I went with my dad to get some groceries from Tesco some years ago. The weight was so heavy that I had to use all my energy to carry them to the bus stop. As we got on the bus, my thoughts were about how I was going to carry those giants home. I was tired, and was really worried. But something unexpected happened; just before the bus stopped, my father said to me “Son you don’t have carry this stuff again. I will do it.” Hush! That was a sweet relief. If I had known that my father would be carrying them for me, I wouldn’t have wasted time and energy worrying and thinking about strategies I was going to use. I gave them to him and enjoyed walking with him home…

Yes I was very blessed too by Uplifting Christ’s message, it was a great way to start my devotions this morning, trusting God to carry our load means we don’t stumble and fall.
I remember when we first met that you use to say I would worry if I had nothing to worry about but as you said when we have had real problems, God has always been faithful and He always will be.

God is able and willing to take care of us.
His word is sure and can be relied on.
He says:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” (Isaiah 43:2).
