The Hour After The “C” Word

CANCEROctober is the Month that we remember those who suffer from Breast Cancer and as Christians we pray for them to have God’s healing and assurance of His Love.

Debbie like Patty, and myself and many others, have come up real close to the Big C and today I would like to share Debbie’s story and give Thanks for her Trust and dependence on our Faithful God of Love and Compassion.

Debbie has now shared the ending of her Story this is her Link below.

Snowdrops for faith

It was the hour after I first heard the “c” word. The doctor seemed so confident in his conclusion that the lump was breast cancer. I reminded myself there was still the possibility that he was wrong. Hearing the first mention of cancer and my name in the same sentence stopped me in my tracks. The “c” word, biopsy, ultrasound pictures, and unasked questions played over and over in my mind.

In the hour after I first heard the “c” word, I still needed to run errands. Life had to go on. First on the list was picking up high school graduation pictures. As I drove to the photographer’s place, my mind was racing faster than the car.

I picked up the pictures, happy to see my youngest son handsome and all grown up. Would I see him graduate from college? What did my future hold? Breathe. We don’t know…

    Hello, Annie.
I’ve been away from blogging for quite a spell, but the Lord has instructed me to get back into the game. I had no idea how hard it would be to find my friends again. Hope you are well?

    • Wow Dei, it’s so good to hear from you again, I missed you after you disappeared but you can be sure I didn’t stop being your Blogging friend, True friends remain friends even if miles apart because Love is in the heart and when Love is in the heart it does not depart.

Now I’m rhyming which I often do when I’m feeling joy and when The Spirit empowers me, I’m so pleased God has called you to Blog again Dei and I look forward to sharing with you on our Blogs.

    • Hi BJ, it was good to hear that your feeling better, the medication may be strong but we Thank God that we can have relief from pain when needed through His Creation, although we are still careful to only have what has been prescribed. God knows how much we can endure and will give you His strength and healing regardless of what tools He uses, including Miracles.

Take Care, I will be in touch soon – Blessings – Anne.

        • Yes you will feel better BJ, but pain is never pleasant and something we don’t have to be Happy Clappy about but we rejoice knowing we are not going through it alone, Jesus is with us and will give us the strength to endure all Hardship.

Our Abba Father cares greatly too BJ and sends comfort and help like He did with your meals that are being cooked for you by someones who cares and wants to help and how blessed you are to have others who care about you and I do too, your a beautiful Christian woman with a big heart and I value your friendship greatly.

          Blessings – Anne.

We would be mindful of Debbie as she began her journey of treatment giving thanks as she said from the start that it’s in Gods hands, no better place to have them and she can be sure too, other cancer sufferers did empathize with her as she went though this anxious time in her life.

    Blessings

    • Yes I agree Love, Debbie would have had a lot of prayer support too, God would have raised up His intercessors, how many times have I been called to pray for someone in need even when I was unaware they were, it’s so wonderful to see answered prayer, yes Debbie is a Miracle of God’s Love and so are you and me.

Thank you – Christian Love Anne.

Anne, Thank you for sharing my story and more importantly, your love and support as we do life together! The song you chose is a wonderful reminder that God’s hand is upon our lives even if today we don’t understand His timing. (2 Peter 3:8: “But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.”)

    • Thank you for your Love and Support too Debbie, being Sisters in Christ Jesus is a very precious blessing for me, it’s wonderful to share with those who have the same heart focus and you have touched my heart Debbie with your honesty and your Love for God and His Family, I also appreciate very much when you share Scripture to uplift and encourage.

Even though there is no time in Heaven like there is on earth, everyday is an opportunity to come close to God and each other and He will give us as much time as we need to do so, He knows the beginning to the end and not a minute will be wasted in His reckoning.

We are two survivors and God has planes for us or we would not be here.

      Christian Love Always – Anne.
