I Would Value Your Advice

Those who have read my Post (link below) about  being hurt by those I thought were my New friends will understand why I’m seeking advice now about True friendship which is something I value greatly.

Link-  https://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2018/01/24/im-hurting-please-pray-for-me/

I do appreciate the advice of my close friends and those who Commented on my Post, some of my friends agree with me but others have said to me over the years that I Trust others too soon and give my all instead of waiting to be sure that they can be Trusted but I have always chosen to do this because when have they done enough to earn my Trust but if they break my Trust and have no Repentance they no longer have it, although because we are to even Love our enemies I don’t give up on them but I don’t accept the wrong they do and say.

I would very much value your advice too, what is the best focus for True friendship? below is also what friendship means to me.

Loving and Caring friends are God’s way of showing His Love to us so we always appreciate the friends that we have and seek to make more.

We can’t see God face to face in the flesh as we see our friends, He is Spirit but yes He had our human flesh His Spirit being in the body of Jesus Christ The Living Word (John1) conceived by the Holy Ghost both of whom have the exact same seed or Nature as our Abba Father in every way, They are One in Spirit although Their roles are different, The Father always being in Authority, They are Love and can be no other way.

1 John 5:7 For there are Three that bear record in Heaven, The Father, The Word and The Holy Ghost and these Three are One.

We are Jesus, Arms, Hands, Feet and voice in this hurting World and yes we help carry each others burdens (Galatians6:2) which means being there for them. We can see His eyes in our friends eyes when they look at us with Love and we here His voice when they say words of Love to us and show they Love us by their Actions too.

We also feel His Compassion (2 Corinthians1:3-5) when our friends Hold us Close and Cry with us (Romans12:15) and we feel His Joy when they Rejoice with us and when they offer their friendship in words and deeds and we feel even more Joy when we give ours too. We feel His Peace when our Christian Family faithfully Pray for us and with us and we give Thanks always that we do see Him face to face in our Hearts, through their Love.

But we feel God’s Righteous anger when others do and say what is evil, unloving and untrue, yes Satan uses his friends to deceive and hurt us but because we Love God and He has chosen us by His foreknowledge of our Heart Repentance which shows our Faith in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, who is the only way to our Abba Father, He works everything for good in our Lives even their evil intentions.

Romans 8:28-30  And we know that all things work together for good to them that Love God to them who are the Called according to His purpose.

Psalm 97:9-11 For Thou, Lord, art High above all the earth Thou art exalted far above all gods. Ye that Love The Lord hate evil, He preserveth the Souls of His Saints, He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the Righteous and gladness for the Upright in Heart.

Psalm 107:16-18 For He hath broken the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in sunder. Fools because of their Transgression and because of their iniquities are afflicted.

Psalm 94: 23 And He shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off in their own wickedness yea, The LORD our God shall cut them off.

Proverbs 10:20-22 The Tongue of the just is as choice silver the heart of the wicked is little worth. The lips of the Righteous feed many but fools die for want of Wisdom. The Blessing of the Lord it maketh rich and He addeth no Sorrow with it.

Yes what Satan means for evil God uses for good, I never doubt His goodness and Love towards us because I believe what He tells us in the Bible and if needed I remind myself of the Scriptures below and others that give me this reassurance when I’m facing Trials and Temptations.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

Isaiah 43:1-3 Do not be afraid for I have ransomed you. I have called you by Name you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up the flames will not consume you. For I Am The LORD, your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

The teaching that claims that God deliberately inflicts us to mold and shape us has caused people to walk away from Christianity rejecting God as a Sadist and even out of fear  to Suicide. We can’t really Trust someone whom we feel will deliberately hurt us even if it is sugarcoated.

Psalm 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from The Lord which made Heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper, The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil, He shall preserve thy Soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and even for evermore.

The Scriptures tell us it is slander to even say Believers do evil to bring good out of it, even more so to claim God does this, He is LOVE! (Romans 3:8)

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you says The LORD; thoughts of Peace and not of evil to give you a Future and a Hope.

I love the What A Friend We Have In Jesus video, as Jesus was my only Friend in school day for many years.

    • I have found error Mr. Smiff with Got Questions Summaries of Scripture as well as others and more than once, although sometimes some have shared God’s Truth or History that confirms it but not always. This is why we are to ask God for His Wisdom and Empowering by The Holy Spirit instead of Trusting in someone elses understanding instead of His .

When we look at Romans 7 in Context which Got Questions and others use to claim that we go on Sinning when we are Born Again, we see that Paul did not agree with what he was doing but called himself a wretched Man but than said that Jesus would set Him free from the Slavery of Sin as we see confirmed below and he also shared how this happens in Romans 8 and in the other Scriptures that I shared with you in God’s Plan of Salvation which it’s based on God’s Truth and not Man’s fleshy understanding so does not need their interpretation although we do need The Holy Spirit to understand God’s Truth (1Corinthians 2:9-16).

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth everyone who Sins is a slave to Sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.(KJV)

Romans 6:6- 7 For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of Sin might be done away with that we should no longer be slaves to Sin because anyone who has died has been freed from Sin. (KJV)

Romans 6:18-20 Being then made free from Sin ye became the Servants of Righteousness. (KJV)

Romans 8: 8 There is therefore now no Condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.(KJV)

Romans 6 : 1 – 2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in Sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we that are dead to Sin live any longer therein? (KJV)

Romans 6:5-7 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death we shall be also in the likeness of His Resurrection. Knowing this, that our old man is Crucified with Him that the body of Sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve Sin. For he that is dead is freed from Sin.(KJV)

Romans 6:22-23 But now being made free from Sin and become Servants to God, ye have your Fruit unto Holiness and the end Everlasting Life. For the wages of Sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.(KJV)

1 Peter 2:24 Who His own self bare our Sins in His own body on the tree that we being dead to Sins should live unto Righteousness by whose stripes ye were healed.(KJV)

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises dearly beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit Perfecting Holiness in the fear of God. (KJV)

Colossians 1:27-29 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you the Hope of glory Whom we Preach warning every Man and teaching every Man in all Wisdom that we may present every Man Perfect in Christ Jesus Where unto I also labour, striving according to His working which worketh in me mightily(KJV)

When we are Born Again and Perfected in Love Mr. Smiff as the Scriptures below confirm, we don’t Sin, we can’t because we have God’s Seed or Nature not Adams, the old has gone the New has come. In reference to calling God a Liar (1John1) if we say we don’t Sin, it means in regards to not needing Salvation which we see confirmed when the whole Chapter is read, which Got Questions don’t always do or confirm the Scriptures they use with other Scriptures in other Parts of The Bible before they give a summery.

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 9 ) No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s Seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.(KJV)

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins but He who was Born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him. (KJV)

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him Sinneth not whosoever Sinneth hath not seen Him neither known Him. Little Children let no man deceive you he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous even as He is Righteous.(KJV)

Ephesians 4:23-24 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind And that ye put on the new Man which after God is created in Righteousness and True Holiness. (KJV)

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith I know Him and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the Truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God Perfected hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he bideth in Him ought himself also so to walk even as He walked.(KJV)

Luke 6:45-46 A good man out of the good treasure of his Heart bringeth forth that which is good and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his Heart bringeth forth that which is evil for of the abundance of the Heart his mouth speaketh.(KJV)

1 Peter 1:21-23 Being Born again not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the Word of God which liveth and abideth for ever.(KJV)

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto Sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.(KJV)

Titus 2:13-15 Looking for that Blessed Hope and the glorious appearing of The Great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us that He might Redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people zealous of Good Works. These things Speak and Exhort and Rebuke with all Authority. Let no Man despise thee.(KJV)

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be Purified, and made White and tried but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the Wise shall understand. (KJV)

      • Mr. Smiff says:

Romans 7:21–23, Paul admits the battle between flesh and spirit in his own life: “So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me.”

Did you read the rest of the Chapter Mr Smith and Chapter 8 ?

Paul doesn’t speak out both sides of his mouth, neither does scripture contradict itself.

True Mr Smith Scripture never Contradicts, it is all Inspired by God but without His Wisdom and the empowering of The Holy Spirit Carnal Man cannot understand it, to them it’s foolishness. (ICorinthians 2:9-16)

        Also 1st John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

This was was written Mr Smith to those who claim they don’t need Salvation because they don’t Sin, we see this confirmed when we read it in Context, are you still in darkness ? 1John1: 5-7 KJV

        This was written to believers.

You are forgiven and redeemed from Adams sin, reborn but not with a sin nature, but with still living in a carnal body that desires fleshly things.

We are to put our Carnal Flesh to death Mr Smith and as clearly confirmed below we don’t Sin when we are Born Again.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin, because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning, because he has been Born of God. KJV

To say Christians do not sin attempts to call John a liar, I think I’ll stick with John and his fellows.

But it is you Mr Smith who is calling John a liar and of course God too because He Inspired all Scripture and what I have shared with you confirms that we do not continue to Sin when we are Born Again as we see again in the Scripture below.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. KJV

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him Sinneth not: whosoever Sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little Children, let no Man deceive you: he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous, even as He is Righteous. KJV

For me thats the end of the story.

As John says, to say you have or do not sin, you’re deceiving yourself.

For you to say and share with others that we Continue to Sin Mr Smith when we are Born Again is deceiving them as well as yourself. Can you show me where it says in Scripture that we go on Sinning when we are Born Again and Perfected in Love ? which also means we have the Mind of Christ and He does not choose to Sin.

        Thank you for clarifying.

If you meant that Mr Smith than why did you reject the Scripture I shared when it indeed clarifies you are in error.

        • By your reply Mr Smith it shows like Got Questions and others you have not read the Scriptures in Context which is needed for Understanding as well as God’s Wisdom and they also explain why what you are now claiming above is in error but sadly you are still Trusting in what you have been told or believe without Scriptural Confirmation.

God’s tells us when we ask for His Wisdom and Empowering by The Holy Spirit which None of us were Born with, we are to believe we have received them because He does not Lie and I do believe Him without any doubt.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the Principal Thing, therefore get Wisdom and with all thy getting get Understanding

James 1:5-6 If any of you lack Wisdom let that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given them. But let them ask in Faith nothing wavering. For them that wavereth are like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

I see no point in continuing to share Scripture with you Mr Smith if you are just going to ignore them which you have done,I will continue to Pray for you as your Comments are now based on your own fleshy understanding and not on God’s Truth as He confirms it in Scripture when we read them in Context with the empowering of The Holy Spirit His Wisdom. (1Corinthians 2:9-16).

  5. Well, be careful and prayerful when a potential friend enters your life. NO one knew ahead of time (except Jesus) that Judas Iscariot would betray Him. he’d walked and talked with Jesus and the disciples for about 3 years before Satan entered him and the betrayal came. Let the Spirit alert you to the new person and ask Him to guard your heart and your mouth to only say what needs to be said and to not give too much of yourself before it’s time. There are Divine appointments where you can share your life story over a cup of tea with someone you’ve just met, but these are rare instances I’ve found. More than anything else, we need to walk in LOVE, led by the Holy Spirit. Many will come in these days with hidden agendas; many who’s love has grown cold. Pray His kingdom come, His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven, and deliver us from the evil one’s plans! Amen

    • Thank you for visiting and sharing Musingsalonglifesjourney and it is True that God’s Love covers a Multitude of Sins but without Trust it does not exist. Yes I too pray to be led when I share with others how God’s Love and Compassion was and is a reality in my Life, as Scripture confirms; we plant the seeds, God sends someone to water them and than He harvests them.

Yes as known many have come to Heart Repentance on their death beds through the good seeds that have been sown during their lives including my older Sister who had lost her Love for many years but Jesus goes after the lost Sheep and He brought her back to the fold. It’s not up to us to change a persons Heart and God doesn’t do so by force either but He knows those who are His and not one of us will be lost Eternally, He protects our Soul.

  6. Mr. Smiff says:

If you read your comments, here’s another aspect of the Christian walk most — GOD is love — people ( meaning they focus only on love going no farther into God’s nature )

    1 Corinthians 5

It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

    Namely verse 5….
Delivering one over to satan for the destruction of the flesh, that THEIR SPIRIT MAY BE SAVED in the DAY OF THE LORD…

Cannot emphasize that enough. If fellow believers fall into sin, continuing in that sin, disfellowshipping that person is a last option.

If that person dies in sin/by satan, his spirit is still saved because only the Lord knows if that person truly gave their heart to Christ. And no one can pluck us out of His hand.

Friendships aka relationship dynamics change when we accept Christ as our Savior. We generally look at a broader picture of those relationships, that’s in eternally.

Look at examples like David and Saul’s boy, they loved each other to the end.

For divisive friendships consider Paul and Barnabas and how John Mark ended that relationship. Later in Pauls life he mentions John Mark as one of the faithful.

God’s nature; love, righteousness, holiness, majesty, righteous indignation ie wrath, all of the omni’s, everything has to be considered if we are trying to apply our faith to earthly relationships.

      • Mr Smiff have you heard of God’s Plan of Salvation as confirmed fully in Scripture? you speak as though you have, well at least in regards to some parts of it.

Today in most Churches there is little reference to it’s importance although it was very much the Christian Agenda in the early Church and is still God’s Truth for us today as we work out our Salvation but not meaning work for it.

Some claim it’s Sinless Perfection teaching and reject it but this is all about fleshy works not Grace, it’s propagated by a Cult that has wrongly interpreted the Scriptures, which as we know they all do.

I’m very interested Mr Smiff in what you have heard about God’s Plan of Salvation but even if you haven’t been exposed to it, you do seem to understand what many don’t. Thank you for sharing your Focus with us.

I’ve been born again for 38 yrs, I have read and heard hundreds try and explain their own view of salvation, using phrases such as fully confirmed, so no disrespect meant, but people go about tossing around words of grace, faith, works, predestined, etc seemingly without much thought.

Anne, when you have time, we can keep it here, go ahead and expand on what your talking about.

              Justa’ note.

Every congregation/pastor/denomination/priest/Church/sect, whether Orthodox, Catholic, or Protestant has their own catch phrases for “Gods Plan of Salvation as Confirmed in Scripture”, that’s why I ask for clarification.

Various writers claim exclusivity in the knowledge of scripture, reverting to their understanding of Hermeneutics, while not realizing there are three styles or versions, each claiming exclusivity interpreting scripture.

    • As promised Mr. Smiff below is God’s Plan of Salvation ……

There is always a battle going on between the Spirit and the Carnal flesh” This is why God tells us as we Aim to be Perfected in Love, not meaning Worldly perfection.

We are to put our Carnal flesh to death by The Spirit as we see confirmed below in His Plan of Salvation confirmed by His Inspired Words in Scripture and when we have been Perfected we don’t Sin because we have God’s Seed or Nature and the Mind of Christ who does not choose to Sin so we don’t either.

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 9 ) No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.(KJV)

Salvation is a free gift which we will show we have, this is our obedience not works, although we are told to work out our Salvation it does not mean we work for it. God knows those who are His before we are even conceived, He knows our Hearts and that we will Repent showing we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and so He chooses us to be conformed into the image of Jesus who does not Sin and He tells us that not One of us will be lost Eternally, He protects our Soul.

But we remember that our Sins are not about our Weaknesses and Shortcomings, we all have these and we are not to judge them in others or in ourselves critically.

      God’s Full Plan of Salvation……

Having been set free from the Slavery of Sin we put our Carnal flesh to death so we will no longer Sin but if we do Sin before we are Perfected in Love, Jesus is our Advocate and He will Intercede for us when we Repent turning away from our Sin and seeking to do good by The Empowering of The Holy Spirit as we choose to walk in His Fruit which puts the Carnal Flesh to death we will be Blameless when Jesus returns. (2Thessalonians 5:23-24 KJV)

Romans 8 :12-15 Therefore Brothers we have an obligation but it is not to the Sinful Nature to live according to it or if you live according to the Sinful Nature you will die but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body you will live because those who are led by the Spirit of God are Sons of God. KJV

2 Corinthians 7: 1 Having therefore these promises dearly Beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit Perfecting Holiness in the fear of God. KJV

Colossians 3:4-6 When Christ who is your life appears then you also will appear with Him in Glory. Put to death therefore whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed which is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming. KJV

Galatians 24 -25 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts if we live in the Spirit let us also walk in the Spirit. KJV

We Aim to be Perfected in Love…

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore Perfect even as your Father which is in Heaven is Perfect. KJV

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ let us go on unto Perfection not laying again the foundation of Repentance from dead works and of Faith toward God. KJV

Philippians 3:14-16 I press toward the mark for the prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore as many as be Perfect be thus minded and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, where to we have already attained let us walk by the same rule let us Mind the same thing. KJV

2Timothy 3:17 That the man of God may be Perfect, throughly furnished unto all Good works. KJV

1John 4:16-19 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God and God in him. Herein is our Love made Perfect that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as He is so are we in this World. There is no fear in Love but Perfect Love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him because He first Loved us. KJV

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith I know Him, and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the Truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God Perfected hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith hebideth in Him ought himself also so to walk even as He walked. KJV

  7. When I meet someone that I believe I could become friends with…’more than just a hello and how are you today’ I never the less try to come to know them gradually. I usually will not open up to my innermost thoughts until I have gained insight into whether or not I feel they understand me, and me them; and that there is a trust that has built up. … To me there are friendships that can be enjoyable but limited, and others that can be really close ! Just my thoughts Diane

    • Thank you Diane for sharing your Friendship focus and it has a lot of Wisdom and would prevent us being hurt by those who are not genuine in seeking our friendship.

Unfortunately I really believed these two Woman valued my friendship as I did theirs, the one who lied to me I have visited many times over the last 7 mths since we meet, she always encouraged me to do so and we both shared our ups and downs together over a cuppa, I loved her dogs too and they were always excited when I visited and both of them wanted to sit on my lap and yes at the same time.Lol

Diane I honestly only showed these woman Christian Love and Kindness and I do miss them and even though I know my own worth it hurts greatly that they thought so little of me. I have now texted the one who lied to me and told her I forgive her although I did not mention to her that it was not just for her lying but also for her slandering me to others and for her seeking hurtful revenge too but there has been no response.

Thanks Diane for being a very Caring and Loving Blogging friend and one that I Love too as my Sister in Christ Jesus and you can be sure I Trust you and even if it was wrong to do so I always have from the first time we shared together.

      Christian Love Always – Anne.

      • Sometimes… maybe even more so when we meet people other than face to face it becomes apparent very soon, that there is a like spirit between them… and our instinct tells us…. it is a true friendship…. I too have felt the hurt and injustice of slander … from other Christians… Diane

  8. Terri says:

True friends love someone right where they are at just as Jesus did. He loves us all unconditionally but that does not mean he does not get disappointed or that he condones bad behavior. If we are true friends we help each other by supporting one another and also if we have a friend who is hurting themselves or others then it is our responsibility if we are true friends to help by still loving them but also letting them know what they are doing isn’t good. We can’t force someone to do the right thing so we do our best to let them know and then pray for them. When I was an atheist I had a lot of good meaning and loving Christian friends trying to help me. At the time I really did not think I needed help nor did I want their input. Thankfully those people backed off trying to fix me but at the same time they continued to love me where I was at. Now I know they continued to pray for me as a true friend would do and here I am now a whole lot of years later understanding I really did need that help and I’m so thankful they did back away from my space but that they still never gave up on me and kept praying while God continued to work on my heart and change my thinking. I’m not sure if that makes sense or not. I am sorry those people hurt you. I know you are a very kind and loving lady and I’ve been around your blog long enough to know your heart and that you are what one could hope for as their ‘True’ friend. I will pray for you as I always do. I don’t get online much anymore but still think of you and pray for you often because you are my true friend. Sending love and a hug to you today!

    • Wow I’m crying T, I have missed you so much and your Loving focus. I did phone you a few times but mostly I could not make a connection but I will try again.

Yes very True as you shared T, we accept others were they are and also their weaknesses and shortcomings but we do not agree with the wrong they do that is against God’s guidelines and yes we warn them when needed but we do so in Love and for Love and without Condemnation, we too are saved by Grace, we all put Jesus on the Cross yes our Sin caused Him great suffering.

When I was addicted to Gambling T, which almost lead me to suicide, two of my Christian friends warned me that I was going in the wrong direction, you can be sure I didn’t appreciate their input at the time but after I came to my senses and Repented they were the first people I Thanked for Loving me enough to warn me. They also told me when they warned me that God Loved me and would help me and although I came very close to committing suicide instead I turned to Him for help and yes I was completely delivered from the Gambling addiction and we are still close friends over 30 years later.

Thank you dear T for your Love and Hugs and yes your Heartfelt Prayers too, we all need them. Hope to share with you on your Blog again soon.

      Christian Love Always – Anne.

  9. Mr. Smiff says:

True friendships should be Christ centered, if not its like having a friend dying with only you having a cure and withholding it for some reason.

We are told fellow believers are spiritual family, although most don’t act like it. Christ centered friendships last an eternity, not a few yrs.

The only time I can recollect that we are to push anyone aside is if they, claiming to be a believer, bring in a damnable hersey to fellow spiritual family members; the summation for our reaction to that is reflected in Second John 1:10 states…..” If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting”,…

To my knowledge, which is limited, this is the only condition to turn away friendships/spiritual-family.

Also as Lynn stated, we are to be wise as serpents an innocent as doves; to add a bit to the concept of being naive, we also are not to judge others looking for their splinters while we have our beams, but we are to judge righteously, only by scripture and out of love and humility.

Also in verse 11…” For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds”…

    • What you have shared Mr. Smiff is very True and is full of Godly Wisdom and so yes is confirmed in Scripture. True friendships are indeed Christ centered but it takes two of us to be faithful for our friendships to bear good fruit but we are still to Love even the unlovable, yes our enemies too but as you shared we do not accept false teaching or call good what God calls evil or evil what God calls good. The Scripture below also shows us our responsibility to share God’s Truth, which I feel is your focus too.

2 Timothy 3: 16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for Doctrine, for Reproof, for Correction, for Instruction in Righteousness. That the Man of God may be Perfect and thoroughly furnished unto all Good Works.K.J.V

I also agree very much with you Mr. Smiff that it is not Love when we do not warn those who Fellowship with us in the Church but who are continuing to Sin, which we can see very clearly in Scripture even in regard to them having Holy Communion but sadly so many even those in Leadership look the other way today and it was Prophesied that they would.

But we are not to judge others by a fleshy agenda but by God’s guidelines or are we judge their Eternal Destiny, only God knows their Hearts, or critically judge their weakness and shortcomings, as you shared we have our own.

      God’s Love and Blessings,

  10. I love that you give without strings attached. I don’t think you should close yourself off because as you say, Christ didn’t. Yet, I do think that Christ’s expectations for friendship varied according to the people with whom He interacted. Obviously, He was wary of the Pharisees and Sadducees. So, in a similar way, I think our expectations should be different for different people. Obviously, we wouldn’t approach unbelievers in the same way as we would approach believers. Although Scripture doesn’t discuss the nitty-gritty details about friendship, Jesus did tell us to be “wise as serpents yet innocent as doves.” In other words we should not be naive; instead, we should be on guard and yet, look for the best in people. I do believe this is what you have expressed in this heartfelt and wise post. I truly pray that God heals the hurt that you’ve experienced in recent days through this situation. I am just so sad that you were wrongly treated. 😦 ❤ and Hugs!

    • Thank you Lynn, I very much value your advice as I do from all my friends and as I shared I’m a very emotional person who cries and yes gets upset too. I don’t believe in wearing a mask and pretending to be Happy Clappy but I always have inner Joy in knowing I’m valued as a person of worth to my Lord regardless of what others think about me and I believe this about everyone. For God so Loved the World even those He knew would reject Him.

I have always believed in and have also experienced the difference between Worldly love and God’s Love and without Trust True Love will not last. Jesus called the Pharisees a Brood of Vipers but if we read what He said to them next it shows He Loved them, yes He knew their hearts as He knows everyone’s and it grieved Him that they were going to Hell and yes I also grieve when my friends ignore God’s Love for them but I continue to pray their eyes will be opened and they will come to their senses and have Heart repentance even if it is on their deathbed, only God knows their Eternal destiny.

I have had a friend staying with me this week Lynn but I Hope to visit you and my other Blogging friends later today or tonight when Angie goes home. I got up very early this Morning to answer Comments and to prepare for Nicks Birthday today. I’m sure God had a very good reason for only having a 24 hour day but sometimes I need it to be doubled and no doubt you do too or are you very organized Lynn regardless of unexpected events?

May God Bless you greatly Lynn just as you have Blessed others and continue to do so.
