We Are Not Alone

Two frogs fell into a deep cream bowl,
One was an optimistic soul;
But the other took the gloomy view,
“We shall drown,” he cried, without more ado.
So with a last despairing cry,
He flung up his legs and said, “Good-bye.”

The other frog said with a merry grim,
“I can’t get out, but I won’t give in.
I’ll just swim round till my strength is spent,
Then will I die the more content.”

Bravely he swam till it would seem his struggles began to churn the cream.

On the top of the butter at last he stopped,
And out of the bowl he gaily hopped.

What of the moral? ‘Tis easily found:
If you can’t hop out, keep swimming around.

 Dont Give Up!

 We are not alone…

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the Children of men.

Hi Emma thank you for visiting us and we look forward to sharing more with you. I visited your Blog too but mostly your About, I will catch up with more later, I have a new furry friend to settle in but as this story tells us whatever we encouter in life we Trust God, like young Children Trust their Parents, we don’t question Him or doubt what He tells us is True, as for me I believe what God says 100% and He has never lets me down, I either believe Him or I might as well throw up my legs and drown but I know without a doubt our Creator does not lie.

Thanks again – Christian Love Anne.

Anne, I really appreciate you pointing out Isaiah 43: “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you.”
This is a great passage that gives such great encouragment to God’s people…. The assurance we have that He will be with us during times of trials is based upon the fact that He has redeemed us. Because He has paid our ransom, we are now His, and He promises that He will always accompany those that are His!

    Thanks for the posting.

Hi Rob, very True God knows us in His Spirit and in His heart before we are conceived and in the flesh also when we are. Because He knows that we will accept the free gift of Salvation by heart repentance, He chooses us to be conformed into the image of Jesus His beloved Son, part of The Godhead.

Yes as you shared Rob because He also knows everything that we will experience in life good and bad, He does indeed strengthen us so we can endure the suffering and hardship which Satan, and others inflict on us, we do not walk alone, although until we do come to heart repentance we reap what we sow, this is God’s discipline to let us but it’s our choice to rebel and ignore and disobey His guidelines not the good God wants for us.

But like the Prodigal son it brings us to our senses and to Him when we suffer the consequences of the wrong we do and God never goes against our free will, He does not want puppets, He wants us to freely Love and Trust Him from our heart not our head so we will be committed to Him out of Love not fear and then we will know Him as He is and be greatly blessed.

Thanks for visiting again we Love you in The Lord and pray that you will indeed be greatly blessed.

  3. I’ve used this illustration many times, Anne, and it needs to be used many more times. We tend to quit much too easily and too soon, when there is great victory ahead when we persevere. This is true in the spiritual realm but also in the secular. Our amazing God delights to bless us and use us to bless others.

Hi Angela, very True but I don’t really believe you can succeed in the Secular world, yes as far as success is concered by it’s standards but if you don’t believe in God our Creater you have failed, your a fool and He tells us this.

      • Yes Anne, I agree. If one does not submit to God and follow Him, NOTHING in life can be called a success.

However, there are (thankfully) many Christians who succeed in the secular life. (Secular does not mean evil. It’s main definition is ‘not religious’ or as we would say, not Christian-based)

We all live in the secular world and while we are not OF the world we are IN it without partaking of the evils it holds and upholds. Christians have a ministry in the secular world and we should never quit in our performance of this ministry – or in the secular position in which God has placed us. Jesus was a carpenter, Paul was a tentmaker, and no doubt they were successful in their trades.

Yes Angela, so True and what ever we do in word or deed we do for the Lord both in Secular work or Christian Ministries. Paul worked to be able to witness, Jesus gave up His Secular work to share the Good News, we too need to be willing to make sacrifices to witness, and as we have received, we give freely, as I’m sure you do Angela and have done gladly and with Joy.

          Christian Love Anne.

You are the second Frog Viv, you have been in situations that most would run a mile from but you didn’t, you put others first and you continue to encourage and uplift them, not because you have to but because you want to and you do so even now in the Storms that you have to endure… you are indeed the second Frog, your focus is on God and you have His strength.

Hi Dei, so true but if we do give up because we are God’s Redeemed Child, He churns the butter for us and helps us to hope out in case we slip, and He does this untill we have a firm footing … How Awesome is our God of Love.
