My Battle with Confusion…..

I would like to share with you today the battle I had with confusion, I found that  even after coming to True heart repentance, I was still confused and unsure  and so had doubts but God gave me the Victory over these, how He did this  and why I was so confused is what I would like to share with you.

My confusion  was  not in regards to Technology, I’m still working on that or what components make up a Car engine, although I do know it needs petrol or gas to make the wheels go around and even Footy has always been a mystery to me, how can one little ball cause so much emotion! Oh well perhaps one day they will all make sense to me.

No my confusion was in knowing and understanding God’s Truth, it is a puzzle that many experience and also have trouble like me in finding the right direction  and yes they express the same doubts I had too.

If we do experience negative emotions, we don’t pretend we haven’t got them and put on a Happy face to please others or they may lead to anxiety, fear, depression or sin. Emotions are God given, they are not sin only the ones that come from sin.

My confusion was because of all the conflicting teaching in the Churches and by Theologians and Evangelists even those who had a high profile, it was a puzzle because  they all claimed what they believed was True but what some taught was different, which means some of them were trusting in their own worldly understanding or what they had been taught instead of God’s Truth.

2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed as unto a Light that shineth in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts. Knowing this first that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man but Holy Men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.(KJV) (1Corinthians2:9-16 KJV)

I knew  that The Holy Spirit does not say one thing to one person and something different to someone else when it contradicts, although He may show us something that we can share with others or they with us but it will always be confirmed in Scripture or by Creation but with proven facts, not by unproven Theories or guess work.

“Luke 11:13 … How much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

Not all were in error in everything they taught and God tells us He can even use the foolishness of Preaching through His inspired words being shared as The Holy Spirit gives understanding. They also said they agreed on the basics and what was important but if they did this, wouldn’t they  still be in fellowship, united in God’s Truth, not just in somethings but in everything they feel is important.

When we are in the Body of Christ we are not to agree to disagree but to take our differences to God and He will show us who is in error because we are to have the same focus and to be of one mind and purpose, this is needed for us to Love in Unity. So it also confused me greatly because how could they all have the mind of Christ as they claimed and yet also be in conflict which was shown by their division, our God is a God of Unity and Truth.Philippians 3:13-15 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore as many as be perfect be thus minded and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded God shall reveal even this unto you.

Paul warned against division in the Church (1Corinthians1) we are to follow Jesus’ teaching not Mans, unless what they are Teaching is God’s Truth and even if it is different to what we have been taught before or have believed to be True (see link below)  if it is confirmed as Truth than we to accept it with thankfulness.What we Believe – https://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2011/11/24/is-it-horse-or-a-frog/This is the same with anyone, Man or Woman who shares God’s Truth both in Church or in their daily walk with the Lord,  we are all one in Christ Jesus even if we have different God given roles in the Church, Men are always to be in Authority under Jesus who is The Head and Woman are to be their Helpmates, the same as in Marriage and neither of these roles are Superior or Inferior, they are just different.

I really don’t want anyone to Spiritually follow me just Jesus who is our only Spiritual Teacher, the same as our Abba Father is our only Spiritual Father.

Matthew 23:8-10 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi’ for One is your Teacher The Christ and you are all brethren. Do not call anyone on earth your Father for One is your Father He who is in Heaven. And do not be called Teachers for One is your Teacher The Christ.

As I shared before, I felt very unsure about what was Truth and so had unsettling doubts, I  tried to find the key that would solve the puzzle but none fitted. One day as I was reading Mark 9:24 in the Scriptures (see below) I was so excited because I knew it was the answer to my doubts, some Christians call this a Rhema Scripture, it comes from a Greek word that means God’s Truth has touched our heart and so like the father of the child, I asked Jesus to help my unbelief with great heart conviction that I needed His help.

Mark 9:23-24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.Luke 17:5 And the apostles said unto The Lord, Increase our Faith.

I continued to pray earnestly  for Jesus’ help in understanding His Truth in all things and He gave me another Rhema Scripture…..

James1:5-8 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be Perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack Wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. But let him ask in Faith nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

When we are empowered by The Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 2:9-16) we are lead by Jesus our Teacher into all Truth and this has been my experience many times, so instead of the Scriptures being like a Jigsaw Puzzle in my thinking, they are now becoming a Complete picture, I have no doubts that I have received God’s wisdom (see links below ) and that I’m increasing in knowledge and insight and will continue to do so as He perfects me into the image of Jesus.

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get Wisdom and with all thy getting get Understanding.

I asked in Faith knowing I was not born with God’s Wisdom and needed it with all my heart and to also be empowered by The Holy Spirit, the Scriptures tell us that when King Solomon asked for Wisdom it pleased God and He blessed him greatly.

Scripture  tell us to earnestly seek after Wisdom because it is the Principle thing in our understanding of God’s Inspired Words, these are His Thoughts, His Convictions, His Guidelines, His Eternal Truth, we cannot know them in the Carnal flesh, by Worldly wisdom or fleshy reasoning and logic, they are found only in Jesus Christ, He is The Key to put the puzzle together.

We are to aim to be Perfected in Love, putting our evil flesh to death or the killer weeds by The Spirit and in doing so we will have God’s seed or Nature not Adam’s and  we will walk in this life as He walked, in Love, Truth and Righteousness but until than we are covered by His Righteousness and accepted by God who knows us as His Redeemed Children and has from Eternity by His foreknowledge of our Heart repentance which shows we believe in Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and so He chose us as His own.

What Jesus has shared with me He has confirmed in His written word, yes as I said before I’m still learning but I know without a doubt what He has already shown me is His Truth and I don’t doubt it … Jesus tells us we don’t have because we don’t ask with Faith believing what He says He will do or we ask with the wrong motivation.  He knows our hearts and our needs and doesn’t encourage us to do evil by making  Material riches more important than Loving God and others, this is fleshy idolatry, that leads to selfishness and a worldly focus.

His words to us … Seek, Ask and Knock with the Trust and dependence of a young Child, are forever in my heart.
