“Are you a Nobody?”

A Nobody

Recently someone called me a Nobody, it didn’t concern me too much at the time, I know Jesus didn’t die for Nobody so I must be a Somebody, I also learnt a long time ago that name calling shows Childishness and it’s their lack not ours.

But a few days later I found a missing Desk Poster and decided perhaps being a Nobody was not so bad after all, it said….

 “If Nobody’s Perfect……. I Must be Nobody!”

As they say … “Many things said in jest are often True”

I laughed and was thankful that I was called a Nobody, I’m Perfect! well at least I’m aiming for it!

Aiming for it! Yes Seriously, we are to aim to be perfected in Love as the Scripture below confirms. This is not Worldly perfection that we can never obtain as it keeps changing according to Carnal values but Godly Perfection, putting our Carnal flesh to death by The Spirit as we choose to walk in Love and Righteousness with His empowering.

Scriptures
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore Perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is Perfect.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto Perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God.

2 Corinthians 7: 1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting Holiness in the fear of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man/woman of God may be Perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made Perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this World. There is no fear in Love; but Perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.

James 1:3-5- 5 But let patience have her Perfect work, that ye may be Perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him/her ask of God, that giveth to all men/woman liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him/her. But let him/her ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he/she that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man/woman think that he/she shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man/woman is unstable in all his/her ways.

2Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be Perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in Peace; and the God of Love and Peace shall be with you.

It never ceases to amaze me that God covers us with the perfection of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. There are so many things I am looking forward to in heaven. One of them is the ability to NEVER SIN again, “perfection!”

    • Why are you waiting till you go to Heaven Debbie so you don’t sin? this is not what the Scriptures tell us. If your really interested in knowing the Truth instead of believing error and also so you can Mature in your Faith, than I will be willing to spend time with you and share more of the confirmation we have in the Scriptures that we do not continue to sin when we are Born Again of God’s seed, we are to aim for Perfection in Love as the Scriptures confirm.

No Temptation to sin will be greater than we can bear.

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been Born of God.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man/woman deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

    • Yes very True Peter, your understanding of God’s Truth is very refreshing, to walk in Holiness is to walk in Love, God’s Love cannot do evil, He is Love and when we walk in The Spirit we too are Love and can do no evil.

I’m looking forward to your next message Peter, I’m always uplifted by your Integrity and Love for The Lord.

Yes Anne the key to righteous living is as James says in chap 1 “Now if any of you lacks wisdom , he should ask God ,who gives to all generously and without criticising, and it will be given to him “. Holmans . Of course our goal in life, is to live a life that is pleasing to Him , wisdom is a key to that .

  5. It is not what people think or say about us that matters, but what God’s word says and how we believe it and apply it to our lives.
All things work together for the good of them that love God, even the seemingly depressing comments.
    Lovely post, Grannie Annie.

      • In response to your link Son, we need to first put our Carnal flesh to death and aim to be perfected in Love which is by the empowering of The Holy Spirit as we choose to walk in His Fruit, No temptation will be greater than we can bear.

We are not just zapped Son, we are to work out our Salvation not meaning work for it, in other words as the Scriptures in my Post confirm, we choose to walk in Holiness and than we can walk in Holiness by the empowering of The Holy Spirit, God never takes away our free will but our will is to do God’s will when we are in Christ Jesus.

        • In the flesh, it is impossible to attain perfection. That is why, without faith, no man can please God.
          What we believe is true.
With God all things are possible. Therefore, with God, perfection is possible, only if we believe.
We often make declarations of faith and live each moment by faith, being true to our convictions and ideals.
By doing so consistently, we attain a more precise level of our desired operation.
With God, we can indeed do all things! We can’t keep the Holy Spirit out of this.
There can’t be perfection without love. Love is the foundation for perfection because it is selfless and keeps no record of wrong.
In relationships, love only wants the best, selflessly. Wrong can’t be found in love, except it is misunderstood, due to difference in paradigms.
I hope I expressed myself well enough to be understood? Perfection is a mindset, not necessarily a pattern. It is attainable in the Kingdom of God, which is wherever God reigns. It can be so in our very hearts, if we enthrone God.
          Best regards to Ron.

    • Yes I agree Son but God does not motivate others to be rude to us to teach us something, He hates evil but yes as you said He works everything together for good because we Love Him and because we do, we obey Him and put Him and others first.

As for other peoples rudeness to us, they are showing their True colours everything we do is motivated by our heart focus, sadly they are showing theirs is worldly.

      • When people are rude to me, I tell myself that they may just be being sincere about their perspective of me. I neither judge them nor condemn them, but rather I seek to work on any appearance that reduces the glory I radiate that should point to God.
Jesus, on the cross, despite His sufferings, said; “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.
We must sometimes be conscious of the fact that ignorance can make people say or do things that could hurt.
I don’t encourage rudeness or derogatory words, but I never react to them with hurt or discomfort, because I know better.
“I am who God says I am”.
You are on point Grannie Annie!

        • We do not have to accept peoples rudeness Son or their unkind valuation of us, what does not come from Faith which is all about Love is sin and they show by their words and actions they are sinning.

Jesus called the Pharisees a brood of Vipers, He knew their hearts but He Loved them as we can see by what he said to them later but He still knew they would not repent and where their eternal destiny was, we don’t know this about others but we can see by their unloving words and actions that they are not walking in The Spirit, Jesus is not in them..

Forgiving sin is different from excusing it as OK nobody can receive God’s forgiveness or anyone elses until they say they are sorry even though God has forgiven them in Christ Jesus and still Loves them but He hates the evil they do, it separates them from Him.

When someone puts others down and there is no evidence to support their claims, it shows they are lacking in Love, it is slander or critically gossiping and this is evil like all sin is, what they are doing to others they are doing to Jesus.

When people rubbish me on the Blogs, meaning they slander me behind my back, ignore me, delete my comments, block me etc because I do not accept the error they teach and I correct it with the confirmation of Scripture, which they can’t do to support their error, they are than rude and seek to justify being so by putting me down as a person of worth.

We do not have to accept the evil anyone does Son as OK, if they are claiming to be Christians, we are to rebuke them, not just look the other way, or Satan will have a foothold in their lives.

At this time there is someone who needs to be rebuked for their unloving gossip and slander to others about me, so I’m praying for the opportunity to do so but also that they come to their senses and repent of the evil they are doing because one sin leads to other sins.

          Blessings – Grannie Annie

      • Grannie Annie, You are right on point as always.
We should not accept people’s rudeness as being right. I personally choose not to react, but rather to respond in the most productive way. Very often, I would not show any hurt, because I never really allow people’s opinions move my emotions. Next, I consider whatever it is that has been said, and check if I have exhibited any characteristics that could have prompted such a comment or perspective.
If there is nothing of such, I would proceed to make my response, if necessary. I never take my opinion as the correct one, I only express it as my opinion and allow it to either be accepted or rejected, without imposing it.
Like I pointed out before, Jesus made a prayer and said; “Father forgive them for they know not what they do”.
People could either act out of ignorance or out of outright disobedience.
It is not my obligation to accuse, justify or condemn.
My obligation is to love and to be myself. Because I happen to perceive myself as a teacher, I may go ahead and tactfully teach these culprits, without judging or bearing grudges.
Democracy encourages freedom of expression. I wouldn’t allow expressions of other people change who I am or determine my reaction.
I try to be conscious about manifesting who I am, no matter the occasion.
Evil is evil and should not be encouraged. Yet, two wrongs can never make a right. If I have to yell or fight to prove a point, what good is it to me? Am I a fighter? Foxes would always be foxes and brood of vipers will always be brood of vipers. I would not adapt their own characteristics to convince them. I will be myself and pass across my message my own way.
I have seen people interpret the same scripture differently. I will not fight them, neither will I accuse them of being evil. I will only do my own bit of teaching it the way God says it and allow the Holy Spirit to interpret it best to them.
Afterall, my own understanding of the scriptures come from the Spirit. Why should I judge their flesh or their understanding? Ignorance can actually do as much harm as wickedness, even though it may spring from innocense.
        God help us!

        • We need to realize Son that it is not us who is judging others to be in error or sinning, it is God through the confirmation of Scripture.

The Holy Spirit does not say one thing to one person and something different to someone else when it contradicts although He may share with you something you can share with others or they with you but it will always be confirmed in Scripture.

As I shared before Son, Forgiving sin is different from excusing sin as OK, God never does this and nobody can receive His forgiveness or anyone elses until they say they are sorry even though God has forgiven them in Christ Jesus and still Loves them but He hates the evil they do, it separates them from Him.

We are not being Loving when we look the other way or ignore sin when others who claim to be Christians continue to sin or Teach error, God tells us to rebuke them and correct their error as we see confirmed in the Scripture below, with Blogging it is even more important to do so because others are being influenced by their wrong teaching and will also teach their error to others.

Titus 2:14-15 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

          2 Timothy 4 : 2-3 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

We remember Son not just Christians Blog or have Websites, create e-mails or Power points and also use YouTube etc, so do Atheists, Cults, Wolves, False Teaches and deceived and Childish Christians, which is why there is so much confusion today, even well known Evangelists and Teaches of Theology get it wrong when they are Trusting in their own understanding instead of Jesus to Teach and lead them into all Truth.

          Blessings – Anne.

We all have our own unique ways of analysing situations and profering solutions.
Just as there are various giftings, our approach to addressing issues may differ.
The important thing is that we fulfil purpose, which is God’s desire as declared in His word.
Reconciling men to God also entails that we turn them out of their error.
We are tools in God’s hands and must bend to His will.
It is in doing it the master’s way that we are guaranteed of both results and rewards.
Lovely quotations to butress your point.

It’s not what we think that is important unless we agree with God, it is what He tells us that is of absolute importance and which we are to obey, not because we have to but because we want to which shows our Heart focus.

              • I love that line; “not because we have to but because we want to”.
God does not compel us. He leaves us with options and advices us on the best choice.
He watches our hearts and expects us to aim at perfection.
His will is sovereign and aligning to it is the key to receiving the desires of our hearts.
Whatever we ask according to His will, believing that it has been done for us, is done.
By His enablement, our lights can so shine before men that through our good works, they will glorify our heavenly father.
Welldone, Grannie. You always make me proud.

    • Yes I agree Caleb, sometimes it does help, there is an old saying … “Sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me” but names can hurt us if we take them to heart but what I consider worse than childish name calling, although both show lack of Love, is rubbishing others behind their back, if I’m upset about something that someone has done to me, they will know it and you can be sure they won’t her it from others first.

I have been out most of the week Caleb having Tests and waiting to have them, the Doctor said today he is amazed at how good my Kidneys are with having been on a toxic drug for 25 years because of a serious skin condition, Wow what next! thanks for praying for both of us. Ron is often fatigued now with having Chemo for the Cancer but the pain is less, he doesn’t complain but I know it is hard for him, he has always been very active.

Thanks Caleb for visiting and sharing, I’m hoping to catch up in the next few days so will visit you too.

Jesus called the Pharisees a brood of Vipers and for sure they didn’t thank Him but he knew their hearts so there was no doubt about what He said and their actions showed their heart focus towards others anyway.

We don’t know peoples hearts but we can see by their actions and because we know the Scriptures are 100% True, when we share them we don’t have to have any doubts doing so, even if they upset others who are in error, after all they wouldn’t be upset if they were doing the right thing.

Thanks again Jalal, I have been out most of the week but will be seeking to catch up over the next few days , so I will see you on your Blog, I noticed you have Posted again, thank you for always taking the time to respond to comments on your Posts, I appreciate it and I’m sure others do too.
