Christmas colors! It is said the red of Christmas is for the blood of the cross of Jesus. You might react negatively to this statement. You might think “Why spoil the fun of Christmas with such an ugly, hideous story about a good, though confused, man that was executed 2000 years ago?”

We can’t separate Christmas joy from Good Friday pain (and Easter celebration!) Red is such a vivid color and reminder. I remember one winter seeing 6 male cardinals in our back yard dotting the green pine trees and white snow of the winter landscape. It was breathtaking with its beauty. The red of Christmas points us to the eternal beauty of Jesus Christ!

What a wonderful remembrance Debbie and it is indeed amazing how many red Christmas flowers and plants there are too as well as Birds and Trees. There is a beautiful red blossoming Tree across the road and every time I see it now it reminds me again the Real Reason for the Season.
I agree with you Debbie that the Red of Christmas points us to the Eternal beauty of Jesus Christ, His blood was shed to save us from Eternal Separation from the Godhead or Trinity as we call Them today.

So very True Bj but even more than Amazing, I don’t really think there is a word BIG enough to describe God’s Love, we just accept it and give Thanks.

Life is indeed in the Blood and we see in Creation the color red noticeably at Christmas when Jesus came to bring us Eternal life through His blood being shed for us.
