Who do we Believe…..

Are we like a wave of the Sea, driven with the wind and tossed, doubting and unstable or do we have full assurance.

James 1:5-6 For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Ephesians 4:13-15 Till we all come in the Unity of the Faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a Perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ, that we henceforth be no more Children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in Love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head, even Christ (KJV)

Scripture tells us to earnestly seek after God’s wisdom because it is the principle thing in our understanding of His inspired words, these are His thoughts, His convictions, His guidelines, His Eternal Truth, we cannot know them in the Carnal flesh, by worldly wisdom or fleshy reasoning and logic, they are found only in Jesus Christ, He is the Key to all Truth, without them we remain  Childish, Confused or Deceived by Cults and Carnal Man, He tells us to Seek, Ask, Knock and believe we have received.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Luke 11:13 …….. how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

Who do we believe and whose wisdom do we seek, is it the worlds or Gods, do we Trust in The Holy Spirits empowering or our own ability. Are we confident of who we are and what we are in Christ Jesus. We are not Born with God’s wisdom, we need to ask for it and believe we have received it and the empowering of The Holy Spirit,  we will than be rich in understanding His Truth in all things?

Proverbs 10:20-22 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth. The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.

Regardless of how often we have read or been told something whether that be in Church, through Books, in Poems and Stories, on the Internet or by those who have Blogs or even well known Evangelists and Preachers, unless it is confirmed in Scripture as God’s Truth it is wrong. What we need to remember is that Cult members and  Childish, Confused or Deceived Christians and Carnal Man, write Poems and messages too and have done for years and that is why so many are in error today and I was too for many years until I asked and received   God’s wisdom and empowering by The Holy Spirit, we need to do this or we will not be able to discern if  what we read or hear is in error.

God tells us that He does not afflict us or cause us grief ……

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of men.

God tells us we are His redeemed Children and His plans for us are good,

When we are disciplined, we are reaping the evil we sow until we come to our senses. We ourselves do not plan for or willingly allow those we Love to suffer or do we put them to hard testing to prove themselves ….

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

We are also put to the test by Satan who seeks to prove his claim on us like he did with Job, accidents happen  and others hurt us too, we live in a fallen World but we don’t walk alone in Christ Jesus.

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth Temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that Love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man… But every man is Tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

Psalm 107: 8 – 9 Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the Children of men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

James 117 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

John 10:7-11 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good Shepherd: the good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Another very misunderstood Truth is in regard to sin…

God said that in Christ Jesus we are to reckon we are dead to sin…..

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Reckon means…

Expect to be true; believe to be True.

Be confident about something.

Have faith or confidence in it’s Truth.

Jesus confirmed Himself that we do not go on sinning and so do the Scriptures when read in context and with His understanding.

 He said He has set us free from the Slavery of sin…

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed.

Romans 6:18-20 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

God said when we are Born Again we can’t sin because we have His seed not Adams…

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been Born of God.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

God said we will be like Jesus in this world and He was without sin…

1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

God said we will be righteousness in our actions like Jesus is…..

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him neither known Him. Little children, let no man/woman deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

God said we are dead to sin…..

Romans 6 : 1 – 2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid, How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?

God said we are to obey Him and that when we are Perfected in His Love we will walk as Jesus walked, not sometimes but all the time…..

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know Him and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God perfected hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.

God tells us to put our Carnal  flesh that causes us to sin to death….

Romans 8 :12-15 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. or if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Colossians 3:4-6 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

Galatians 24 -26 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Romans 8:1-4 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

God said No Temptation will be greater than we can bear…..

1 Corinthians 10 :13 There hath no Temptation taken you but such as is common to man but God is faithful who will not suffer you to be Tempted above that ye are able but will with the Temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it.

We need to remember as we think in our hearts our actions will follow this is why God tells us not to Trust in our own fleshy or worldly understanding.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Do we have God’s wisdom or do we Trust in man’s understanding,  we need to do as Jesus asks us to do which is Seek, Ask and Knock and then the door will be opened, have we done this, only we can answer that question, God knows our heart, He knows if we are His but also if we are believing error, He longs that we know we have been set free from the slavery of sin.

Titus 2:13-15 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all Authority. Let no man despise thee.

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried but the wicked shall do wickedly and none of the wicked shall understand but the wise shall understand.
