Our New M & M

micky-5This Month has been a month of surprises some of which I will also share about on my next Post but one that I give heartfelt Thanks for is the joy of Micky Moo my new M &M furry friend.

I was shopping and noticed a home wanted advertisement for a 4 year old little Chihuahua cross dog, I phoned the owners and they brought Micky Moo around to see me, Wow he was cute, we became friends right away, he looked very much like a Chihuahua as his hair was shaved, see below, it’s growing back now as you can see in the Photo above,  he is crossed with a Foxy and he is very active.

The couple who owned Micky Moo were elderly and found that they could not give him the attention he needed. Micky Moo had been very cruelly treated as a puppy and was in a Animal Refuge and than a few Foster homes, yes he has emotional problems that will take time and Love to overcome but we are friends now and that makes a big difference.

Mo-Joe has accepted Micky Moo, although they don’t play together yet they are not aggressive towards each other and even sit together sometimes. They do have things in common, they love food, balls, walks and yes hugs and kissels too.

Below is a message I received by e-mail about the joy of having doggy friends, I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I did and will recognize how True it is if you also have furry friends.

.

IF I DIDN’T HAVE DOGS

dog-toys-8My house would not look like a Day Care Center, toys everywhere…

All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars

would be free of hair.

I could sit on the lounge and my bed the way I wanted, without taking
into consideration how much space several furry bodies
would need to get comfortable…

baby-gateMy house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates or barriers
and it could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated…

vetI would not be on a first-name basis with 5 Veterinarians, I really feel like
one of their family, I visit so often.

I could walk around the yard barefoot and in safety. I’d look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading ‘mud’ season.

doors153When the doorbell rang, it wouldn’t sound like a Kennel and I could get to the door without wading through fuzzy bodies who beat me there…

The most used words in my vocabulary would not be…

Out, Sit, Down, Come, No, Stay, and Leave him/her/it Alone!

monty-8I could have a Shower without an Audience…

My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, water bottles treats
and an extra leash.

765I would have money… and no guilt trips about going on a real Vacation and
coming back when I was in the mood…

monty-9Wash day would not include little furry bodies…

I would no longer have to spell the words…

B-A-L-L, F-R-I-S-B-E- E, W-A-L-K,

B-A-T-H, T-R-E-A-T, C-A-R, B-I-K-E, G-O,

R-I-D-E, C-A-T.

mony7I would not have as many leaves Inside my house as outside.

I would not look strangely at people who think having a dog or cat
ties them down too much…

I would not have to answer the question ‘Why do you have animals?’
from people who have never enjoyed the closeness of animals,
or been blessed by their loyalty, trust and appreciation…

I would be missing out on a lot of Happiness if I could not share my life
with my four Legged Friends, I give thanks for them,
they are a real blessing.

  1. Your furry babies are adorable! I loved the poem. As someone once said, no outfit is complete without dog hair. ❤

Hahaha, I made room for fury friends of a different kind. I love them as much as I did T@C. I dreamed last night Tibby and Charlie were here with me. Knocking on the bed to go outside. The feeling I had was exactly the same as when they were young and I had to lift them up inside the bed with me. Get sick and you have crazy dreams.

    • I often think of Monty too Bj I still miss him but Micky is cute and very affectionate as well as being the most active dog I have had for a long time but I haven’t had dreams about any of my Pets, still at least you had some time with Tibby and Charlie again, maybe you needed it.

      Blessings – Anne.

We don’t have animals. We just raised kids. They grow up and move away, unlike animals. When we go away we don’t have to find someone to sit them and pay $50 a day for their services. Now, after 54 years of marriage, we have 14 grandkids who visit for a few hours. Then we send them home. I prefer them.

    • Having Pets Sally is not just about Money or not having Children, we know they are a very important part of our lives but so can Pets be too. As the message above tells us Sally and I agree……..

“Without Pets I would be missing out on a lot of Happiness if I could not share my life with my four Legged Friends, I give thanks for them, they are a real blessing.”

  5. It was so good of you to take this little doggie. Yes, those who haven’t had cats and dogs, can’t really imagine the comfort and joy they add to our lives. We still have one cat we got from a shelter…but alas we lost our dog Koko, before Christmas…. Diane

    • I’m sorry Diane you lost your Koko but pleased you have your cat. I lost Monty just before Christmas too and I miss him sooooo much but I remember each Pet has their own joy to give, Micky is special too and I have another doggie staying with me for a few weeks who is also sweet, I will share about Gilly on my next Post.

The house has not been sold yet and my procedures are next week, I hope they find what is causing the Internal bleeding, apparently I have been bleeding a long time, perhaps more than a year, anyway one day at a time and with focusing on God and not on the problems.

I’m not sure if you have Posted again Diane but I will visit soon. Blessings – Anne.

  7. Congratulations on your new dog. The post made an interesting reading.
I remember having two dogs sometime in my pre-teen years. That was then; I don’t have any now due to a number of reasons. Keep enjoying your four-legged friends.
