When We Are Hurting

I had an appointment at the Doctors yesterday Morning and had only a few minutes to spare but as I rounded a bend on my Mobility Scooter, I saw this colorful little Rainbow Lorikeet Parrot trying to fly but it’s wing was damaged and he could only just hop.

I held my breath  as a Truck pulled into the side of the road just inches from the hurt Parrot, the Truck Driver seemed to be in a hurry and just nodded and went on his way when I told him about the hurt bird. I tried a few times to catch the Parrot thinking I could take him to a Vet but he hoped out of reach each time, no doubt thinking I was going to hurt him more. I prayed he would be rescued knowing God even cares about the Sparrows, than running late now for my Doctor’s appointment I went on my way.

As I was driving along the road thinking about the hurt Parrot, I wondered how many people when they are hurting are afraid to Trust God, believing that it was Him who afflicted them or willingly allowed it to happen, perhaps to teach them or mold them into a fit Vessel, this deception is not confirmed in the Scriptures, the opposite is True, as we can see below and in other Scriptures, all good things come from God not evil, He hates Satan’s tools that are used for suffering and hardship and does not afflict His Children but those who reject Him and live in Sin will suffer the curse, this is their choice not God’s, He does not want anybody to perish meaning to be Eternally Separated from Him.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

When you truly Love someone you want the best for them and will even sacrifice your own wants to please them. God still provides even for those who hurt Him by their indifference and Sin. He Loved the  World this means everyone in it and so He sent Jesus to redeem those who would accept His free gift of Salvation.

Psalm 145:8-10 The Lord is Gracious and full of Compassion slow to anger and of great mercy. The Lord is good to all and His Tender Mercies are over all His works. All thy works shall Praise Thee, O Lord and Thy Saints shall Bless Thee.

God is Love and can be no other way, what He hates is Sin because it separates us from Him and we cannot be in close fellowship, good and evil cannot be in Unity but He does not stop Loving us and will seek to rescue us and as we come to our senses and repent He will welcome us Home because He has known us from Eternity as His own. He molds us by giving us opportunities to choose to walk in the Fruit of The Spirit and empowers us so we can, this puts our Carnal flesh to death and also Stores up Treasure in Heaven as we Aim to be Perfected in Love.

Psalm 145 14-21 The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon thee and thou givest them their meat in due season.Thou openest thine hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing. The Lord is Righteous in all His ways, and Holy in all His works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in Truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him He also will hear their cry and will save them.

Those who sow in evil will reap evil this is God’s Discipline, when we continue to Sin we separate ourselves from God but He will chastise His own through the Body of Christ and we will be rebuked and warned and than if like the Prodigal Son we come to our senses and repent and turn from evil, Wow what a Welcome Home!

Psalm 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness neither shall evil dwell with thee.

We live in a fallen World controlled by Satan, who temps us to do evil, accidents happen, sickness and Death are a reality and others in the flesh hurt us but we don’t walk alone. When we are suffering our Abba Father gives us His Strength to endure and the Help we need, He Loves us greatly, we never have to doubt that we are Precious to Him and that His Plans for us are very good not evil.

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth Temptation for when he is tried he shall receive the Crown of life which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. Let no Man say when he is Tempted I am Tempted of God, for God cannot be tempted with evil neither tempteth He any Man But every Man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the Evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is True and we are in Him who is True, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and Eternal life.

If God was to stop all evil now, many would be lost but He is patient giving us time, He does not willingly allow evil, He tolerates it, it’s not His will anyone perishes but we can be assured not one of us, who He has known from Eternity and who are Adopted by Him, will be lost , He protects our Soul and is always with us giving us strength to endure whatever hardship life brings, including the fire of Satan’s trials .

Isaiah 43:1-3 Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you I have called you by name you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression you will not be burned up the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD your God The Holy One of Israel your Saviour.”
