The Gaining of Wisdom…..

Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding
.
James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given them. But let them ask in faith, nothing wavering. For them that wavereth are like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

My Child I Gave you my wisdom on Monday have you forgotten…You need to give Thanks for it and not keep asking.
.
When you ask for it with all your heart and not just on  a whim,  you will receive but Believe you have received and then walk in My wisdom, giving thanks and don’t doubt or let others cause you to doubt…. grow and mature in my wisdom, increasing in knowledge and insight and rejoicing always in my Love and provision for you.I do not take my wisdom from you it is a gift.

Your wrong you know! what makes you think you have God’s wisdom? who says you do ? I’m telling you your wrong… how arrogant can you be, your wrong! wrong! wrong!

.

God tells us if we ask for His wisdom He will give it to us but we must believe that we have received it and be thankful. God does not lie and He keeps His promises 100%

.

Everyday

Thank you Lord for your wisdom.
.

God tells us if we lack wisdom to ask for it, we all lack His wisdom we were not born with it, it pleased God when King Solomon asked for it instead of worldly riches but some are not willing to submit as a Child and receive it but believe they know all that is needed to know, they Trust in man’s wisdom, knowledge, understanding, reasoning and logic not Gods, without Jesus our wisdom is foolishness. We need Godly wisdom with The Holy Spirits empowering to understand God’s thoughts, His Truth in Scripture, His guidelines and most importantly to understand His great Love and good plans for us. 1Corinthians 2:9-16

Worldly or fleshy wisdom……

.

2 Corinthians 1:12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and Godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

James 3:16-18

.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work… Do we consider fleshy worldly wisdom to be True or what God tells us? if we reject God’s Truth it will lead to confusion and strife the same if we envy others.

.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure …God’s wisdom is not polluted with fleshy understanding.

.
Then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated God’s wisdom when accepted brings Peace, it is gentle to the soul, and easy to obtain there are no fleshy restraints.

.

Full of mercy and good fruits …God’s wisdom is Compassionate and Loving and is shown in actions and words reflecting the fruit of the Spirit.

.

Without partiality, and without hypocrisy… God’s wisdom stands up for The Truth regardless of personal cost and does not show favoritism or does it say one thing and do another.

.

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace… God’s wisdom is righteous in all it proclaims which brings peace to them who also walk in God’s wisdom and Truth.

.

Wisdom is not about great worldly learning it is about Great Respect and

Trust in our God of Love.

    Very excellent Anne!
I believe that God is using you to help me. Please continue to help me.
I read scripture and I’m confused about some things…in some instances it appears that salvation can be lost.
So how do I harmonize that with passages like in John, where it says, I give unto them eternal life?

And how do I harmonize Ephesians 2.8,9 and Romans 4, and Hebrews 10.14….with Philippians where Paul states that he doesn’t consider himself as having attained to the prize yet, or to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, or James saying can a man be saved by faith only without works?

Help me if you can please.

    Lord bless you Anne.

    • Thank you once again for your encouragement Lee and I do indeed understand your Confusion as you can see on the Link below and of course I will share more of God’s Truth in Scripture with you but I will soon be going to Church and then I have a friend coming to Dinner but I will seek to respond to your Questions tonight as far as God leads me to but don’t worry Jesus is our Spiritual Master or Teacher as God is our Spiritual Father and He will lead you into all Truth.

Matthew 23:8-10 But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi for One is your Master even Christ and all ye are Brethren. And call no Man your Father upon the earth for One is your Father which is in Heaven. And neither ye be called Masters for One is your Master even Christ. KJV

Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go. I will guide you with Mine eye.KJV

        Thank you Anne.😃
No hurry, take a few days, or however long you want. I’d rather you not be rushed in your bible answers.
I’m going to read your article this evening that you linked for me to read.
But our time difference from you in Australia, and me in Texas means probably when I read it, it’ll be tomorrow your time. 😃

        Lord bless you.

        • I’m sorry Lee I was really tired last night after Church and than having Visitors and today when I intended to respond to your questions I had some other friends phone me wanting to take me out for lunch, it’s been a long day.

But I would very much like to read some of your Posts first Lee and seek to understand your focus better, I hope that is OK with you, yes I know you said to take my time but I don’t want to keep you waiting too long for my response so I will try to answer your questions tomorrow after I visit your Blog.

Thank you again for the Reblogs, your interest is very much appreciated.

            Good mornin Anne.
You’re probably not going to find much to discover about my doctrine in my posts. Because just before you discovered my site on wordpress…I deleted all but two of my posts, (I was starting anew).

I’ve really enjoyed your writing, and I am grateful for your kindness. Lord bless you.

I can however, tell you here where my focus has been.

Probably I could be described as hypergrace…resting in the finished work of Christ.
            My key verses being,
            Colossians 2.13, Romans 3.22, 4.5, and Hebrews 10.14.

In my past, I’ve been charismatic, Calvinist, and dispensational.
All 3 of which, I no longer am.

So I’m primarily hyper grace, with some reservations.
I’m starting over, because there’s some scripture that doesn’t agree with hyper grace,
And my last post that I wrote says it all.

I’m curious too, you once stated that when you read my “about page,” you almost unfollowed me, but I never understood why?

    • Hi Lee I can’t leave a comment on your About or I would show you with the confirmation of Scripture why you are in error but I will say here that I have decided not to follow Christians who claim they will continue to Sin until they Die when God tells us we don’t and can’t if we are Born Again, He also tells us to say we will not continue to Sin (see below) but you humbly affirmed you were in error about continuing to Sin on the Post I commented on so I still followed you.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto Sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1John 3:7- 8 Whoever Abideth in Him Sinneth Not, whoever Sinneth have not seen Him neither known Him. Little Children let no Man deceive you, he who doeth Righteousness is Righteous even as He is Righteous.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin, because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.

1John 5 18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God Sins but He who was Born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him.

Sorry Lee for not responding to your Posts and Questions sooner but I had 3 friends come for lunch today and than I went shopping and didn’t get home until after 6pm, I put my feet up which is often needed with my disability and fell asleep, I have just woken up and it’s after 11pm but I will stay up for awhile at least until I read and respond to some of your recent Posts and I will continue tomorrow reading them if I don’t finish them tonight.

      Blessings – Anne.

        Good mornin Anne.
We all continue to sin. But we must be obedient to the Spirit in our fight against sin. I believe that’s the lesson to be learned about our relation to sin.
Paul as an apostle, lamented that his flesh was ever sinning against his wishes. And he was chosen of God to write scripture.
Our thoughts that people can’t see are full of sin…foolish thoughts, doubt, fear, worry, lust, etc. There’s never going to be a time when we’re 100% sin free as long as we’re in fallen unredeemed flesh.

And 1 John 3.9 reads as follows…”Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin…”
It doesn’t say…won’t continue to sin.

Perhaps that is distinguishing the new man, (spirit) from the old man of flesh…I don’t know. But all I know is, none of us can say that we don’t sin.

        Lord bless you my friend.

        • 1 John 3:9 Lee does say we won’t continue to Sin in fact is says we cannot and in the Greek this means absolutely never.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.

Paul did not say Lee that he continued to Sin until he died, in Romans 7 he said he was wretched because he sinned but that Jesus would rescue him and than he tells us how not to Sin in Romans 6 and 8 and in other Scriptures by putting our Carnal flesh to death which causes us to Sin.

I have shared all about Salvation with you before Lee and always with the confirmation of Scripture but it seems you are not reading all the Scriptures I have shared or understanding the ones you have read, your still trusting in what you have previously been taught in error or believe yourself in error. It also seems that you write one thing in your Posts but believe something different so I will no longer continue to respond to your Questions or Posts what is the point but I will continue to pray for you.

          Blessings – Anne

    • Sorry Lee, I did promise to respond to your Questions and I always keep a promise although I’m not sure at this time if it will be of help to you.

The Scriptures tell us that by God’s foreknowledge He chooses us to be conformed into the image of Jesus and the only way to God is Through our Faith in Jesus, so God knows before we are even conceived as He knows all things, that we will come to True Heart Repentance and accept the free gift of Salvation and our Actions and words will show we have when we have put our Carnal flesh to death and been Perfected in Love, which is working out our Salvation not working for it and being Born Again we no longer Sin.

God also tells us not one of us will be lost, yes He knows we won’t reject Jesus which is the unforgivable Sin because it is blaspheming the Holy Spirit by calling Him a liar, He witnesses to us of Jesus reality, God would not have chosen us to be conformed into the image of Jesus if He knew we would reject Him.

Satan has the right because of the fall to put us to the test as He did Jesus, Job, Paul, Peter etc trying to get us to worship and glorify him instead of God and he will temp us, we need to be on Gard not to fall into Sin before we are Born Again but if we do Jesus will intercede for us and we will be forgiven, God protects our Soul so we won’t be lost.

Yes Paul did say at one time he hadn’t been fully Perfected yet but he said later that he would receive the Crown of Righteousness as confirmed in the Scripture below and so will we having been Perfected in Love and we will have no fear of punishment but will long for Jesus’ Return.

2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith. Now there is in store for me the Crown of Righteousness which the Lord, the Righteous Judge will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have longed for His appearing.

      Blessings – Anne.

  5. Anne, this is a good expose on wisdom. I enjoyed the wit at the beginning of the write up, which later flowed into doses of scriptures on wisdom. Very enriching. Please allow me to add one of my favourite verses on wisdom, which says, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30, KJV.

    • Thank you Victor for visiting and sharing, sadly it was not wit in my message it is Truth, some do keep asking God and don’t give Thanks for His blessings, they doubt that they have received them and yes some don’t ask so they don’t receive and some claim that you can’t receive especially His wisdom and so they are calling Him a liar but saying that they can’t receive either .

Jesus tells us we don’t have because we don’t Ask and He also tells us; to Ask, Seek and Knock and if what we ask for is according to God’s will we receive it and He does not lie. Worldly wisdom is the pits we need to humble ourselves and ask for God’s Wisdom in Christ Jesus and His empowering by The Spirit, none of us were born with them.

        • Please don’t feel the need to Apologize Victor, in one way it is humorous, I’m sure if I kept asking you for; lets say for a bunch of Roses after you had already given them to me, you would either think I had lost it or Laugh but I don’t think God laughs when we don’t Thank Him for His Blessings but instead keep asking for them… Wow I did it for years!.

Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification and Redemption are free gifts that we ask for after heart repentance, than we give Thanks for them and we show by our actions we have received them.

King Solemn asked for God’s wisdom and this pleased God and He blessed him greatly but sadly King Solemn later disobeyed God and ended in despair which of course happens to all of us if we don’t repent and turn from evil, yes we reap what we sow.

Thanks again Victor, I’m preparing a Christmas Dinner for some friends who are coming tonight but I hope to have some time before they arrive to read some more of your links but if not I will catch up tomorrow.

God bless you greatly – Anne.

    • Peter you have shown great wisdom in your response, many reject God’s Truth, some don’t even know it, this is why we are to reach out to others on their Blogs, not just on our own, the greatest encouragement we can give is to offer them the only Hope we have, which is as you know Jesus Christ but their eyes have to be opened and their ears before they can see and hear Him and for this we pray.

Thank you for visiting and sharing may you be greatly blessed.

  15. Thought this was great Anne! I was just asked this morning from another blog, “would you rather have luck or wisdom?” My answer was wisdom because as Prov. 8 says, “wisdom [is] better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.”

  16. Wow! Great post! Thanks for drawing my attention to it. You left no stone unturned in exposing the subject. I always love the part of believing that you have received after asking. Jesus said; blessed are those who believe without seeing. Faith does not weaver as a result of the facts. Jesus once asked some lepers to wash themselves in the sea and show themselves to the priests. I don’t know at which point the received wholeness, but I sure know that they believed and obeyed. Faith is the key to the miracles we long for. Faith is reassuring and brings peace of mind. Faith gives us the confidence to love. Them that believe, He has given the power to become the children of God. And them that follow the directions of the spirit, they are the sons of God.
We receive wisdom by faith in God and obedience to His word.
One wiser than solomon dwells in us: “The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.” (Matthew 12:42).
Nothing is hidden from them that trust the Lord and accept Him by faith.
    Welldone, Granny Annie!

    • Thank you Son, for your encouragment, what many forget is that when we ask in Faith we do receive and if we have God’s wisdom, we no longer have fleshy wordly wisdom, the same when we are Born again (see below ) we no longer have our fleshy Nature we have God’s seed, His Nature, we walk as Jesus did and we have His mind so we think and choose as He did and He did not choose to sin… the old has gone the new has come…. so sad many miss the plot.

1 John 3:1-11 (9) No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.

John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Romans 6:22-23 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

1 Peter 2:24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Wow there are so many Scriptures that talk about this Truth, these are just a few, why can’t they see them perhaps it is as the Scriptuers tell us they don’t want too or they don’t ask with all their heart for God’s wisdom.

In referance to the The Queen of the South, she will rise in the end times which is the judgment but she will be under the Authority of Jesus, not Solomons, she will have His wisdom not the worlds.

Thanks again Son – Christian Love – Grannie Annie

Hi Jerry, thank you for joining up with us and once again for your encouraging and uplifting words. Jerry I would like to share with you why God chose me to be His vessel, and then gifted me for the good work He had prepared in advance for me to do, think about it and see if you qualify.

1 Corinthians 1:25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty, and base things of the world and things which are despised, hath God chosen yea and things which are not to bring to nought things that are. That no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption, that according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him/her glory in the Lord.

God bless you greatly Jerry and those you Love.

So true! Wisdom is a gift. A seed that takes time to germinate: That the plant is not growing doesn’t mean the seed is not in the ground; it most likely means that the seed needs more time and nurturing to manifest. Similarly, the seed of wisdom, like every other seed, needs time and nurturing to manifest in someones life.

Hi Johnson, thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts on wisdom, which is a gift we ask for but as King Solomon shows us we need to keep our focus on God giving Him thanks and not doubting we have received His wisdom and then as we walk in His Truth it’s as you said we increase in insight and knowledge, yes like seeds that grow they are watered with God’s Love .

We still learn each day but it’s through the empowering of The Holy Spirit as Jesus our only Teacher leads us to full understanding. Before I received God’s wisdom, sadly my own being fleshy was based on worldly understanding, reasoning and logic, it had no True foundation no roots. With God’s wisdom which in it’s self is complete as The Holy Spirit is complete, we can understand what we learn with Godly insight, discernment, reasoning and logic but this is not like fleshy mans, which as you said on your Blog just puffs us up.

Hi Rob, I’m sorry I just found this comment in Spam, why I’m not sure but we do have a Hacker, it’s still undecided who he is connected to, I noticed some of my comments disapeared from your Blog too and I didn’t receive your replys in my In box.

Just want to add we are not enemies Rob, we all have the same King of Kings and Lord of Lords but Ron and I will never agree to adisagree when our Brother or Sister in The Lord is in error, that is not Love or tolerance but Apathy, we Love you in the Lord Rob and it’s not God’s will for anone to continue not to see Him as our Awesome God of Love as He really is and not the Scapgoat that many treat Him has.

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Psalm 107:16-18 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Proverbs 10:20-22 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth. The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom. The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.

Hi Love yes I love animation too, many do, it brings to life the story or message and we are also using all our senses, so it has a greater impact.

It is sad and strange that many keep asking God for His wisdom which shows they are doubting they have received it, yes we do grow in insight and knowledge by seeking Jesus our only Teacher to lead us into all His Truth, even mysteries but we can’t do this untill we receive in our hearts with thankfulness God’s wisdom and it’s a one off we don’t do it all the time, just as we wouldn’t keep asking for dinner after we have given thanks and eaten it or we have played golf and won but then keep trying to win, it just does not add up to what God tells us in Scripture, which is when we ask we receive His promise of the gift of wisdom and we give thanks and not doubt we have it.

      Christian Love Anne.

Thanks so much for signposting me to this eye opening post! One cannot over emphasise the need to retain a genuinely humble posture before God, earnestly seeking His wisdom in all things. My desire to maintain a teachable spirit has increased after reading this post. If the apostle Paul could say of himself that he never considered himself to have attained full knowledge of Christ, then who am I to go and block the flow of His wisdom and revelation through me by claiming to know it all. As a member of the body of Christ, it would be foolish of me to think I can go it alone with respect to wisdom and knowledge. Thanks so much for this Anne.

Dear Watchman, yes you can call me Anne, I like my name and it’s origins, can I ask what your name is? …

At one time Paul did indeed say he had not obtained it all or had he been fully perfected Philippians 3:12-14 but he put behind him his childish ways and understanding 1 Corinthians 13:10-12 and aimed to reach the goal to run the race, to win the prize and he tells us he finished the race meaning he was fully perfected in Love, his flesh put to death, Born again of God’s seed 1 John 3:9 and had the mind of Christ, and so he no longer trusted in fleshy wisdom his own or others.2 Timothy 4:7-8 God’s perfection is not as the world sees it.

I would like to share with you Watchman my full testimony in regard to obtaining God’s wisdom and what it means to have Freedom In Christ Jesus but for now if you have taken to heart the post you just read, then stop and ponder on these verses below, it would indeed be beneficial to read the whole Chapter as well. Christian Love Anne.

1 Corinthians 2: 9-16 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that Love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with Spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is Spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? but we have the mind of Christ. ( K.J.V)

Hi bloggeryenyen, yes we need to remember we are the Body of Christ, we are His hands, arms, feet and voice and we are to reach out to those who are suffering and in need of our encouragement and support and sometimes this means we will need to give Sacrificially of both our time and resources, this is why we need God’s wisdom in our lives not worldly understanding… Thank you for your responses to my comments on your blog and as you do I too enjoy a good laugh which like the gift of humour God has given for us to enjoy, there is a time for everything, but our focus must be uplifting even in humour and we are not to joke at the expense of others, unless it is so extreme as to be invalid or just very much unbelievable … have a look at finding your Role Model on my Blog and the other jokes and you will see what I mean.

Hi Corri, that is so True, we can’t buy anything from God it’s not about works but Jesus tells us we don’t have because we don’t ask or believe in faith we have received when we do ask . How many ask God for wisdom but then seek for worldly understanding, or ask for material things out of greed, as you and Dru shared and the Scriptures confirm.
