HELP! 3rd Update on God’s Gateway……

Gateway 1Wow no wonder I’m Computer illiterate, there is so much confusion out there concerning the Internet and it’s tools, even with the professionals,  how can I know what is Truth or error when I’m told different things and they really all believe they are right but how can they all be when what they are saying  is different???

After once again sharing with you  in my 2nd update (see below) that I had been assured all was well by my previous Provider, this morning after talking to Wayne again who is a very competent Computer Technician, I’m back to where I started, he advised me that what I had been told by my previous Provider was impossible, yes my billing account might be closed but I’m still logged into their Internet service or I could not access the Internet with their Modem. I was on the phone most of yesterday trying to sort this mess out so now all I can say is ……..

Help, what do I do now ! just accept the Modem  as God’s Gateway and be thankful that I can keep in contact with all of you or do I seek further to have the Issue resolved? Is there any Scripture reference in regards to Modems ? if you know one please share it with me ….. Wait! I found it, Don’t worry God knows everything and He will lead us  into all Truth!

Matthew 10:26-28 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops KJV  ( perhaps our Computers?)

Blessings – Anne

2nd Update…..

ModemAfter sharing with you all about my Modem earlier to day, I talked to my previous Provider, they assured my that my Account was closed and advised me that sometimes but not often, Modems will connect with a new Provider, they also told me to keep the old Modem as a back up in case it is needed and the Provider I have now agreed too.

God’s provision and Gateways are unlimited , how very blessed we all are to have Him as our Loving Abba Father.

First Update…..

Modem

After sharing with you all about my crashed Modem (see below) and how no one knew how I was able to Post with an old Modem from a previous Provider, Wayne my Computer Technician worked it out and yes as he said in was a chance in a million of my being able to connect and Post.

Wayne said it seems that my previous Provider  did not cancel my Account and so it is still active,  this means I have Web access and my Supplier who I have now have gives me email access.

I  give heartfelt thanks for  the Gateway God provided and feel very blessed as  I was able to reassure a friend in need and also correct someone who is in great Theological error and to let you all  know too why I won’t be Blogging till I receive my new Modem,  I will now contact the Provider and tell them of their oversight.

Gateway 1So till I’m in contact with you all again, keep looking for God’s Gateways when you feel like giving up!

Original Post …..

ModemWith being Computer illiterate I would really appreciate if  someone can help me understand how I’m Posting today, it’s impossible as told to me by my Internet Supplier the TIO and also Wayne my Computer Technician.

My Modem died and  when I phoned my Provider they asked me for a new Password and than we reset the Modem, taking it back to factory settings first and disconnecting the wireless again but it still would not work, they told me they would send me a new Modem in 3 to 7 working days, they advised it would have to be reset with my new password before I could use it.

I thought of Blogging on a Computer at the Library as I have done before but decided to just wait although I did pray that the new Modem would come within a few days, I felt at peace although still a bit disappointed I couldn’t keep in touch with you and respond to your comments and Posts.

Later as I was sorting through some old Computer accessories I  found an old Modem I had used with another Provider, it was about 2 years old, I put it aside and finished my work.

I decided to do some filing since I now had plenty of time but I noticed the old modem and wondered if the lights would come on, they not only came on but I was able to download all my notifications from WordPress and e-mails from friends.

I phoned my Provider but they couldn’t explain how I could use it without it being reset and because it was also locked, nor could the TIO whom I phoned thinking my security was at risk or Wayne my Computer Technician, but even if you are able to explain how I’m able to Post this,  it still looks like once again God has provided a Gateway so we can keep in touch, which I will be doing later today seeking to catch up with your Posts and comments.

  1. I’m even worse with computer my friend. My wife does all the cable tv and computer reset cause it’ll drive me crazy! It’s funny cause I’m the one blogging, right? But God balance everything, he makes sure one partner be the strength of the other’s weakness. God bless.

    • Thank you for sharing Island Traveler, I post all Ron’s comments and I use to also Post his messages when he was writing for his Corner on our Blog, he knows even less about Computers than me and also he does not have much free time. Most of my friends are the same as me in understanding Computers and they know nothing about Blogging, their interests are mostly different to mine but we agree on what’s important.

I am still amazed how God provided this Gateway when needed, which I’m very thankful for but I have my new Modem now, so all is back to normal.

Thanks again – Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

Yes Anne sometimes getting back to the real professional , is where you rely on his knowledge to guide you through. Wayne is one of the best , so you cant go wrong seeing him.. So thinking of that ,reading the bible is getting the best guide ,as you get it direct from the a Author Himself , how good is that ! ?

    • It always amazes me Love how we use many of the same expressions in writing, although our punctuation is very different, perhaps it is because we have been Married for nearly 33 years or maybe because I use to read and hear your Sermons when you were in Ministry in Sydney.

I agree Wayne can be Trusted and as you wisely always say Ron: If it works don’t fix it! so I will take your advice and of course God’s as you shared about too, I won’t worry unless there is something to worry about, OK! OK! I won’t worry full stop!

Anne, I know how frustrating computer problems can be. And I agree, it seems that every person you ask has a different solution. Hope you get everything fixed soon. David

    • Very True David as we have both experienced with Technology today, Ron often says ….. if it works don’t fix it and this strange Modem does work very well but whats more important is that God tells us not too worry about anything.

I think I mentioned to you once before David that Ron use to say when I first met him that I would worry if I had nothing to worry about, it was a great weakness I had, although I do now depend on God and have no doubt He works out everything for good in our lives, that little worry button does get pushed at times especially when I’m confronted with others confusion and contradictory responses. I was the same with Scripture until I asked for God’s wisdom through the empowering of The Holy Spirit.

Thank you once again David for caring, I would like to share with you the first Song that touched my heart as a Christian, I think you will appreciate the profound Truth in the words shared, hopefully the link will work, I’m planing to use it on a Post in the near future.

Thank you again David and Christian Love Always from both of us – Anne
