Do we Blame God Now when we Suffer and have Hardship

Why do some blame God for their suffering even if they sugar coat it and say it is for our good.  A few of the Ministries I was involved in over the years were reaching out to both Atheists and Cults in the Hope they would come to realize the deception they believed in, were any hearts changed; I don’t know only God does, which is why we can never judge anyone’s Eternal Destiny but seeds were planted which may bear good fruit even on their death beds or before.

When Ministering to those who were walking in darkness, I soon realized it was a common assumption with Atheists, which they seek to prove and try to force on others, even though they claim not to believe in God and that we are suppose to have just invented Him in our delusion and that the Bible, was just written by men but as confirmed below this is not True and we know there is over 300 Truths in Scripture that only God could have known when they were recorded.

2 Timothy 3:16-17  All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the Man of God may be Perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

They say our God deliberately afflicts us, that He is cruel and also seeks to teach and dominate us by force, to make us Puppets leaving us without free will but as we see in the Scriptures below, they say this because they are reading the Scriptures with fleshy eyes, they have no Light, they are in darkness.

2 Timothy 3:1-17 This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with Sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses so do these also resist the Truth men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the Faith. But they shall proceed no further for their folly shall be manifest unto all men as their’s also was.

I was  often challenged by Atheists and people in Cults and still am today but also by those deceived by their teaching even in our own Denominations who believe that God chooses to hurt us, they doubt God is Love in all His ways towards us and believe He afflicts us by doing  evil to bring good out of it, which the Scriptures tell us is Slander (Romans3:8)  but yes He does work everything for good in our lives including what Satan and others mean for evil.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

This  deception that God willingly afflicts us for our good which  even some Christians believe, has caused many to blame God for what Satan who controls this earth and others do to us that causes us to suffer or because we live in a fallen world or because of our own Sin.

God does not hurt us willingly to teach or punish us  and He will not force us to Love and obey His will but He does discipline His own by letting us reap the evil we sow until we come to our senses like the Prodigal son  and this is not pleasant, who enjoyed time out as a child. He also chastises and warns those who Sin through the Scriptures and The Body of Christ.

Some ask; If God knew bad things would happen, why did He create Satan and Mankind,  He did so because He is Love and Love never gives up, it continues to Hope and He knew from Eternity that you and I would Love Him with all our heart and so the gain outweighed the lose, to Him our friendship was worth all His heartbreak, we are His priceless Treasure and so He sent Jesus to Redeem us, to pay the cost when man would not listen and Jesus willingly suffered for us…How great is God’s Love!

Why create Satan,  if we have no choice than we are Puppets! but God did not create him evil, Satan chose to rebel against God’s Authority, he wants His Power and Glory.

But it’s  not God’s  will anyone perishes, which means to be separated from Him in Eternal Torment but He knows those who are His and those who are not, which is what these Scriptures  below confirm…..

Romans 8:29 For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Titus 2:13-15 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all Authority. Let no man despise thee.

Those God knows as His own, will know Him as He is, it was by His hand in Creation that we are all Born, and those He foreknow as His own, He chooses to be conformed into the image of Jesus even before we are conceived and when we are Born He knows us even every hair on our head and His thoughts about us outnumber the grains of sand and His plans for us are very good.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

He knows the Destiny of all of us, He knows those who will come to heart repentance, and those who won’t, He never forces anyone to accept Him, He does not want Puppets but for us to willingly choose to Love and so obey Him and to do so we must first humble ourselves and repent for all the evil we have done and said so we can accept His forgiveness and than be empowered to obey Him as we Ask, Seek and Knock.

2 Timothy 2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth the Name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Thankfully Babies and Children who do not understand good and evil go to be with God, they are never punished for the sins of their Parents, all the Children who have died and did not know right from wrong, were saved Eternally, as they all are today. The Israelite’s Children were allowed to enter the Promised Land even though their adulterous Parents were not.

God is not for evil or does He deliberately allow it, what some believe to be evil is not, it is Merciful and Compassionate and comes from God’s heart of Love. Yes evil does happen to us, as it did to Paul (see below) this is why we Trust God to work it all out for good, even if those we Love hurt us and continue to hurt us, we know without doubt God won’t but we can’t Trust Him fully in the flesh either, only through The Holy Spirit who we ask for and receive like God’s wisdom.

2 Timothy 3: 10-13 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, Purpose, Faith, Longsuffering, Charity, Patience, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium at Lystra what persecutions I endured but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived.

So is it God’s will we suffer, the Scriptures say No! do we have to suffer to have Compassion for others who do, No, genuine Compassion comes from The empowering of The Holy Spirit not the flesh, many become bitter and angry when they suffer and blame God, some even reject Him, or they seek revenge when others hurt them.

Some judge those who suffer as deserving and those who show their emotion as being weak and not having Faith but we remember Jesus cried and was known as a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and yet He had deep inner Joy in knowing who He was and regardless of our circumstances we can too.

Those of us who suffer for doing good will be kept strong in our spirit and will be greatly rewarded.

Psalm 126:5-6 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

We also need to hold onto the Truth that God is not a Sadist or does He expect us to be Masochists, when He tells us to give thanks in all things, even when we suffer, it is not for what causes our suffering or hardship that we are giving thanks for but because we can be assured that He is with us as we go through them ( see below) Jesus is our Shepherd and all will work out for good, this is why we give thanks which in turn gives us great inner Joy. But if we blame God for what we suffer we will live in fear and torment of what He will do to us even if sugar coated it is for our good.

John 10:7-11 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the Door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the Door by me if any man enter in he shall be saved and shall go in and out and find pasture. The thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. I am The good Shepherd; The good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

As we choose to walk in The Fruit of The Spirit (see below) we are empowered to do so by Him and we than increase in these strengths and the evil of our fleshy mind and soul are put to death, because evil and good cannot Co-exist in Unity and God’s Love is the strongest power on this earth to demolish strongholds and so we patiently go through trouble and hardship knowing they will have an end.

Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Now that we are in the end times and we can see once again the practices and customs of the Pagans and other unbelievers in our God of Creation, starting to have a great influence today, making it necessary for Jesus Christ to return and to separate His True followers from those who do evil before the end of this World as we know it comes. Satan seeks to hurt us which is the exact opposite of God’s plans for us. (see below ) Satan’s children or followers also seek to hurt, belittle, accuse, slander and deceive but God will keep us strong to the end and like Loving Parents with their young, He will be by our side to help us.

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

To wait on The Lord , means also to Trust Him and depend on Him, to know His plans for us are very good, our tears are captured in the vessel of His heart and He will change them all to Joy. We are the Children of the Promise, Abraham’s Spiritual seed and we outnumber the Stars. Galatians 3:28-29

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

We ask God for His empowering as King David did below and to help us make every thought captive to Christ, so our actions will follow, as often said ….What would Jesus do!

Psalm 51 (10 ) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
