Let’s be Prepared…..

Armour of God

The Devil seeks to Trap us Christians and will use what appeals to our Carnal flesh before we put it to death by The Spirit as we Aim to be Perfected in Love, he knows our weaknesses and shortcomings and uses them to put us into bondage. Let’s be prepared and put on the full Amour of God in Christ Jesus who is our Shield and let’s do so because we Love God with all our Heart and want to obey Him.

Armour of LoveEphesians 6:10-19 Finally, my Brethren, be Strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might. Put on the Whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against Principalities, against Powers, against the Rulers of the Darkness of this World, against spiritual wickedness in High Places. Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to Stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with Truth, and having on the Breastplate of Righteousness And your feet shod with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; Above all, taking the Shield of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the Helmet of Salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, Praying always with all Prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all Perseverance and Supplication for all Saints and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my Mouth Boldly, to make known the Mystery of the Gospel. (KJV)

For some time in my life I wasn’t prepared and was caught in Satan’s Trap but wonderfully I was set free when I chose to be and because of God’s Love and Mercy  He showed me it was a reality even before it came to be.

The first link below is to a Poem I wrote many years ago and shares the danger but also the answer to a life of Freedom from the Bondage of Sin, the other link is a message that brings assurance from Scripture that The Battle is not ours.

WomanSatan wants to burden us with a heavy load  but The Lord is with us all the way and tells us not to fear…..

Matthew 11:28 -30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.(KJV)

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.” (KJV)

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope. (KJV)

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of Men.(KJV)

Thank you dear Blogging friends  for sharing in my life, as we listen to Jesus and follow in His way He shows us how to Trust and Obey and He Shields and empowers us as He leads the way.

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my Strength and my Shield my heart Trusted in Him, and I am Helped therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth and with my Song will I Praise Him. (KJV)

Psalm 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a Shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.(KJV)

Psalm 115:11 He is their Help and their Shield Ye that fear the LORD, Trust in the LORD: He is their Help and their Shield  (KJV)

  4. SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE? BY STEVE FINNELL

Where should people look for spiritual guidance? Should they look to Max Lucado, John Piper, Billy Graham, Pope Francis, etc.

Where did the 1st. century church look for spiritual guidance? Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine and fellowship, in breaking of bread, and prayers. (NKJV) John 14:15-18 “If you love Me, keep My commandments……(NKJV)

The 1st century church followed the apostles doctrine. Jesus taught the apostles in person and through the Holy Spirit.

Max Lucado denies that water baptism is essential for salvation.

    Max Lucado Quote:
“What of the ones who die before they have a chance? What if I entrust my soul to Christ and before I can tell anyone or arrange to be baptized, a swarm of killer bees attacks me and I die?”
The answer to this question is found in the character of God. Would a God of love reject an honest heart? No way. Would a God of mercy and kindness condemn any seeking soul? Absolutely not. Having called you and died for you would he cast you away because of a curious sequence of events? Inconceivable. Is it possible for an unbaptized believer to be saved? Yes, definitely. Should every believer be baptized? Yes, definitely.

Max Lucado believes salvation comes before being immersed in water.

Jesus said, Mark 16:16 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved…(NKJV)
Jesus said, John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.(NKJV)

Who are going to trust for spiritual guidance, Jesus or Max Lucado?

John Piper believe men are saved by grace alone.

    John Piper Quote:

Learn that you were saved by grace and be humbled. You were dead in sin, blind, rebellious. And then, by grace alone, you were awakened to the beauty of Christ crucified for sinners. And, by grace alone, you believed.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, (NKJV)

The gift of God that is mention here is salvation. Grace is available because Jesus died on the cross, however, God does not force His grace on men by imputing faith so they may believe and be saved.

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.(NKJV)

Faith come from hearing the gospel. God does not force men to have faith so they can believe and be saved.

Men are not saved by grace alone!

Who do you want to trust for spiritual guidance the apostle Paul or John Piper?

Billy Graham says you do not even need to know the name of Jesus to be saved.

    Billy Graham Quote:

“I think everybody that that loves Christ, or knows Christ, whether they’re conscious of it or not, they’re members of the body of Christ. And that’s what God is doing today. He’s calling people for ‘eh, out of the the world for his name whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world uh they are members of the body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus but uh they know in their hearts that they need something that they don’t have and they turn to the only light that they have. And I think that they are saved and they are going to be with us in heaven.”

Jesus said, John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one come to the Father except through Me. (NKJV)

Who are you going to look to for spiritual guidance, Jesus or Billy Graham?

Pope Francis believes unrepentant atheists can go to heaven by doing good works.

    Pope Francis Quote:

“The Lord has redeemed all of us, all of us, with the Blood of Christ: all of us, not just Catholics. Everyone! ‘Father, the atheists?’ Even the atheists. Everyone! And this Blood makes us children of God of the first class. We are created children in the likeness of God and the Blood of Christ has redeemed us all. And we all have a duty to do good. And this commandment for everyone to do good, I think, is a beautiful path towards peace. If we, each doing our own part, if we do good to others, if we meet there, doing good, and we go slowly, gently, little by little, we will make that culture of encounter: We need that so much. We must meet one another doing good. ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ But do good: We will meet one another there.”

Who are you going to trust for spiritual guidance Jesus and the apostles or Pope Francis?

The need for God’s armor is intense for another reason. 2 Corinthians 11:14: “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” When I first read that verse, it was an eye-opener. Satan will stop at nothing to draw us to him. Thank God that Jesus is our victor in every circumstance for all of eternity!

    • Debbie your comments always uplift me and it is very True what you shared, Satan is the Father of lies but yes when we draw close to God he flees.

I’m looking forward to reading your new Post although it may be tomorrow as I have two Teenage girls coming for the Weekend and I have to Shop, they use to come to my Funday School but they have moved to a new Town, their older Sister visited a few weeks ago now it’s their turn, so Grannie Annie is going to be very busy but I Love the girls so I enjoy preparing for them.

Having Armour is important in battle for protection and defense but like the picture of catching a fish .looks like a good one caught. But the father of lies, the Devil likes to ‘catch’ us when we have not our full protection . As Paul says in Eph 6 ‘ Put on the whole Armour ‘

Sin is part of our Carnal lives but not our Spiritual Lives because Jesus has set us free from it’s bondage.

Thank you Linda for visiting and for your encouragement, I only wish I could also Thank you for what you share too as I have been uplifted by your honesty and your willingness to seek Truth.

Thank you for your kind and encouraging words!

I am praying for the Lord’s guidance regarding allowing comments on my blog. When I did allow comments, Satan used the opportunity to attack me all over the internet — on Facebook, too. The mean spirited, deeply personal, trauma triggering attacks were almost unbelievable. I became so depressed that I didn’t want to go on living. Both my husband and our Christian therapist urged me to get off Facebook and to disallow comments on my blog, or else delete my blog. Which I did do, for several months. Delete my blog, I mean. I am still not on Facebook. Just seeing the ubiquitous FB logo made my heart pound, until a few months ago. I feel much stronger now. But when I consider going back on FB and opening comments on my blog, Proverbs 4:23 comes to mind, about guarding your heart above all that you guard, for out of it flows the rivers of life!

I think maybe after my memoir is finished, Satan won’t be so interested in trying to hinder me. Then I will probably try FB and comments again. 🙂

        • I do understand Linda, I was also abused when I started Blogging, I received hate mail was slandered behind my back and propositioned by a Married Man, although he wasn’t impressed when he realized I was an Aussie.

I have been hacked, deleted and ignored but these Hateful actions I believe are mostly from Cults and False Teachers but yes also some Carnal Childish Christians. Ron joined me on my Blog to protect me, he use to Post but he only does comments now. I also have Spam Protection and Moderate those who are abusive or present problems or I mark them as Spam so I don’t even have to read their comments.

I’m praying for you Linda, remember it’s one step at a time when climbing a Mountain.
