In Memory of our Missy

Sadly Missy our Jack Russel died yesterday Morning at 1 o’clock, we are not sure why, it may have been  a tick but we think it was her heart, she was about 10 years old or more, being a stray we were never sure.

She died peacefully close to me and did not suffer,  unfortunately  Rainbow Beach’s  closest Vet  is over 50 klms away and was closed so we could not get her any help. Although we are very sad as we both Loved her as part of our family, we do feel God’s comforting arms He showed us He was close at the beginning of our Holiday, even though we did not understand at the time.

Monty is looking for Missy and is not his playful self but is ok, the man next door Bruno dug a grave for Missy and even planted shrubs, it looks so beautiful with the Palm trees either side and two toned green and purple shrubs all around, he was so kind and caring and a complete stranger until Ron asked to borrow a spade… God is so good.

We have decided to stay and enjoy the rest of our Holidays, and will be back by Wednesday, we are having a picnic tomorrow on the Beach, I hope to Post the poem I promised and also answer our comments, thank you to those who shared or clicked on.

The Power Point below was created for a young girl who had a Jack Russel, Jasmine  found it hard to make friends at the time and asked for my help, I thought it would be nice to post this P.P  in Memory of  Missy our little furry friend who will always stay in our heart.

  3. I’m sorry to hear about Missy. There are no words to the ease the loss and pain. I know that right now you and Ron are sadden by her passing. Whereever she is, she is smiling and watching you both knowing how much she was loved. It’s also inspiring how total strangers offer acts of kindness. Yes, God is good…all the time. Take care you both. Have a great and safe vacation.

Thank you for your kind and compassionate words island traveler we appreciate that you care. Yes our pets have always been close to us, we concider them a gift from God and they have brought us great joy, we miss Missy but are greatful she did not suffer as others have and we were comforted knowing God was with us. We came home early because there were constant reminders and having not slept much for two nights with keeping an eye on Missy, I needed to rest.

Hi Annette, thank you for you kind words of encouragement, Missy has a place in our hearts eternally so will always be with us as are our other much Loved Pets who have died , we no longer remember the sadness only the Joy they gave us and this is a treasure beyond value. Right now God’s arms are comforting us in our sadness as are the kind words of Love and Compassion from you and others who care.

We are also very comforted in knowing as the Scriptures tell us that in Heaven the things of earth are remembered no more, we will have no memory of the sad things we have experienced or it would not be Heaven where we will only have Joy.

Hi Dei, thank you for your caring and prayer support as Missy was dieing, it comforted us greatly to know we were not alone and that you were praying for Missy too, suffering is never in God’s will but it is part of life and He upholds us through it and your Love and support helped us at this very worrying and sad time, with it being night in Australia we could not contact our other friends.

  8. Anne & Ron, my heart goes out to you for your loss of a great friend in Missy. I’m glad she didn’t suffer long and had the pleasure of your company all through. I know Missy wasn’t “just a dog” but was a much-loved part of your family. Grieve for her but be comforted by happy memories and well wishes of friends.

Thank you Angela, Missy was indeed part of our family and she is very missed , we decided to come home early, both for us and Monty, Missy dieing was traumatic for us because it was so sudden and unexpected and being there was a constant reminder.

We did enjoy most of our time at Rainbow Beach and will hold onto these memories, not the sadness.Thank you again Angela for your compassion and understanding.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne.

Thank you Francine, she was adorable, this is not a picture of her but it did look more like her towards the end then the one on my About, when she first came to us and was very thin.

Unlike you I’m not good with Photography, nor is Ron but we really enjoy yours and others like Lady Die’s and the Island Traveler, I use photoes and animation most of the time to express the story or message I’m sharing. Photography is a gift from God as is most of what is captured by the lens, you are very blessed Francine, to have this gift to share and thank you for doing so freely.

      Christine Love Anne.

Thank you Velta for your understanding, we have only had Missy for a few years she was a stray but she made a big impact on our lives and on Monty’s too, they became close very fast and remained that way, he always stayed close to her and Monty was the only dog Missy would allow near us without an argument, we all miss her.

Thank you Cathy and very True what you shared, animals are indeed a gift from God in all the ways He provided them.

Missy came into my life when I needed her most and can never be replaced, there is only one Missy and she will always be in our hearts but God has created us unique and animals too and each one has their own love to give, so we will look for a new furry friend for our family and so Monty won’t fret but we are very thankful for God’s arms of comfort and compassion, loosing Missy is painful .

Thanks for caring – Christian Love Anne

Annie & Ron, so sorry to hear your news about Missy, as I know how much you both loved her. She may have been a stray before coming to you, but she was treated like the little princess she was by both of you. I saw first hand how much love, care and devotion you showered on both her and Monty. So glad you both have God in your lives, as He carries you tenderly and close to him, in this distressing time. You are in my prayers, as you grieve over the loss of your fur baby.
