Help Us To Remember

Heavenly Father, Help us to remember that the person we called a jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children…

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can’t make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester…

Remind us, Lord, that the strange looking man that is called a bum by some people, and who is begging for money in the same spot every day (and who we think really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares…

Help us to remember that the old couple who we feel are walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savouring this moment, feeling  that because  of the biopsy report that he got back last week, this may be the last year   that they will be able to go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is your Love.

Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all Humanity. Let us be slow to judge and only with Love and for Love, quick to forgive and to always seek to show patience, empathy and Love.

Help us  Lord to remember  to touch people with Your Love today to show we  care and be there for them when they need us …

Working for God on earth doesn’t always  pay much materially but His Retirement plan is out of this
World.

Good reminder Anne to use situations and happenings in a positive way and not focus on a negative, not always easy but more beneficial, health and spiritually.

Very True Ron but sometimes we also have to face reality, Jesus was known as a man of sorrows and aquainted with grief He did not burry His head in the sand or wear a mask pretending to be Happy Clappy, He grieved for those who would perish rejecting Him , He still does today, He Loves even His ememies but hates what they do to hurt others because of their selfishness and fleshy pride.

      Christian Love Anne.

  2. Thank you my friend for reminding me today to see beyond a person’s imperfections. Sometimes I get so focus on the wrong that I fail to see the right and what is good in that person. I pray today that God will give us the heart to understand, eyes that see past the mistakes and shortcomings, of a mind that is open and ready to forgive. This words are beautiful, “Help us Lord to remember to touch people with Your Love today to show we care and be there for them when they need us.” Wishing you and Ron all life’s wonderful blessings…

  3. When we allow the light and love of the Lord to shine forth from us, we will see the PERSON, not the behaviour or the thing we don’t like. We will reach out to the person with His love.

Hi Angela, I understand what you are saying, of course we will still see the wrong others do, Jesus did and told them to go and sin no more and as the Scriptures below confirm, God can’t fellowship with evil but when we have God’s Love, our hearts eyes will see others as He sees them with compassion and understanding, in other words He can see our weaknesses and shortcomings and when we sin but Loves us anyway, yet passionately longs for our heart repentance so we can walk with Him in Victory… True Love is not blind just forgiving.

John 9: 31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth His will, him He heareth.

Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.

      Christian Love Anne.

Hi Dei, very True we don’t judge others without Love and compassion but we also don’t condone sin, Jesus didn’t but He said He came to save the sinner and that they were spiritually sick, He could see their heart, but He still said go and sin no more, He alone offers the balm to heal the wounds that cause many to sin.

Thank you for your Loving support over many , many months both on my Blog and by e-mail I feel very blessed that you found my Blog and liked the front page.

I imagine we all have at least one “it’s all about me” t-shirt. We forget this world has nothing to do with us and everything to do with Him and His desires for us. Thanks for reminding us not look on another from the surface only; there is a bigger story going on underneath.
    Keep the Faith, sister!

Hi Sis, my it’s all about me T shirt, just kept getting bigger and bigger, in the end in desperation I asked Jesus to help me, He washed it with His Love and it shrunk.

My first husband was very violent but he had been tortured as a child by his alcoholic father and his father had been badly abused by his father and so on and so on.

Can we judge anyone without Love and compassion and not offer forgiveness when God forgave us of the evil we did even after we hurt Him greatly, do we have a right to point the finger at anyone, we forget when we do three point back at us.

Thanks for sharing Karin it’s always uplifting, your focus is great, meaning Godly.

      Christian Love Anne
