Our van rushed through the crowded streets of Port au Prince. We were trying to get to our destination of Mother Teresa’s Children’s Hospital by 3:00. We had been told that if we didn’t arrive by 3:00 we would not be able to get inside. A new driver and a wrong turn pushed us past our desired arrival time and now we were pulling in front of the building, our arrival time 15 minutes late. Maya our guide got out of the van and knocked at the door I held my breath while at the same time saying a silent prayer, ‘Father, if this is your will today, please get us in,” that instant Maya began waving for us to come inside, prayer answered our group climbed out of the van and headed through the door.

Appreciate Terri for exposing us to another side of need and impoverishment that we are not aware of. Heart breaking to see the need for love to be shown by those little babes. God knew their need so He sent Terri and the others to bring that love to these dear ones .

Thank you Love for your encouragement for T, as we talked about, T has Compassion shown by her actions for these Children and yes we can see it comes willingly from her heart, how very, very important we all reflect this same Love and Compassion which is motivated by God when He is our Focus and not the materialism and self – focus that is propagated by the World today..

I commend you T for your Heart Focus, it is one as Christians we all need to have and willingly not just because we think we have to care but you have always reflected T great Love and concern for these Children who suffer greatly.
If wanted T, I will share with you why we all need to have the same intense heart concern for these Children and others that you have, I’m proud to call you my Sister in Christ Jesus.

Well Thanks and yes I do love and care for children so so much, I just wish they could all be saved. and yes you may share with me why we all should have the same intense heart concern…. Another thing we did in Haiti was we taught children’s Bible school one day. We read them this from the Bible — Mark 10:13-16 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. — after we read the story we had them make an art project in which as we did each part of the project we told them about how much Jesus loves Children … So I do think that is why because Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. We can’t earn our Salvation T but we will show we have it, Faith without works is dead but this is not meaning fleshy man’s works but those that God has prepared in advance for us to do and He equips us and empowers us to do them, He does not force us to do them, like you T we willingly do them.
There will be those who will say Lord, Lord and Jesus will send them away and the Scriptures below tell us why.
Matthew 25: 41-45 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 1 John 4:6-8 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the Spirit of Truth, and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us Love one another for Love is of God and every one that Loveth is Born of God, and knoweth God. He that Loveth not knoweth not God; for God is Love.(KJV)

Thank you Anne, These are some of my favorite verses, and I do agree we just want to to do God’s works. And usually when we finish we realize we were blessed somehow. Some of the best times of my life have been in the past 5 years doing some of the most fun, crazy out of my comfort zone things that I know only God could have made happen. Thanks again!

In the years I have known you T you have touched my heart many times as you shared about your Love for the Children and yes it does come naturally when it comes from the Heart gifted wrapped in God’s Love and yours does.
I’m a bit overwhelmed with the responsibility and work involved in looking after Danielle but I’m not regretting doing so, I have been very blessed because most of the time now, I also have Kassey her friend stay over and Kassey’s Mum and Sisters visit often too, they gave me a Mother’s Day gift, and Kassey’s Sister Kira who is 8, made a Card and a glitter picture to hang on the wall, to thank me for Dinner, I was crying with Joy and also overwhelmed when she also told me she Loved both Funday School and me, her new Grannie Annie, isn’t that wonderful.
Danielle and I have talked a lot about forgiving and letting go of hurts and Danielle has now decided to try again with her Stepmother, she made a beautiful Mother’s Day card for her and we are going to bake some cakes for her and her Grandmother and also Kassey’s Mom too, so I’m going to be very busy again for the next few days but I hope to catch up with your Posts in the Morning.
