Today is Mothers Day and many Mums will be remembered with Love and Thankfulness, gifts and flowers will be in abundance and the Family get togethers will long be remembered with joy.
Mother’s Day for me is very different it brings back Memories of my Seven little ones who are in Heaven but Thankfully over the years my Arms and Heart have been filled with other peoples Children especially those who come to my Funday School although this year because I’m moving which I will share about with you soon, I don’t have Funday School running and I am very much missing the Children, although they do come and visit for a short time and we talk about many things and often about Jesus too and I remind them that He Loves them very much just as He does us.
This Morning I had two of the young girls visit me for Mothers Day, they had made me a beautiful card, yes I’m very Blessed to be Grannie Annie to these Children.
I’m sure you will agree with me that Grandmothers all types are indeed Special too, especially to their Grandchildren as we can see below, sit back, relax and enjoy “Grandmother’s are Special”…..
.
Grandmother’s are Special…
A Letter from a very young Granddaughter…
A Grandmother is a lady who has no Children of her own. She likes other people’s little girls and boys. A Grandfather is a man Grandmother, he goes for walks with the boy’s and they take them fishing and stuff like that.

Grandmothers don’t have to do anything except to be there. They’re so old that they shouldn’t play hard or run. It is enough if they drive us to the market where the pretend horse is and have lots of coins ready. Or if they take us for walks they slow down past things like pretty leaves and caterpillars, they never say, “Hurry up.”

Some Grandmothers are big, but not too big to tie your shoes.
They wear glasses and funny underwear.
They can take their teeth and gums off.
Grandmothers don’t have to be smart, only answer questions like,
”Why isn’t God married?” and “How come dogs chase cats?”
Grandmothers don’t talk baby talk like visitors do, because it is hard to understand.
When they read to us they don’t skip, or mind if it’s the same story over again and they are good fun.

Everybody should try to have a Grandmother, especially if they don’t have a Television, because they are only grown-ups who have time.
Grandmothers Give Great hugs …….
.
Love your Grandmother she is worth it (Grandfather is too!)

My dad said he was orphaned as early as a child. That means I never had any grand parent from his side.
My mum had her parents alright, but she lost them before I was born. That means I never got to see them too.
To answer your question Anne, I didn’t have any grand parent to spoil me. But I got all the spoiling I needed from my parents, especially from my dad.
I was born at their old age…being the last born. Even though they are no more, I know they greatly loved me. Remember how Jacob loved Joseph, as a child of his old age? I can relate to that to a very large extent. That’s my story Anne.

I’m sure you are a great Grandmother, and your post was a loving idea
I’m sorry to say my Grandmother was not a easy person to get on with, she was scary with a fiery temper, unlike my mother who was always happy and loving

I’m sorry to hear Graham that you never had Love and Care from your Grandmother but perhaps she Loved you but could not express it, some people are like this. Thankfully you had a Loving Mother, I didn’t mine was very abusive but she also may have had problems she couldn’t resolve.
I never knew my Grandmothers and my 7 Children did not live for me to be a Grandmother but as I shared before, I have been Grannie Annie to many Children over the years even though they are not my own flesh and blood, yes I have been greatly Blessed.
Thanks Graham for visiting and sharing – Anne.

I was never fortunate enough to know my grandmothers, but my mother was wonderful as one… Our children remember those walks in nature… and her loving care whenever they were with her….I love being one too…though my grandchildren are now adults… (I still have one great-granddaughter though to remind me of the energy and innocence of a small child) I know you love your ‘Funday School children’… Diane

You don’t have to give Birth to be a Loving Mommy or a Grannie, Love comes from the Heart not the womb.

When I was fourteen, I had to move in with my grandmother. She was 77, at the time. My brother was also with us…he was sixteen. Pretty brave for a woman that age to take on two teenage boys. Sparing you a long story, I will say that she was a very special grandmother…Nana, as we all called her. I was there through high school graduation.
Now, my wife is a grandmother at the ripe old age of 50 and I see how she loves those grandchildren. I am sure any one of them would be welcome to stay here, if the need arose (may it never).

John I will respond to your questions on your Post in the near future, I’m packing to move and have little time right now, I hope you understand perhaps in a few days or sooner, you raised some very important points.

I only wish. I was there back in ’83 for a few days as a port stop with the ship I was on. I absolutely love your country and it was especially nice as a family (Peter and Karen Smith, I recall) entertained me for a couple of days, taking me to a preserve (Widonga, I think) and being most hospitable.

Sounds good John, we went on a holiday to America, Wow it was wonderful the Americans we met were so kind and friendly, we had a great time.
John I really appreciate you visiting and sharing with me, I’m looking forward to continuing reading you Posts but what happens if we don’t agree, do you value Scripture above what you feel is True or been lead to believe by others? and if proven wrong by the confirmation of Scripture are you Thankful or resentful? if you asked me I would say you would be Thankful.
Blessings – Anne.

If I am mistaken, so be it. I am willing to learn if I am in error. I believe that, in the end, it is about Jesus. It is about love…His love. Yes, I would be thankful if someone shows me differently than my view. I will not claim exertise.
I would rather not argue, though…I am open to exchanges from anyone who does not agree, so long as they are not set on proving me wrong, as I will not try to prove them wrong. Point, counterpoint, rebuttal, etc., with civility and decency, grace and love.
Of course, anyone who comes at me like a Pharisee just might get both barrels aimed at them. I have little patience for false, judgmental and spurious doctrines, which contradict all Jesus said and did. I will be nice, but direct.

I don’t argue either John but I do correct error as God asks us to do but only with His Truth as confirmed in Scripture but some would rather continue to believe their error or what they have been taught in error even though Scripture shows they are wrong.
Sorry John for taking so long to respond to your Comment , I have been packing all day, I still have a few weeks before the move but there is a lot to sort through and pack.
