Light Shining Through The Cross On An American Flag.

God Blessed America

Janna Noe doing her weekly shop at Fry’s Grocery Store in Yuma on September 12, 2001 the day after the horrific attack on America’s Twin Towers noticed an American Flag had been hung between two cranes in the parking lot of the grocery store in honor of the fireman and others who worked tirelessly to help the victims, it was 60 feet tall and 120 feet wide.

As the sun was going down Janna took a few photos  but to her amazement when looking at them later, she saw a Cross shining through the stars on the Flag, this had been created by the sun’s rays. The photo is authentic and untouched.

Is their a logical reason to explain this occurrence, yes no doubt like the position of light on the material etc But can we overlook the deeper significance which is the Light of the Lord shining through in the darkness, offering His Love and Hope when all seems lost.

Let us too Shine through the darkness reflecting the Light of the Lord offering
His Love and Hope to a World that is hurting and needing guidance.

But we can’t do it alone…

jesus-the-light-of-the-worldJesus Christ The Day Star and Morning Star rises in our hearts
and then we Shine as His Stars or Lights ?”

Philippians 2:15 So that we may become blameless and pure Children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation in which we Shine like Stars in the Universe.

2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure Word of Prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a Light that shineth in a dark place, until the Day Dawn and The Day Star arise in your Hearts (KJV)

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the Churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and Morning star.

God Bless  America greatly, some memories stay in our hearts, please keep this one close to you.

Christian Love and Blessings Anne.

Sometimes in our suffering, we think that God has somehow abandoned us. What a beautiful picture and reminder you shared that God knows every detail of our lives and He is with us in the midst of our sorrows and pain! Psalm 18:28 – “You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning, my God turns my darkness into light.” Thank God that Jesus is our light and will always be the light of this world!

    • It is so wonderful to know Debbie without a doubt that God is for us not against us, Satan lies so we don’t Trust our Abba Father when Life brings Suffering and Hardship and some even claim that God brings them.

You encourage me greatly with the Scripture you share Debbie, it vanishes any doubts that God does evil to bring good out of it, He is Love and can be no other way and Love cannot and does-not do what is evil.

I remember years ago when I had an eye infection. I could not shake it, even after seeing the doctor and taking medication for it. As the infection continued, I asked a more mature Christian friend why God was doing this to me.

I still remember her answer. It was the following scripture. Matthew 7:9-11 – “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

As the mom of two young boys at the time, it made perfect sense. It was a teachable moment that I have not forgotten!

        • Debbie you are so wise to listen to Godly advise some reject it for their own fleshy understanding or for what they have been taught in error and so they suffer needlessly both emotionally and physically.

Unfortunately I passed on e-mails with this wrong teaching until God convicted me of my error, I repented and now stand firm on His Truth.

To believe that God deliberately hurts us can cause great harm and some have even rejected Him because of it. When Ministering to Atheists one of the main things they claimed was that the God we make up is cruel and vindictive. Cults also teach that God molds and shapes us by causing us to suffer and they write books, Poems compose and send e-mails to propagate it. Often even Ex -Cult Members still believe it and share it in their new Churches, the Scriptures unless understood by the empowering of The Holy Spirit will be distorted and not Spiritually understood.

I was once also told by a Woman Bible leader, that the horror and abuse I experienced in my Childhood and in my first Marriage was by God’s will, even loosing my 7 Babies was His plan for me and that all good and bad things come from His hand. But the Scripture below tell us differently and there are others as well as Matthew 7:9-11 that you shared.

Yes all good comes from God but Satan controls this world and he uses evil to do so, he won the right at the fall and we can see this with Job and others in Scripture. We also reap what we sow good and bad, evil brings evil but others in their Carnal flesh can hurt us too, just as Jesus said they would especially when we follow Him but great will be our reward.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

Psalm 97:9-11 For thou, Lord, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. Ye that Love the Lord, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of His Saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous and gladness for the upright in heart.

Annie, the concept of suffering as Christians can be such a “touchy subject.” We are to expect suffering. 2 Corinthians 1:5 – “For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.”

God does not cause suffering, but He does allow it and most importantly, limits the suffering in our lives. Job is the biblical example of this. Job 1:12 – “The LORD said to Satan, ‘Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.’ Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.”
Job 2:6 – “The LORD said to Satan,
‘Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.’”

A quote about suffering: “Take the very hardest thing in your life – the place of difficulty, outward or inward, and expect God to triumph gloriously in that very spot. Just there He can bring your soul into blossom.” Parables of the Cross, p.17 (Lilias Trotter) Annie, I think we both have experienced this!

Praise God for His glory that shines into the darkest parts of our lives revealing an unexpected beauty!

I go back to Genesis 50:20. “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

God even uses the harm that others or Satan intends for our good! (God doesn’t cause it, but He will use it.) That is a loving Father who knows how to bring about good for His children.

    • God does not willingly allow suffering and Hardship Debbie, as the Scriptures confirm, He does not test us with evil, to do so is to agree with it and God hates evil and so does not do evil or allow it to bring good from it, to say this even about Believers is slander (Romans3:8) but He does know we will suffer and yes when we suffer for Him we will be greatly rewarded.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

Satan has the right to put us to the Test just as he did with, Jesus, Job, Paul etc Job did not know that it was Satan that caused his suffering but He did apologize to God later when He assured Job that all good things come from His hand, not evil and through all Job’s suffering God gave him the Strength to endure, as He does with us.

1 Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold Temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth Temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. Let no man say when he is Tempted, I am Tempted of God: for God cannot be Tempted with evil, neither Tempteth He any man But every man is Tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Yes it grieves God to see us suffer but when we do we can rejoice that He is with us and yes as you shared Debbie, whatever we suffer He will bring good from it and this is an assurance that gives us inner Joy.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

      • In answer Debbie to Genesis 50:20. yes God knew what would happen to Joseph and He knew He would use it for good and this is the same with us, He knows everything about us before we are conceived including that we will accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, yes He knows those who are His and by His foreknowledge He chooses us to be conformed into the image of Jesus and not one of us will be lost.

  2. You killed Jesus Bijbelvorsers and so did I, our Sin put Him on a cruel Cross, we are the worst of Sinners! He died in agony and was also separated from God His Father because of our Sin.

Yes Crosses were carved out of Trees, perhaps Jesus’ earthly father Joseph being a Carpenter may have carved them too, do you know for sure that he didn’t and if so what is your confirmation, is it what Man tells you or God?

We as Christians don’t glorify the Cross Bijbelvorsers but that Jesus because of His great Love for the Father and for us, chose to die to Redeem us from the penalty of our past Sins, this we give Heartfelt Thanks for, this we value greatly, yes He died and rose and also set us free from the Slavery of Sin, so when we are Born Again of God’s seed and perfected in Love, having put our Carnal flesh to death by the empowering of The Holy Spirit, we don’t Sin. 1John 3:9 KJV

All the Scriptures below confirm the Cross, all are from the KJV the closest to the original Greek Translation……..

Corinthians 1:!8 For the Preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness but unto us which are saved it is the Power of God. KJV

Mark 8:34-38 And when he had called the people unto Him with His Disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his Cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the Gospel’s the same shall save it.KJV

    Matthew 27:32
    Matthew 10:38
    Philippians 2:8
    Matthew 16:24
    Hebrews 12:2
    Galatians 5:11
    Galatians 6:12

    “Hands Of Love”

His hands reached out in infinitive embrace drawing mankind from every race, His Love He gave without restraint not counting the cost given to save the dying and lost.

The rusty nails left their mark tearing away His very heart, yet the greatest pain He did bear was knowing with the Father He could not share, for sin had barred the Heavenly gate leaving an emptiness in its wake,

Through His agony and despair His Love for us was constantly there, calling the Father to set us free so we would Lovingly come and bow our knees.

What was lost was regained a Child was given then reclaimed, death could not hold Him down for the King of Life wears a Golden crown.

The Truth of the cross is plain to see mankind given liberty, Christ’s blood shed to cover and then wash away our sin as The Holy Ghost is placed with in, Eternity proclaimed through His Name and we no longer bear the shame.

The Saviour’s hands stretched out for us because the Father knew we would accept the gift of life through His Son who paid the price.
