Jesus Calls Us His Friends
How wonderful you are Lord Jesus beautiful beyond compare no words
can describe your greatness or how much you long to share.
Deep in your heart is a longing to draw us close to your side,
to direct and guide our footsteps so in Trust to you we will confide.
No sin that we have committed or pain that we have caused you to bear
will stop your Love and Compassion in which all Creation shares.
Could any hope that we had be greater then the desire of your Shepherds heart,
that we cease from our gay-abandon and the things that are tearing us apart.
For as we cherish the chattels of life we find only emptiness and strife
and from this you set us free on the Cross of Calvary.
You long that we may seek your presence within our very soul searching
for your Love so that in you we can be made whole.
Then knowing with all our being the reason you gave your all,
for your Love for us is greater than anything we can recall.
How beautiful you are our Saviour rejoicing that you call us Friends,
how wonderful are your promises on which we can depend.
Can any words express the wonder that you are when in our hearts is
your Rising Star and as your Joy is fully known in our life’s your grace
will constantly be shown.
Thank you Lord Jesus that your hand guides us through and as we seek your
wisdom your understanding is given anew.
Lord you never leave us this Truth our hearts proclaim
for you knew our Names when on the Cross you bore our shame.
So Thank you Lord Jesus for of your Love there is no end.
Thank you
Lord Jesus for calling us your Friends.
We remember this Easter…..
Just as a hatched egg brings New Life so does Jesus bring Eternal New Life when we believe in Him.

I am thankful each day for his love and friendship. For not letting go, for being patient with me, for being there when most seemed have abandon me. Jesus is our true loyal friend then, now and always. Thanks Anne for sharing God’s wisdom and love everyday. This I read this morning and I know Jesus was not only speaking to me but to all of us, “Our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18”

Very True Island Traveler, God knows those who are His from Eternity and not one of us will be lost, that is His promise which we can depend on. He also does not hurt us or cause us grief to mold us but yes life does and others and sometimes we do too but how wonderful that we can be assured we don’t go through it alone, as you shared He is always with us.

I know I missed your post over Easter I was doing a lot of reading and reflecting over Easter. Reflecting how far I have journey and I went to church 3 times also over Easter. I did good and feel good but for a pain in my leg

Happy Easter my sister in Christ! Truly a moment to celebrate our faith and to carry on blessings on new life in all that we do in the many days and years to come. My son was sick Holy Friday and prayed for healing, by Saturday afternoon he was well and we were able to attend an Easter vigil mass that started at 08:30 p.m., it ended by midnight when Christ resurrected from the dead so we all can hope to rise with him in heaven. My first vigil mass…was truly beautiful. We all saw about 20 people receiving confirmation…my son was so excited and curious. Yes, “Just as a hatched egg brings New Life so does Jesus bring Eternal New Life when we believe in Him.” My hope and prayer is that we all believe and live his words in our lives always and to share that belief to others no matter what so others may find him too. God bless you and your family.

I went shopping today with Ron but did a bit too much walking, Ron was waiting for me in the car but I couldn’t walk any further the pain from my pinched nerve running down my leg, was very intense, I sat on a bench and prayed and yes like with your Son, God healed me and there was no more pain and I was able to walk back to the car. God is so good , we are indeed blessed.

What a Friend we have in Jesus and yes it is a great privilege to be His friend, His Love is not just a word but an action too.
When someone tells me they value me as a friend like you did Peter, I have real inner Joy, so can you imagine the Joy I have in being Jesus’ Friend but of course you can because you have the same all empowering Joy.
God bless you greatly Peter in your Ministry to others as you continue to share how wonderful it is to know Jesus as our Friend and all that is needed to do so.

Hi,Anne,I just wrote a whole paragraph and hit post and it disappeared! Your poem is beautiful,just beautiful. We had the best Easter since Mom died.Our pastor preached as ifhe ‘d never get another chance to share the good news that Jesus died and rose again for your sins and mine He then walked over to the microphone and started singing this song.. Thanks Debbie for sharing this heart touching song, I love Worship in Song, it is something that God asks us to do together in The Body of Christ so we can mature by the empowering of The Holy Spirit, when the words impact our heart, yes there are some songs that have error but we will know them the same as we know False teachers.

Easter is the days of days and my favorite time of the year. My family and I, always go to Easter Virgil Mass. This is the most beautiful mass of the year and it usually last about 3 hours. We read scripture after scriptures that re-tells the history of salvation from Creation, to the Exodus to all the prophets that made the way for Christ…this readings are usually made while all the lights of the Church are turn down and then just before we read a letter of St. Paul proclaiming the resurrection of the Christ all the lights of the Church are turn on while the bells start ringing and the choir sings Glory to God! It is very profoundly beautiful and full of the Holy Spirit. After the letter of the St. Paul is read (usually a passage or a chapter) the Priest sings Alleluia and then read the Gospel. After that he gives a homily (sermon) and proceeded to baptize 23 catechumens!!! That is newly minted Christians. Right after baptism then the Priest lay his hands and anointed with the Holy Spirit confirming them in their Faith. I can’t really describe how beautiful this celebration is…soon after confirmation then the Priest celebrates the Eucharist and after communion the Mass is over and the whole Church goes out to have a little get together to celebrate in fellowship with some refreshment. I got home about 1:30am ! It was awesome!

When we remember Caleb both what Christmas and Easter is really all about we can rejoice in what ever way we choose to celebrate them, I’m pleased you felt close to The Lord as you took the time to thank Him for His sacrificial death for us so we may have Salvation and Eternal life, given freely because of His great Love that never ends.
I don’t focus much on bunnies at Easter Caleb although God did create them and they are really cute and yes Chocolate ones are sooooooo good to eat but they don’t really know very much about Easter, when I asked one of them they just looked at me with their ears wobbling all over their face and than hopped away Lol . With the Children in Funday School and R.E I find the Chicken and the egg is a good way to share about New Life in Jesus, they understand because they can see it’s reality.

Anne – I never consider my caring for Tom as sacrificial. Tom is the true love of my life and until he came into my life, I had no idea two people could love so completely and honestly. Our vows included in sickness and health and I’ll honor those vows until I leave this earth.

As I said Sheri, you are a woman of great worth and strength, True Love comes from God, so to have Spiritual Love for others we need to know Jesus Christ first in our heart, when we are Married and we both have this Love for Jesus, we are not only one in the flesh but one in Spirit too and this is a Eternal bond that cannot be broken.

I’m pleased you enjoyed it Linda, I think it is beautiful too but I didn’t think your Church believed in the Godhead or Trinity as They are called today, The Three in One, Jesus The Living Word (John1:1) being in us is also confirmed in the Scripture as we see below, yes they have different rolls in the Godhead but Jesus and The Holy Ghost are One the same as with our Abba Father, Jesus is in Him and He in us too because they are One in Spirit.
Colossians 1:27-29 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory whom we preach, warning every man/woman, and teaching every man/woman in all wisdom; that we may present every man/woman perfect in Christ Jesus Whereunto I also labour, striving according to His working, which worketh in me mightily (KJV)

Yes, Anne, we do believe that they are three separate personages but all are one in purpose.
To cite only two of many such teachings, the Bible declares that man was created in the image of God, and it describes three separate members of the Godhead manifested at the baptism of Jesus (see Gen. 1:27; Matt. 3:13–17 KJV)

You missed the Scripture Linda that confirms that The Father, Jesus The Living Word and The Holy Ghost are One in Spirit even though They are three in Their roles.

When God talks about the spirit of contention it is not in reference to standing firm on His Truth but arguing about man’s own fleshy understanding you will notice I don’t do this I correct error by sharing God’s Truth.
For your Church to reject the Godhead or Trinity as they are called today Linda they have to reject all the Scriptures below too, which are God’s inspired words, the Scriptures you shared need to be read in context with the rest of the Scriptures but without The Holy Spirit’s empowering and God’s wisdom (1Corinthians 2:9-16) your Church cannot understand His Truth in the Scriptures, they will remain just words which all Cults and others who Trust in their own understanding or what they have been wrongly Taught cannot discern correctly and so God’s Truth will be foolishness to them and be rejected by them because they are not empowered by The Holy Spirit, instead they reject His Power in their lives because they reject God’s Truth and so do not do what He asks us to do, we are to ask and receive His wisdom and empowering so we can know all His Truth.

It grieves me that you are part of a Cult Linda, apart from their rejection of God’s Truth they can also show an unloving spirit, like other Cults do, we are to even Love our enemies but they reject their own family members if they don’t agree with their Cult propaganda.
I know this to be True from my Ministry with ex Cult members but also my Sister in Law was rejected by her Mormon family, including her Father and Mother when she became a Christian, it broke her heart but thankfully Jesus has healed her and she now walks in His assurance and Love, of course she is still sad about her families rejection of her and because of their hard hearts because of the deception that they believe in but she has God’s Peace now which they don’t have. God does not tell us Linda to agree to disagree like arguing it just leads to division, He tells us to resolve our disagreements and to correct error with His Truth , which your Church is not doing, they are in error as shown by the confirmation of the Scriptures that I shared with you.
It would be wise Linda if you took the time to read them so you can know God’s Truth instead of being deceived. As you choose not to do thIs I see no point in continuing to share with you as you just claim I’m denigrated your beliefs but as they are not based on God’s Truth they are in fact doing this to Him.

Yes so True ropheka and when Christians and those who haven’t yet committed realize just how great a Friend Jesus is and how much our Abba Father Loves us, they will Trust and Depend on Him without reservation in their hearts, meaning an unstated doubt that prevents them from accepting His Lordship wholeheartedly because of fear.
