As Cyclone Marcia lashes Queensland many are without Power, so I thought I would let you know while I’m still able to, that I may not be in contact again until the affects of the Cyclone are over.
Both the front and back yards are flooded and so are the side yards, as I look out the office window the water is rising about an inch an hour.
Ron is at his Daughters place about 15 minutes away but they are flooded in too and are now sandbagging, we have been warned not to leave our homes or to drive, so Ron can’t help me if needed for evacuation. I have only just now been able to talk to him on the Phone, we couldn’t even connect by mobile.
Both Monty and Moe-Joe are very frightened and won’t leave my side, I put on some Christian Music and they are much calmer now, it always quietens them at night too before sleep time.
I also feel calm but I’m still unsure of what to do if the water keeps rising as it is already coming in under the front and back door, I only have my Mobility Scooter, last time we were advised we would be airlifted if needed, I’m waiting to hear. I would very much appreciate your Prayers as would all of Queensland.

Thank you for your Faithfulness Debbie to Pray and yes Isaiah 43:1-3 is indeed just the Scripture to keep in our hearts as a constant reminder of God’s Love and Faithfulness.
It’s hard to believe but a Blogger said recently that it was not in Scripture that God will never give us more than we can handle and than went on to say he had been given much more than he could handle.
It’s True those exact words are not in Scripture but the Truth of them is very much in God’s inspired words which are also for us today, as we see in Isaiah 43 and a lot of other Scriptures, sad that some are so Spiritually blind because they Trust in their own fleshy understanding or others instead of God’s.

As a follower of Christ , He is who we are supped to lean on..It is really not fair to others if we expect them to give us what only God can give us. We are just setting ourselves up for hurt and failure when we depend on anyone else but Jesus.

I agree Debbie but I also remember that God said to Adam when they were in close fellowship that it was not good for him to be alone and we too need the Body of Christ, we are to help carry each others burdens , to cry and rejoice with each other, we also have different giftings to build up the Body but yes our focus has to be Jesus first, He will lead us into all Truth so we can help others but only by what is confirmed in Scripture, we encourage others to Trust in Jesus, not ourselves.

Oh, I do not disagree with you on this. But there are some things only the Father can give us, some things from the Holy spirit on He can give and it is not fair to expect any human to fill the needs only He was designed to fullfill.

Yes I agree Debbie, some don’t even understand that Jesus not a man or woman leads us into all Truth having asked for and received His wisdom and the empowering of The Holy Spirit, those with the gift of Teaching share God’s Truth not what they think and feel when not confirmed in Scripture, if they do they are not anointed, the Scriptures are complete, we don’t add or take away from them.

Thank you David very much, we appreciate your concern and prayers for us. It seems all of Queensland is being deluged with torrential rain and at times strong winds but more so in some areas.
Not sure why we still have Power, last time we lost it as many others have now but I’m very thankful it’s available and so is Ron at his daughters place.

The rain eased up during the night but started again about an hour ago and is increasing but I still have power and so does Ron, at his daughters place, he was going to come and take me to the Doctors today, he has not been able to drive because of the force of the rain and we were warned not to but now they are flooded in so it won’t be possible either. Ron has been remarkably well even with the Chemo, thanks again for your Prayers.

Thank you Diane, it hasn’t rained for an hour and I can hear the birds singing, I will put some seed out for them, the ground is still covered with water but it is soaking in and the rest is flowing into the drain out the front but Ron said they have warned more heavy rain is on the way tomorrow.
Thank you for your prayers Diane , just knowing people are praying, helps greatly, I still feel calm and know The Lord is not far but being part of the Body of Christ is a wonderful reality that He gives us, so we are able to support each other when needed..

Thank you Karina, I value your prayers, the rain is still constant but not as heavy and as you can see I still have power, there are a lot of others that don’t. I have everything I need in the way of food and necessities but hopefully the danger of our area being fully flooded because of the rising rivers will soon pass.

Thank you Barb your prayers are appreciated, the rain is still constant stopping only for a short time but I still have power which is better than some others. The rivers are very high and some roads are flooded but I’m not going out anyway, I have everything I need and enough food to last a few weeks, hopefully though it will pass soon and things will be back to normal.
