I don’t do windows because …
I love birds and don’t want one to run into a clean window and get hurt.
I don’t wax floors because …
I am terrified a guest will slip and get hurt then I’ll feel terrible
( plus they may sue me.)
I don’t mind the dust bunnies because …
They are very good company, I have named most of them, and they agree with everything I say.
I don’t disturb cobwebs because …
I want every creature to have a home of their own.
I don’t Spring Clean because …
I love all the seasons and don’t want the others to get jealous.
I don’t pull weeds in the garden because …
I don’t want to get in God’s way, he is an excellent designer.
I don’t put things away because …
My husband will never be able to find them again.
I don’t do gourmet meals when I entertain because …
I don’t want my guests to stress out over what to make when they invite me over for dinner.
So a plate of fruit and Chocolate kisses galore opens their door and brings them back for more.
I don’t iron because …
I choose to believe them when they say “Permanent Press”.
I don’t stress much on anything because …
Nothing still gets done and worrying is not much fun and being a crusty ol’ woman is not for me you wait and see!!!!
Well Daydreams can lighten the load but their ain’t no fairies so a bit of humor gets me by and that’s no lie!

Seriously though, we need to be both Mary and Martha but have the right Focus, that was what Jesus was saying, not that we should never work and so welcome the dust bunnies or never clean the windows, after all He looks after the Birds, but if we are worn out and pointing the finger at others, then we have got it wrong 😦
Now that we have cleared that up, how about you comming down for a bit of Spring cleaning, I will provide the Mop and bucket! 😀

Wow Angie, those 2 cents add up you know, I will owe you a fortune but your worth it. I was just wondering since there are no fairies would you be interested in Spring cleaning my house and of course Winter, Autum, and Summer cleaning it too, but I do agree 100% you don’t have to clean yours 😀

Great post! Indeed, trying to please everybody and everything will only make our lives a mess. This post is a strong reminder for me to seek to please God. Our pleasing men should be a byproduct of our efforts to please God, not the focus.

Viv I know what you mean, I waited years too but one day it dawned on me that there ain’t no fairies for sure, that was when I couldn’t get out of the front door because of all the clothes and dishes, pots and pans that needed washing but I did find help, it’s called a waste disposable unit, only thing it is a bit expensive to have to keep buying new clothes and dishes ec.
Yes I know you have always wondered why my house always looks so clean, now you know the secret and also why I never wear the same clothes more then a few times, as for the dusting, I’m very creative and like to draw, there is indeed a blessing in everything, like not being able to spell, I always find new words to express myself instead of using the same old ones everybody else uses 😀

Of course Ron you must be dog tired after running to and fro caring for your family and Church duties and me too, so no doubt you understand my sweeping everything under the carpet and not even dusting off my shoes, after all I’m house bound not a road hound like you, that’s why it’s better for me to keep everything under lock and key so no one can see especially me, that is till the good fairy starts a working bee and sets me free, untill then the Computer it must be, till it’s time for Tea….. I think I need a Holiday 😀

I just can’t understand Angela how you could want to disturb those little mouse critters in their home, not to mention the ever present cockroaches, they have a right to peace and quiet too you know and we need to respect their boundaries.
Now that is settled, do you know the phone number of a good cleaner who is not adverse to cleaning garden sheds with Mildew and Spiders, I was going to ask Dei but both her and her husband are more concerned with frogs right now… oh well I will have to rethink my ideas about fairies! 😦
