How are your feet ???

You may have noticed that the Scriptures refer to our feet a lot, without them we would fall,  they are our physical foundation, as God is the foundation of our Soul, of course some verses that mention feet, good and bad are speaking symbolically and have a Spiritual focus, such as our feet swelling, when do they swell…when we walk on rocky ground and when we do it’s our choice not God’s, He shows  us the right path to walk  when  we choose His way and not our own. 

 

God does not willingly choose to afflict our feet or any other part of us, yes sometimes we do have pain, it can be a warning something is wrong or a physical reality, like childbirth or having an Operation, with me it is because of my  bunions from wrong fitting shoes as a Teenager and advanced Arthritis in them now, not a good combination, but thankfully God has provided pain relief for me with His healing Balm and He also healed me last year in October of the Arthritis in my Spine that would have left me a Paraplegic, the Doctors had told me there was nothing more they could do. 

 

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

 

God is not the Author of sickness, suffering and death, we live in a fallen world that Satan controls, but God did create us to reap what we sow, this is why  some Scriptures seem to relate that it is by His hand that we suffer or that He causes hardship and yes it could be said that He did indirectly by creating us to feel good if we do good, but when we choose to do evil, we suffer for the wrong we do too but it is always our choice if we suffer affliction by our own actions God still watches over us and will rescue us if we are in eternal danger. 

 

 When we choose to walk in obedience, which is not works, we are greatly blessed by God, not hurt by Him, we don’t punish our children for doing good  and it is also not how God conforms us into the image of Jesus or moulds and shapes us. We Train Children to do good, by our words and example, we don’t cause them to suffer just in case they don’t obey us or to force them to Love us regardless of how much pain we cause them.

 

Deuteronomy 32:3-5 Because I will publish the Name of the LORD, ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of Truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.

 

1Corinthians13:6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the Truth.

 

Good always brings good… evil is the absence of Love and can do no good… God is Love and can do no evil, what some think is evil is His Love and protection, like the world wide flood in the time of Noah that Archaeologists have now confirmed and also there was the  need to eliminate the Pagans knowing they too would always choose to live in debauchery and cruelly afflict their children and others and so they would continue to pollute those who they came into contact with and the Israelites  did not have what we have in Jesus Christ  through the indwelling of The Holy Spirit to uphold and shield them.

 

All good things come from God, He never leaves us, His redeemed Children when we are in trouble, instead He keeps us close. I’m sure like me you  find great comfort in God’s Truth in the Scripture below and in knowing you are greatly Loved by Him.

 

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

God knew mankind would sin and yet  He still gave us free will and Jesus and the Angles too, He didn’t want Puppets, do we want someone to Love us because they have no choice? He Loves us passionately and wants us to choose to Love and obey Him freely, He has known us from Eternity and in His heart the good outweighed the bad, it was why He sent Jesus to Redeem us and set us free from the punishment we deserved and from the slavery of sin, so we would not sin, No Temptation will be greater then we can bear, Jesus is our Armour, His Truth our shield, we are girded or fortified in His Love.

 

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of Peace and not of evil, to give you a Future and a Hope.

 

When we are Born again we have the Holy Spirit indwelling us and we have the mind of Christ, our flesh has been put to death and we have God’s seed or Nature, we are perfected in Love, if this is not True God has lied to us!

 

2 Samuel 22:36-37  Thou hast also given me the Shield of thy Salvation: and Thy gentleness hath made me great.  Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.

 

Choosing  to obey God will bring deep inner Joy and regardless of the circumstances that life brings or the hurt others cause, we will reap a wonderful, uplifting bounty of good tidings and we rejoice not for the suffering but in knowing without doubt our Eternity is with Him and also that regardless of the Storms we encounter in life, He will always be with us and will strengthen us so we can endure and not give up.

 

Psalm 119: 1-3  Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord. Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.They also do no iniquity: they walk in His ways

 

When we really Love God we want to obey Him and not hurt Him in anyway and we long to share about Him with others, our Joy overflows because  we know Him as a God of Love who can do no evil and we are assured that we Love Him because He first Loved us.

One of the Scriptures that always encourages me to share openly about our Awesome God is …

 

Isaiah 52: 7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth Peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth Salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
