of yours and other Bloggers uplifting messages, I know he would be blessed reading yours. I do share about the messages I read on Posts with him at times but it’s not the same, still he supports and encourages me and sometimes when I Post his comments I’m very uplifted, like you he has a very balanced focus.

Liked the Petals of Life story ,sure it`s true , that when we wish for nothing more than to please Him , we will enjoy the petals of peace that it brings . Think we can find happiness without God controlling our life, is like pricking our finger on thorns of dissatisfaction , restlessness, and no peace.; the roses don’t seem so sweet smelling as they did before. Thanks for the story /

Hi Dunia, good to hear from you again, thanks for visiting, our Holiday was not what we planned, too much rain and we both unexpectedly found we were committed to working, Ron with his Church and family responsibilities and I cooked over 40 cakes and slices for a woman’s convention, both took up a lot of our time, but we are planning another holiday in May for our Anniversary.
What about you, Dunia, are you planing to Blog more often ? I miss you but I realize how busy you are. Thankfully my Blog is not presenting any problems for me right now, which is good.
