A Child’s View

A Child’s View of Thunderstorms…

A little girl walked to and from school every day.

Though the weather one morning was questionable and clouds were forming, she made her daily trek to the Primary School.

As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with lightning and rain.

The Mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school and she feared the electrical storm might harm her Child and the rain was starting to  become heavier.

Full of concern, the Mother quickly got into her car and drove

Along the route to her Child’s School..

As she did, she saw her little girl walking along…

At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile.

Another and another flash of lighting followed quickly and with each, the little girl would look at the streak of light and smile.

When the Mother’s car drew up beside the Child, she lowered the window and called to her…

‘What are you doing?’

The Child answered,

“I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture.”

Let’s seek to have a good day today and everyday and as we face the Storms that come our way let’s Trust in the Lord  to light our way.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

  3. Hey Anne, I just wanted to let you know I changed my url to kingdomofgodservantv4.wordpress.com, if you backtrack my posts you will be able to find out who I am, I had to change it because I was getting unwanted spam.

Sorry KingdomofGodservantv4 you have had problems with spam, their a nuisance but if it happens again you can get protection at a small cost and it works well, with some Blogs you don’t have any cost it’s included but thanks for letting me know and remember you can always e-mail me as before.

Hi Dei, I liked this one too, it reminded me that unlike you I’m camera shy, I can’t take photos and don’t like my picture being taken, except by God, His are always perfect.

The photo I use on the Blog is 5 years old and the only one of Ron and I together, except of course for our wedding pics, my Sister Anne was in one too, they were taken when they were visiting us from New Zealand, I’m sure I look much older now but Ron hasn’t changed much. I had a lot of trouble with the Gravator trying to make it fit, I must have about 20 copies, oh well we can’t be good at everything and technology is not one of my strengths and Ron’s for sure, that’s why we need people like you.

Thanks for visiting Dei, it’s always good to share with you.

      Christian Love Anne

  5. Smile…click, click, click! Love it the story. Why can’t we all face life and its challenges like a little child? We can all learn from this little girl and her 100% trust in God. Thanks for sharing. Have a beautiful weekend.

Hi island traveler, so very True what you said, you are confirming what the Scriptuers tell us (see below ) we must become like a Child, dependant and Trusting God, just like your son does with you and your wife.

Matthew 18: 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Thank you for visiting, island traveler we know you are very busy, so many to reply to on your Blog and your words are always uplifting, thank you for your encouragment and support we value and appreciate it.

      Christian Love Anne.
