Miracles are as important today as they were in NT times and they were recorded by the Gospel writers 37 times !
In Acts 19.-v.11 And God wrought special Miracles by the hands of Paul:
1 Cor 12.v- 10-11 Paul says the Holy Spirit gives to some the power to perform Miracles.
Heb 2.v.4 God verified His presence and Power through Miracles.
John 14:11-13 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My Name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (NKJV)
James 5:13-15 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing Psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the Elders of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (NKJV)
Just a brief look at some Scripture, and there are some great links below which also confirm that the age of Miracles is not dead!
It’s great that God never changes, He remains a loving merciful God who intervenes when needed to heal His Children, even restoring and saving them from Physical death as well as Spiritual death.
Daniel 4: 3 How great are His signs! and how mighty are His wonders! His Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom, and His dominion is from Generation to Generation.
Daniel 6: 27 He delivers and rescues, And He works signs and wonders In Heaven and on earth, Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.(NKJV)
Yes there will be the Counterfeit and there is deception today, Anne and I will share more about these later but the reality is that I and many others have known personally some who have been cured through God’s Miraculous intervention including Anne, whom just recently was healed of a condition she was born with that would have caused her to be a Paraplegic within a few years or before.
I have also witnessed first hand how God has worked powerfully other Miraculous healings in Anne, some which could have caused death, these were over many years through different situations and there were other wonders even before I met Anne, when she was much younger.
These physical conditions were well documented and the evidences of major problems gave a prognosis that was not very good but Anne was still healed regardless of Medical evidence to the contrary.
God in His awesome love and mercy, intercedes, bypasses at times the normal and expected avenues although He does use these as well as those with the gift of healing but He is the only Healer, all good things come from Him. He touches lives, not by the earning, but by His wondrous and bountiful Grace, now could we say no more than Hallelujah!

Ron, yes miracles are happening every second. A baby is born, a soul is saved. I can testify to being born 2lbs 2oz. and my mother was told I would not make it. But here I am today witnessing for Jesus. God is a miracle worker. Amen. Praises to His name.

Thanks for this powerful and timely post Ron! There are extremes that we should avoid. Those who believe that miracles ceased after the Apostles’ era and those who draw on powers other than God in order to deceive people with signs and wonders. It is a great thing that you’ve taken time out to remind us of the integral role miracles play in our faith. Thanks Ron

Yes what you are saying Watchman is correct, the on going belief in God’s Miracles and signs and wonders today is integral to our growth in firm faith and trust in a God who loves and continues to work in our lives and who intercedes Miraculously when needed, He has never changed, so many confuse Scripture with humanistic views and lack of life changing faith. And far far away, on this same morning, the Lord gave me a mission & it starts with Acts 3…
“Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour [3pm]. 2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Then Peter said,
“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.”
“16 And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

Thank you Love for sharing the wonderful Blessing I had with everybody, sometimes the reality of God’s mercy and Love overwhelms me and I ask why me, I don’t deserve such kindness but as you say, do any of us.
Like you Love, I don’t put God in a box, He is free to do as He wills in my life because I know it is always good. I Trust Him and I know He does not say one thing and mean another but we need to understand what He is saying in the first place.
