The Winter Of The Soul…..

The misty haze beckons the winter chill, leaving a numbness that defies the will there’s darkness and stillness within the soul that no earthly light can behold,

Searching for a glimmer of hope within yet feeling the confines of the winter chill and despairing that the emptiness can’t be filled,

Into this barren coldness of fear is the Hope of the Lord as His Love appears radiating warmth, Joy and Peace welcoming us to come and sit at His feet.

There is a warmth that envelops our soul as with the Lord we share and grow in His Love that’s beyond compare,

Teaching us to know that we can Trust and depend on His promises to the very end an end that gives His Hope of a new start, the Joy of  Eternity in the heart.

Then the stillness deep within the soul is stirred by God’s Joy and Love revealed and by knowing in us His Hope is sealed.

The winter chill is no more for the Lord has opened our heart’s door letting His Light and warmth filter through and taking the emptiness and decay away giving us

His hope for each day,

This is the Joy beyond compare knowing His Love is always there No winter chill can take this away and by His Spirit we Trust and Obey.

So we open our hearts as He beckons us to come letting His Light and Love shine through giving warmth to the soul and making us whole assuring us

He’s near and taking away our fear.

There is the Hope born anew that the winter chill cannot penetrate for we are not sealed by this fate,

For it’s the Lords Life that’s given and it’s His will  that sees us through.

So we warm our soul by His Love and care and feel His presence always there.

    • Your words are very wise Valeriu and very True, when we Pray in the Heart of God by His Spirit who draws us close, He hears and answers. His Truth is all around us in His Creation and gives confirming facts. God also gives His Light that takes away the darkness and melts the winter chill and than through our heart repentance we see His great Love shown in His Mercy and Grace.

Thank you for visiting Valeriu, I am blessed that our lives touched and I we will pray that the sadness you feel will be washed away, like the years of emptiness and decay that was part of my life. I still experience Storms in my life but I never walk in them alone, The Lord is always with me uplifting, strengthening and healing, and He does this for all His children who have Faith not just for me. May you be comforted by The Scripture below.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the Thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, Thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

    • Thank you once again Son for your encouragment, I remember when I was like an iceberg, I could not express emotion, I couldn’t even cry but Jesus warmed my heart and that defrosted me, now I’m no freeze and I often cry tears of Joy, regardless of the snow outside.

Thank you Love, as you know from God’s Ink The Spirit leads me in verse as God’s Melody is in my heart but once my heart was indeed covered in Snow, I was like an iceberg, I couldn’t even cry but Jesus melted me.

    Anne,
In the world of blogging, there are a million and a half different view points. There are a trillion and a half different people with different opinions (I know, I’m exaggerating, but it seems true). I’m fairly new to posting my writings on the net, but one of the first things I found important was to let people speak. Some will say what we want to hear, some will not. It’s okay, they all deserve their opinion.

I greatly admire your writing and more than that, your love for our Lord. I am intrigued by your discipline and commitment to faithfulness.

Please know that it is an honor to have you read my humble attempts to glorify our Lord through my words that I post.

I’m a man, married to the woman who I will love until Jesus calls me home, we want you to know that we cherish the friendship that you offer, and greatly desire to continue to be fellow servants of Christ in the mission to proclaim the gospel to the world through this amazing tool He has given us… blogging.

God bless you friend. May God grant you the mercies and grace of His abundance.

    • Hi Mike, what you say is True about differences on the Internet but this is also True in regards to the Churches and this was never God’s will as the Scriptures tell us, but He knew it would happen. He is a God of Unity not division and He tells us we are to have the same focus and be of one mind and He shows us how we can do this and it is not by arguing, or agreeing to disagree, this is why I ask for people both women and men to contact me if it looks like something won’t be resolved without lengthy discussions, I have been told a few times now that my posts and coments are too long but I still have not worked out how to turn my heart off.

Thank you for your kind words, I too respect you Mike and value you as a person of worth, your writing prompts my heart to respond, which is how it should be with Blogging. It would be wonderful to be able to know you and your wife and family personally. I am by nature, very friendly and demonstrative and I seek to find what I can commend in others like you do, yes this has sometimes presented problems but I assure you my heart belongs first to my wonderful Loving Creator God as the Godhead or Trinity 3 in One and then to Ron someone who has been part of my life for a very long time and who I cherish very much and then my heart is given in Unity to my Brothers and Sisters in The Lord, such as you Mike and others that Blog or where ever we make contact.

Thank you again, see you on your Blog, I want to see if Hank has raised his head again, it must get very dark down there or is it ???.

Hi Robin thank you for your kind words, once again I always feel so blessed when you come for a cuppa. Yes WATW was talking about the winter and as she did this poem which I wrote 5 years ago came to mind, it is was part of my journey with the Lord, perhaps in some ways everyone experiences the same. I posted the story I promised you… it’s called ” A woman of Strength ” it’s in Gifts for friends …. a bit different but I hope you enjoy it.
