We know there was a great World flood and it has been confirmed as True more than once by Archaeologists (see links below ) they have found evidence to support this Truth which we find in the Scriptures, yes Atheists and those deceived try to discredit their findings and this is the same as other Truths that only God could have known at the time they were recorded in the Bible. This message today is to explain why the flood was necessary and that it was not an act of revenge or punishment by God but was very needed for you and me.

Having been in a Ministry involving both Atheists and also Cults where you need to prove yourself as acceptable by agreeing with their rules and regulations. I soon realized it was a common assumption with Atheists, which they seek to prove and try to force on others, even though they claim not to believe in God and that we are suppose to have just invented Him in our delusion and that the Bible, was just written by men, they still say God deliberately afflicts us, that He is cruel and also seeks to teach and dominate us by force to make us puppets leaving us without free will but as we see in the Scriptures below this is just not True. But they say this because they are reading the Scriptures with fleshy eyes, they have no Light, they are in darkness.
I was also often challenged by people in Cults and still am today, some who doubt God is Love in all His ways towards us and believe He does evil to bring good out of it, which the Scriptures tell us is slander, but yes, He does work everything for good in our lives, even what Satan and others mean for evil.
Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of men.
This deception that God willingly afflicts us for our good which even some Christians believe, has caused many to blame God for what Satan and others do to us that causes us to suffer or because we live in a fallen world or because of our own sin. God does not hurt us willingly to teach or punish us, and He will not force us to Love and obey His will, but He does discipline His own, by letting us reap the evil we sow until we come to our senses like the Prodigal son and this is not pleasant, who enjoyed time out as a child. He also chastises and warns those who sin through the Scriptures and The Body of Christ.
So to explain why God needed to destroy the World by a flood killing many People and animals and later also Pagan Nations, let’s look at what He tells us in the Bible.
The Scriptures that speak about this time (see below) show us why it was an act of Compassion and Love which caused God to put an end to what was very evil in His eyes. He tells us that every thought of Mankind was evil and this is how it will also be in the End Times after the Rapture or First Sickle as it is called in Revelation. He also tells us, as a man/woman thinks in their heart their actions will follow and so by their example their Children will also accept evil as good and they will teach their Children the same and so many will continue to be afflicted by Abominations and suffer greatly as it was in Noah’s time, outwardly things may still appear to be normal but a fierce battle is raging in Heaven even now.
Genesis 6: 5-6 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth and it grieved Him in His heart.
Genesis 6: 12-13 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold I will destroy them with the earth.
God has always intervened when His little ones continue to suffer and the people in Noah’ time were sacrificing their Children alive to Pagan god’s and doing detestable things to them and to animals and each other and the polluted Children that survived did the same and we see this sadly by the Pagan Nations who came later and did the same things and God knew there would be no change, which was why He also destroyed with Sulfur, Sodom and Gomorrah and because of the horror of Adolph Hitler’s Nazi regime in Germany, He sent Nations to stop the untold evil there too.
Some ask; “If God knew these things would happen, why did He create man, or why did He save Noah and his family.” He did so because He is Love and Love never gives up, it continues to Hope and He knew from Eternity that you and I would Love Him with all our heart and so the gain outweighed the lose, to Him our friendship was worth all His heartbreak, we are His priceless Treasure and so He sent Jesus to Redeem us, to pay the cost when man would not listen and Jesus willingly suffered for us…How great is God’s Love!
But we can see from the practices of the people, why it was so necessary for Him to end their lives by the great flood and why He also sent His people later to put an end to the evil of the Pagan Nations around them, so they could not continue to pollute others with their evil practices and this was why He also gave the Israelites guidelines to protect them and their Children against the evil that would result by accepting and practicing them.
Thankfully Children who do not understand good and evil go to be with God, they are never punished for the sins of their Parents, all the Children who died and did not know right from wrong were saved Eternally, as they are today. The Israelite’s Children were allowed to enter the Promised Land even though their adulterous Parents were not. God is not for evil or does He deliberately allow it, what some believe to be evil is not, it is Merciful and Compassionate and comes from God’s heart of Love. Yes evil does happen to us, this is why we Trust God to work it all out for good, even if those we Love hurt us and continue to hurt us, we know without doubt God won’t but we can’t Trust Him fully in the flesh either, only through The Holy Spirit who we ask for and receive like God’s wisdom.
So is it God’s will we suffer, the Scriptures say No! do we have to suffer to have compassion for others who do, No, genuine compassion comes from The empowering of The Holy Spirit, not the flesh, many become bitter and angry when they suffer and blame God, some even reject Him, or they seek revenge when others hurt them. Some judge those who suffer as deserving and those who show their emotion as being weak and not having faith but we remember Jesus cried and was known as a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief and yet He had deep inner Joy in knowing who He was and regardless of our circumstances we can too.
Those of us who suffer for doing good will be kept strong in our spirit and will be greatly rewarded.
Psalm 126:5-6 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
We also need to hold onto the Truth that God is not a Sadist or does He expect us to be Masochists, when He tells us to give thanks in all things, even when we suffer, it is not for what causes our suffering or hardship that we are giving thanks for but because we can be assured that He is with us as we go through them ( see below) and will work it out for good, this is why we give thanks which in turn gives us great inner Joy. But if we blame God for what we suffer we will live in fear and torment of what He will do to us even if sugar coated it is for our good.
Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
As we choose to walk in The Fruit of The Spirit (see below) we are empowered to do so and we than increase in these strengths and the evil of our fleshy mind and soul are put to death, because evil and good cannot Co-exist in Unity and God’s Love is the strongest power on this earth to demolish strongholds and so we patiently go through trouble and hardship knowing they will have an end.
Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
Now that we are in the end times and we can see once again the practices and customs of the Pagans and other unbelievers in our God of Creation, starting to have a great influence today, making it necessary for Jesus Christ to return and to separate His True followers from those who do evil before the end of this World as we know it comes. Satan seeks to hurt us which is the exact opposite of God’s plans for us. (see below ) Satan’s children or followers also seek to hurt, belittle, accuse, slander and deceive but God will keep us strong to the end and like Loving Parents with their young, He will be by our side to help us.
Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
We ask God for His empowering as King David did below and to help us make every thought captive to Christ, so our actions will follow, as often said ….What would Jesus do!
Psalm 51 (10 ) Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
I will share with you another time the Symbolism of the Ark but briefly now, we can be assured it is a promise that all in Christ Jesus will be saved, He is our Ark.
Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
To wait on The Lord , means also to Trust Him and depend on Him, to know His plans for us are very good, our tears are captured in the vessel of His heart and He will change them all to Joy. We are the Children of the Promise, Abraham’s Spiritual seed and we outnumber the Stars. Galatians 3:28-29

Anne: I did read through a few of your blog posts, as well as following the links you posted regarding archaeological evidence for a global flood. While the archaeological evidence you point to is indeed helpful in terms of establish the general, overall historical nature of the Old Testament, I found nothing that addresses the particular global nature of the flood that you appear to be arguing for. This does not rule out the likelihood that a local flood could indeed be world-wide in its extent. All of humanity then-known at the time, which is a Biblically acceptable way of interpreting these phrases, could have had a world-wide impact without necessarily requiring God to deluge every nook and cranny of the earth’s surface, particularly in view of Psalm 104:9, which specifically says that at Creation that God would NOT flood the entire planet with water again after the Creation event.
I am glad that you are calling us to consider the teaching of Scripture, so I would just urge you to read ALL of what Scripture has to say about the Flood and not cherry pick passages that only support one particular view of the Flood and its extent. As with the science issues, it would be important to make a distinction between making assertions and presenting evidence. Making assertions without clearly verifiable backing is not the same as being familiar with the large body of evidence. Sorry Clark but I do not argue about Man’s understanding, there is enough confirmation in the Scriptures to confirm what I shared, you are disagreeing with God not me.
I added the Links for those who feel they need other verification but I don’t, I Trust that God knows His Truth and it is recorded in the Bible as he tells us it is, so I don’t add to it or take away from it.

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work… Do we consider our fleshy wisdom to be True or what God tells us? if we reject God’s Truth it will lead to confusion and strife.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure ….God’s wisdom is not polluted with fleshy understanding.
Then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated …God’s wisdom when accepted brings Peace, it is gentle to the soul, and easy to obtain there are no fleshy restraints.
Full of mercy and good fruits …God’s wisdom is Compassionate and Loving and is shown in actions and words reflecting the fruit of the Spirit.
Without partiality, and without hypocrisy… God’s wisdom stands up for The Truth regardless of personal cost and does not show favouritism or does it say one thing and do another.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. God’s wisdom is righteous in all it proclaims which brings peace to them who also walk in God’s wisdom and Truth.

We know Clark that Scripture confirms itself as I’m sure you would agree.
Psalm 104:9 is not talking about the Storm water that God sent to flood the whole earth, it’s the water that He covered the earth with, which was the foundation of the deep, He sent it to places as we see today and yes and it remained in the places where He put it and never covered the earth again as it did in Creation.
As confirmed in Scripture God did destroy or HURT (Strong’s – Hebrew)the Face of all the earth as it was known at that time. After the flood Mankind needed to eat meat as the earth could no longer sustain life just with vegetation but without a world wide flood man would have continued to do total evil and so destroy themselves and you and I would not be alive today… Do you know about the Giants Clark that were living at that time and where they were living ? they also did not survive.

As you probably know Clark, soon the World as we know it today will end again and in Heaven we will have no memory of it. Jesus said about our times, it will be like it was in the times of Noah and yes today we see evil all around us and what God calls evil is accepted by many and what He calls good is rejected by them and some blame God for the evil and even some Christians accuse Him of causing them to suffer when He doesn’t.

Jesus is indeed our Ark and our salvation. People have so many wrong fears and miss the scariest of all, being away from Jesus and his grace. With God’s love and light, there is nothing we should be scared of. Thanks and God bless.

At no time Vela have I said it is what I think, although I do agree with God, as confirmed in His inspired written word by the empowering of the Holy Spirit or have I said that what I have shared is what I have read in someone’s book or on a Blog or from footnotes, although I may be in agreement with them. Contention or being conscientious means, using man’s understanding to resolve differences instead of God’s Truth which we are to stand up for and also correct error with.
I asked for God’s wisdom and The Holy Spirit and I received both, I’m still learning but Jesus is leading me into all Truth and if I was to doubt that He is, I would be unstable and it would also mean I was calling Him a liar and claiming that He does not keep His promises, and those who say I don’t have God’s wisdom too, are saying they can’t have it either by asking and receiving from Him.
Cults and those with the same focus, when they can’t explain their errors abuse or ignore those who don’t agree with them. I found this to be True too with the Ministry outreach where I met you, they slandered me behind my back which I was told by someone in Authority on their Blog and I still have her e-mail, sadly she was agreeing with them and condoning their actions, she also told me that I was a Tool of Satan. Why did they abuse me, because like I did with you, I shared God’s Truth with them and this is what I have done with the many others and will continue to do as an Ordained Evangelist under God’s Authority. Yes others have abused me too or made fun of me and in the future, others will probably do the same… But God’s Truth, is all about Love, and it is very powerful, it sets us free so we can Love, God always has the Victory.
Do I hold any malaise against anyone, No I have forgiven them, If they were in urgent need I would help them but they can’t accept my forgiveness unless they repent and say sorry and this is the same with God and us , we must repent from the heart, choose to turn away from evil and seek to do good by the empowering of The Holy Spirit and by doing so we put our flesh to death that causes us to sin.
Some claim, if we forgive, we forget, the Scriptures show the opposite, as we can see with Judas, read what Jesus said about him and it is recorded for all of us to read today and also what Paul said about the Childish Christians and others who chose to argue and bicker in relation to man’s foolishness instead of sharing God’s Truth, it won’t take you long to find others in Scripture too Velta, who although they forgave, still shared what others had done wrong but in the open not behind their backs and they had confirmation they were wrong, it was not just what they thought, we are to warn about those who teach error.
The Holy Spirit Velta does not say one thing to one person and something different to another when they contradict, although He may give you something to share with me and I with you but it will always be confirmed in Scripture, even if it is not in agreement with what others claim with their own or others, fleshy understanding, wisdom, logic and reasoning.

I agree we are not to argue Velta and there is no need to if our confirmation comes from God’s Truth not man’s understanding. He also would not tell us to resolve our differences if it was not important for us to do so.
The reason we have so many different Denominations, Home Churches, Cults is because people never resolved their differences and this was something Paul warned against, we are not to listen to man’s understanding but to God’s Truth.
When those who profess to have Jesus as Lord don’t agree, they then cause others to doubt God’s Truth and some that are confused like I was by all the different teachings, but thankfully I asked and received God’s wisdom, often give up and stop going to Church believing it’s all too hard or worse make-believe, they are then in danger of being deceived by a Cult.
I’ve talked to these people and I understand their frustration, they want to believe but don’t know what is Truth , they are not taught to ask for God’s wisdom or even to put their flesh to death and how to do this.
So sorry Velta it is important that we agree on all God’s Truth because it is all about redemption in Christ Jesus, to continue to disagree about the inspired word of God, causes it to be watered down
Not sure why you said I don’t agree with you about Noah, if you had read my Post and comment, you would have seen I do and sadly that is the problem with many they don’t read the Scriptures either or not with the empowering of The Holy Spirit (1Corinthians2:9-16) it’s Jesus who leads us into all Truth instead they claim what others have taught them is right and so the deception begins again and continues to be passed on.
But of course we also have those who agree with everyone even though what they Teach is in opposition, sadly they are still walking in darkness too.
Anything Velta that you were taught by the J.W that is in opposition to God’s Truth, I can explain why it is, am I a know it all , No God is! and He tells us to search, ask and knock and the door will be opened , some don’t even know how it is opened!

I believe there was a world-wide flood. I believe what the scriptures say about it. I believe that everything that was written in Genesis about the pre-flood era is true. I believe that Noah was found righteous in God’s eyes and he and his family survived in an ark built to the specifications that God gave him.

When I was still a Jehovah’s Witness over 30 years ago, I came across the scripture in
Luke 11:13: ” If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
From that time on I have relied on Holy Spirit to guide me. I pray each day that what I learn and what I say be guided by Him. Since I invited Holy Spirit into my heart, I began to see that the Watchtower was a lie. I do not believe what they teach! My souce of truth is Jesus! The reason we have so many different Denominations, Home Churches, Cults is because people never resolved their differences and this was something Paul warned against, we are not to listen to man’s understanding but to God’s Truth.

When those who profess to have Jesus as Lord don’t agree, they then cause others to doubt God’s Truth and some that are confused like I was by all the different teachings, but thankfully I asked and received God’s wisdom, often give up and stop going to Church believing it’s all too hard or worse make-believe, they are then in danger of being deceived by a Cult.
Having been in a religion with cultish ways, I am not deceived by listening to any man! I have not been confused by man since I asked Jesus to give me His understanding and wisdom.
I’ve talked to these people and I understand their frustration , they want to believe but don’t know what is Truth , they are not taught to ask for God’s wisdom or even to put their flesh to death and how to do this.

I agree. I do not worship angels, but in the book of Job, the angels are also called “sons of God”.

I think the key to this scripture is: No one KEEPS ON SINNING or CONTINUES TO SIN. We all fall short of the righteousness of God. Sin means “missing the mark”. How can anyone live a perfect life in a human body. Paul said even he failed.

I have agreed with you Velta both times about Noah, you must have missed it.
In Romans 7 Paul was battling with his flesh which we all do and he called himself wretched but in Romans 8 and 6, Galatians 5 and other Scriptures, he tells us how to put our flesh to death.

I could not sleep tonight thinking about the pain I caused by my post. I loved your post on Noah and the flood and I did not mean to imply that I did not agree with you. Jesus said:at Matthew 24:37
“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man’. My comment was to encourage us all that this was one of the signs that God’s Kingdom was imminent. I am so sorry that it got blown out of proportion and that it brough up old hurts. I beg your forgiveness. I have nothing but respect for your knowledge and love of God.

Dear Velta, I’m deeply moved by your words, and yes I was greatly hurt, I Loved those men and woman and when I think about them even now, I realize I still do, the same as I now Love my Blogging friends including you but I also feel a great sorrow for what they didn’t understand remembering how much of a mess I got into myself through lack of wisdom and knowledge and so in my confusion I also shared error.
Thankfully God never stops Loving us and not one of us who are His will be lost even if we wander down the wrong road for awhile before we come to heart repentance and accept the free gift of Salvation in Christ Jesus and than also show by our words and actions that we have by choosing to put our flesh to death by the Spirit.
Do you know Velta who God motivated to help me at the time that I was hurt so I could heal and move on but believe me it was very hard to do this, I even tried to sneak back by changing my name, and this is something I don’t really agree with unless it is needed, I’m a very open person but I was missing you all so much. God chose you and Nancy, and you were both faithful to respond, I will never forget your kindness and the Love you both showed me, I was so excited when you visited me on our Blog, and sorry too when you didn’t continue with your own Blog. Yes, the world was rampant with wicked ness in the days of Noah, just as it is today. But there was something going on that was more than normal evil in the days of Noah and it is beginning now in this generation.

If you read the Book of Enoch, which is not part of the Bible Canon, but is recognized as a historical account by Jude, you will see that the fallen angels polluted the genome of humanity as well as the animal world. There is so much written, in the Bible and in books of history. We do not understand it all, but we will. I love you Anne and we will just have to agree to disagree. I belive that we are living in the last days and it will all be revealed by His coming.

I had written a much longer reply to you, including agreeing with you that we are in the early Tribulation Times that Jesus told us about and we can see the signs He mentioned all around us and it is indeed becoming like the times of Noah but my Computer crashed and I lost it all but thankfully I was able to boot up again and reply to you but I made my reply shorter.
Thankfully we know as Jesus said that we will be Raptured or as told in Revelation, there will be the First Sickle and after the goats are separated from the sheep, we will than return to Heaven with Jesus.
We will not as God’s Redeemed Children go through the final end times were there will be much devastation as the earth wears out, some of which was caused by man trying to control the elements and so tampering with the earth’s formation, God has held it together but will soon allow Satan his right to put all those remaining on earth to the test, as he has done already with us or will do.
We give thanks that for us these years will be shortened although as we know some of us before Jesus returns will be Martyred which is happening already in some Countries but it will be World wide as the One world Government takes control and we will be accused of being traitors if we don’t agree with the evil it propagates and because we will not take the mark and worship the Beast. God tells us we will know how to respond, we will have a great defense, but not for this life, for Eternity and we can be assured He will keep us strong to the end and as shown in the Scriptures below, He will be with us as we go through it as He is now.
Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”
Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Hi Anne,
I do not argue over doctrines that are peripheral to the main message of the Bible which is Jesus’ Ransom. What I think or what you think about what happened in the days of Noah are not necessary for our salvation. We will accomplish nothing by debating this subject. If what I believe about this is not true, it will have no effect on my eternal life.

That’s true as you say Anne, the great flood was necessary in God’s eyes and He sent it for man was beyond redemption . Only those who truly believed were saved, and God did this through love. He is the author of love and compassion , Satan is the author of lies and deception, and so wants us to believe that God punishes. Unfortunately we suffer from our own actions, God doesn’t bring it on us.He walks beside us in all our suffering and tribulation.Hallelujah for His Grace!

Thank you Love, so True God is compassionate and His Love is Merciful, He wanted our Love, He knows us from Eternity. So many have fleshy fear of God and so don’t Trust Him and so they live in defeat not experiencing all God has for them.
