Surfing the Blogs

Hi again my Blogging friends, yesterday I shared how I do my Devotions with you and also about  Aussie Blogging, I hope they helped you to understand  a bit more about how I Blog, today I’m going to share how I Surf the Blogs.

I started Blogging almost  a year ago in September but as I shared before at first I did not realise I was Blogging in America and wondered why you were all taking about your Country and some of the things happening there, ok, ok I’m a bit slow, I wonder if that is why God chose me, at least I can’t take the credit for my brilliance  that was a secret.

Over the year I have visited and commented on approx 260 WordPress Blogs, some many times, this is not including Blogs I didn’t comment on and Aussie Blogs or other name Blogs, with some Bloggers I have kept in close contact, with others we have moved on, not all were Christian, but each Blog was unique, so I have indeed had variety and have also have often been greatly blessed by what was shared and still am.

One thing I noticed was that even though I use to wait to receive a reply  after leaving a comment this did not always happen, although later I found out that some had replied, I just didn’t receive them, now I check back, it takes time but it is worth the effort to me, I like to have a conversation, you never know what will blossom, hopefully genuine Christian friendship.

As I was surfing the Blog this week, I found myself reading a Blogging friends Post about Love and Family ( see Link below ) The Island traveler’s Blog like some others is a favourite of ours that we really enjoy surfing, we love all his beautiful Photography and his true to heart sharing touches ours,  also his replies to us and others and his comments on our Blog are very warm, caring and uplifting.

Honestly though I’m not sure what I’m suppose to do as far as joining in with his weekly Photography when I don’t take photos or have any taken, even the one of Ron and I is 5 years old, I love other people’s photos  but when I take them they show just sky or feet or they are up side down.
The Island traveler and Ron and I  come from very different cultures and different Religious backgrounds but we have a united focus in that we seek to Love God and others but not because we have to but because we want to.  Can you imaging being happy if someone said to you… Ok I Love you because I have to! or I will obey you because I’m scared of you, and frightened what you will do to me, I’m sure we would not be jumping up and down with joy!

This is the same with God, He does not want us to feel we have to Love Him or others or even obey Him out of fear, He wants us to do so because we Love Him and them in our heart.

John 14:13-15 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. If ye Love me, keep my Commandments.

If we have done wrong we are to repent and seek to correct it in what ever way is needed and then choose to Turn from evil and do good by The Holy Spirit’s empowering but once again not because we have to but because we want to because we Love in our heart not just our head.

Back to Island traveler…
What really spoke to me in his Post on Love and Family was how he disaplined his son, I’m sure he would agree he did not sit down and plan how to hurt him to make him obey. If you take the time to visit his Blog you will see how he did correct his son, but to summarise, it was indeed lovingly but with firmness, he did not afflict him with suffering and hurt, but his son would not have had the joy of the gifts he had been given or any rewards and also close fellowship with his father and mother if his bad behaviour had continued, he would have had time out.

But regardless of this I’m sure the Island traveler would not have remained passive if someone else tried to hurt his son, unless for some valid reason it was not possible for him to intervene but knowing his great Love for his son he would still not delight in the evil that was done to him  or willingly allow it and would seek to help him through it…but what would happen if his son had continued in disobedience perhaps we need to keep  Surfing his blog to see, let’s hope his son does not but without a doubt even if he did the Island traveler could not become hard and mean and uncaring, it is just not part of his Nature as shown by his words and actions so far on his Blog and others.

God’s Love and goodness  is so great He too does not seek to hurt us in any way or cause us to suffer and have hardship or does He willingly allow it, He tolerates it not wanting anyone to perish  but He knows we will have hardship and helps us when we do and makes all things work for good.

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Thanks Island Traveler for being you, your willing to learn and be corrected in Love and  are always honest and very caring.

Thanks everyone  for listening to my Surfing the Blogs and to all my comments and messages  on your Blogs and mine, this is very much appreciated.  Christian Love Anne.

  4. God works in mysterious, amazing ways and guess who’s blog he led me first today? The one and only…Freeedomborn! I am speachless after reading your heart-felt, faith filled generous, loving post. I wish I have a wider grasp and memory of God’s words in the Bible as much as you and Ron do. I grew up studying Christian faith from kindergarten to college but somehow adulthood took away those priceless continuing education. I always know that one day, my faith will knock on my door and say, “Hey, where you’d been? I missed you.” I thank God for not giving up on me. He reveals himself to me everyday through my friends, family to my blogger friends, even random strangers who will make gestures of kindness. I pray each that I will be a good father and a good husband and everyday, I learn. But my best guide is our Father’s ultimate love and sacrifice for us. He is the way, the truth and the life….life eternal. Thank you for sharing all these. I am grateful and honored. I agree, “God’s Love and goodness is so great He too does not seek to hurt us in any way or cause us to suffer and have hardship or does He willingly allow it, He tolerates it not wanting anyone to perish but He knows we will have hardship and helps us when we do and makes all things work for good.” Blessings to you and Ron.

Wow Island Traveler… The one and only…Freeedomborn! I’m speechless now, if that is possible but perhaps some are happy there is only one me, 😀 thank you, as I said you have a genuine Loving heart both towards God and others but also a humble spirit. I don’t mean what the world thinks is humble, which is putting ourselves down and having no assurance that we are people of worth, or not sharing what is in our heart thinking it is foolishness.

We know we are of value in God’s eyes or Jesus would not have died for us, our humbleness is genuine when it comes from considering others before ourselves and a willingness to change if needed knowing that God’s ways are so much better then ours and that His guidelines are for our good and we then have an assurance that what we share about God’s Truth is from Him and also of great value because it is not about what fleshy man thinks or about his agenda.

I e-mailed you recently Island Traveler, did you receive it ? others have told me they haven’t, it may be Computer problems, it is going to be serviced again soon and the bugs removed this time, I hope! also I’m still having problems with the Blog but have contacted WordPress so we will see.

Take care my friend – Christian Love from us both – Anne

UP! UP! and AWAY oops 😳 that’s in a ballon not a wave, just my brilliance showing again Love, a good old chat! Yep sometimes it is the same old story but what I really like is a conversation not a monologue, still sometimes that is all there is, bit like Paul spending 4 years in prison, I’m sure their postal service was not as regular as ours and his messages would also have gone unanswered for a very long time but then here we are addressing them today in our lives aren’t we, so there is always hope! but realistically what is wanted today is just short and sweet no detail, bit like instant coffee, no body but then on the other side of the percolating bean, you can say a lot in a few words and of course some do but empty platitudes don’t cut it because actions speak louder then words and Love is an action, even God’s Truth has feet.

Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth Salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
