Sausage Orphanage

Mobility Scooter  I have something Special to share with you, I have been very  excited  since last week, I was on the way to do my shopping on my Mobility Scooter, which helps me manage as I’m unable to walk for very long without having painful feet and shopping is something I really enjoy as I meet lots of friendly, interesting people, most are very caring and help me when I can’t reach things and sometimes our conversations lead to my sharing how very much God Loves them and also His healings and many blessings in my life, it really is a special time that I look forward to each week.

Sausages 3

I was just about to enter Woolworths, when  I could smell Sausages cooking, yum, yum, when your hungry they do indeed smell sooooo good, I had been wondering what to have for lunch as I hadn’t packed anything, so I ordered a Sausage sandwich and as I was waiting I started talking to the very  friendly Lady selling them, well I haven’t been the same since… This amazing woman, Alissa Hill has a heart so big she left me speechless and believe me that’s saying something unique, those who know the length of my comments have probably worked out I also enjoy talking and those I have talked to on the Phone in America, have no doubts about it, I am indeed an Evangelist but as Alissa shared why she was having a Sausage Sizzle all I could do was nod and smile, but I wanted to shout Praise The Lord! I felt so much Joy it was overflowing, I am so very touched by Alissa’s story, I just have to share it with all of you and ask for your help too.

Alissa 2
 Alissa Hill

Alissa’s Children had grown up and being a qualified Counsellor, with a very caring heart as you will see, she wanted to Adopt a Child but was unable to because being a single Mum didn’t meet Queensland’s requirements for overseas Adoption, so because Alissa having always wanted to help those in need even as a child, underprivileged Children became her focus and is was what motivated her to decide to care for needy Children in Nepal.
 Nepali slum 1
Nepal is one of the poorest Countries in the World with one of the highest rates of infant mortality and child trafficking. Up to 12000, girls a year are stolen and sent to brothels in India and abroad, many woman and children live miserable lives suffering sickness and severe malnutrition, they have no opportunity for a future and  their pagan gods offer no help but you are reading this because our God cares deeply, His heart is breaking as he witnesses the helplessness of His suffering Children…

Alissa's Children 18
Some of Alissa’s Children

We can make a difference, we can bring health, Love, Joy, Hope and Peace where there is now none for many of these Children unless they are cared for by someone like Alissa or others who have a caring heart.

Alisa and the Children
Alissa and a few of the Children, Hmmmm
someone wants to play with the Toys.

I will Post again with all the details of how Alissa started her Sausage Orphanage last year in November and her wonderful plans for it to increase and  become self-supporting and most important for the Children to have Schooling, which means they won’t be targeted for Child Trafficking. I will also post more pictures of the Children and those who Care for them. The Orphanage is called Sunshine Children’s Home Nepal,  which I’m sure will bring much Sunshine to many Children.

Alissa has raised the money to start her Orphanage by Donations, her savings, hard work and boarding 3 Students. As there is no Government funding in Nepal,  Alissa comes back to Queensland every couple of months to raise money to keep it going, she does this by having many, many Sausage Sizzles and Garage Sales with donated goods, which are very popular in Queensland, Aussies love a bargain! but wonderfully they also donate and help support Alissa and the Children without receiving something in return, except of course Joy and thankfullness in knowing Children in need are being cared for .

SAMSUNG

It doesn’t matter where they live, Children love to play
and it’s so good when they can.

Alissa’s Orphanage is a recognised and registered Charity and you can support a Child personally and be in contact with them through letters and  Skype, a Computer was Donated recently to make this possible… how good is that! but I do realise that some of you may be finding it hard to manage financially yet still want to be able to help, so I thought of a way you could with the most important needs these Children have, like food, clothes and medicine etc.

If all of us who Blog for Jesus could give even just $5.00 or more if your able to, we could raise enough to help Alissa meet these urgent costs and also give her more time in Nepal to be with her much Loved Children, she now has over 14 but more are expected daily.  Alisa would like to help many more Children so you can be sure I will be asking God to multiply what ever is given but of course our Loving Heavenly Father thought of this first, His work done in His way never lacks His Supply, He sends help…

And that’s us, The Body of Christ, His Children and He has blessed us so we are able to help others in need and we know it’s a Joy when we do, so we are blessed again in our giving.

If you would also share with others about Alissa and her Sausage Orphanage, it would be very much appreciated and help greatly to make her needs known, I’m sure this type of gossip would be called Godly.

Alissa’s Sunshine Children’s Home in Nepal also has a  website ( see below )  where you can donate using Pal and if wanted can leave a comment or you can talk to Alissa personally by phone, the number is provided.

Many Blessings to you all as you reach out to others in need,

Christian Love from us both Always  – Your Sister Anne.

  6. Alissa is an angel sent to Earth to help these children. The world is getting more scary. I can not imagine another human being using children for evil purposes but they are everywhere around us. We need more kind hearted people like Alissa to save as much children as we can. God bless her, her family and her community for making a huge difference for others. Thanks my friend. A post that opens our eyes to the truth. God bless.

Hello Dear Island Traveler, no Alisa is not a celestial being but she does have as you said a very kind heart and very deep compassion for her Children as she calls them.

I was abused both Physically and emotionally as a child ( see my link below ) but I learnt that forgiveness is the only why to have freedom over bad things that happen to us by other people, when we let go of all bitterness and resentment, we can fly.

      Blog Post – https://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2011/09/27/the-early-years-a-little-lost-girl/

I’m sorry Island Traveler that I have not posted the Power point I promised you but I will try again later today, your Post about Love was so beautiful.

Wow Bob so very good to hear from you, I have often thought about you and Wendy, I was going to e-mail but thought perhaps you both just wanted to move on from Blogging.

I can’t stop smiling 🙂 so glad your back, perhaps we never agreed on everything Bob but we both agreed 100% that God is Love. I hope Wendy is really well, not that I would have wanted Wendy to suffer like she did and God didn’t either but He did bring good from it in my life, my faith increased greatly, no matter what Doctors claim God is the only healer, with whatever tools He uses.

Thak you for your kind words – Christian.Love from both of us – Anne.

Yes I agree Love, we need a 100% commitment and to support all those who care for Children but it needs to come from our heart and not be forced and if so we will be motivated and equiped the Holy Spirit.

Hi Dei, yes it was a blessing meeting Alissa and hearing about the work she does to help these very poor Children, what touched my heart is that they come first in her life, she is very passionate about caring for them. Of course it will take a lot of money long term but as the Holy Spirit touches the hearts of God’s Children, because they are seeking to be perfected in Love, by walking in the Fruit of the Spirit , then their kindness which is part of Love, will ensure that there will be enough to meet these dear Children’s needs.

Thanks for visiting Dei, I will see you soon – Christian Love Annie.

    Hi Anne
This is your Aussie mate from Sydney (remember, the one you left behind when you moved to QLD — Booo!)
Love the work you are doing on your blog. I am really impressed with the work that Alissa is doing in Nepal. Many people say things like “Charity begins at home”, and comment that we should be helping the needy here rather than overseas. The thing is, though, that there is a lot of charity and government help here, whereas in countries like Nepal, there is none. And who can honestly see children victims of child trafficking, and not want to help? God loves all His Creation, not just the Aussie ones! And if He calls us to a particular place or situation, you can really believe that there is a dire need there, one that He believes, with His help, that you can accomplish. Well done Alissa, and well done Anne, for bringing us the news of God’s Love, and His work in the world.

    God bless you, my friend.

Hi Marie, thank you for visiting and very True what you say, God loves a cheerful giver, someone who gives because they want to not just because they think they have to and this is True of Ailssa and many others. I’m praying for God to send out more workers and I know as they give their time and material help, they will not only bless others they will also be blessed, and it speaks powerfully to those who are in need, it shows God cares.

I have commented on your Blog a few times but never received a reply from you but perhaps like others you never received a notification from WordPress, sometimes this happens when they are older Posts, this is why I attached the Blogging Friends Encouragement widget on my Blog because you can see who comments and when they do and on what Post. This wiget is easy to attach and it means you won’t miss knowing those who visit you. Happy Birthday again and thank you for the other Award.
