Our God Is So Big

Our God Is So Big

A little girl after being in Church with her Family looked upset, her Mother asked her what was wrong,  the little girl said…

“Mommy, it was what our Minister said this morning,  it confused me.Her mother answered,  Why darling did you find it hard to understand? he girl replied, “Well, Minister John said that God is bigger than we are …

Is that true?” “Yes, that’s true,” her  Mother replied.”He also said that God lives inside of us. Is that true too?” “Yes that’s right said her Mother ”

“Well,”  the little girl said, “if God is bigger than us and He lives inside of us, wouldn’t He show through?”

We allow the Holy Spirit to put to death our evil flesh by choosing to walk in Love…  ( 1 Corinthians 13 & Galatians 5:22-25 ) while  being  empowered by Him to do so,

Lets sing with the Children…  My God is so Big!

  1. Reblogged this on Worship The Lord Jesus and commented:
I have only one question: Does God show through in each of our lives?

Oh, out of the mouths of babes. We adults need to take a lesson from our children, to look at situations with simplicity instead of over-analyzing. Excellent post, Anne.
    Keep the Faith!

Hi Sis, I’m missing your messages but I have seen you around and we seem to always have the same focus. It is true as you say children do sometimes see what we miss, I will leave a link below for you, we need to Trust and depend on God like they do their Parents but as Adults we are to grow up in our faith and not be childish, and to use our God given reason and logic and His wisdom or we will never shine because we wont know how.

Lets see Sis how your logic and reason works out with these questions in the link.

The singing and dancing children were so cute!
God Bless You, Annie, and keep shining through!

  4. >> “Wouldn’t He show through?”
This is a challenge to all of us, because we know there are times when “self” rises to sit on the throne and He does NOT show through. Whenever we get angry, gossip, tell lies, put self before others, dislike a person, bear a grudge . . . the list goes on and on . . . we are blocking Him from ‘showing through.’

Possibly some of the saddest words in the Bible are found in Psalm 78:41 “They LIMITED the Holy One of Israel”. How pitiful that we, His created ones, His re-created ones, could limit the almighty!

What an awesome God that He continues His work in us, drawing us back to Himself, forgiving us, using us and enabling us to live victoriously for Him.

    What an amazing God!

Hi Angela, yes it is indeed our flesh that disorts the light and the reflection is very dim so we can’t see all that there is only bits and pieces, this is why we must put our flesh to death because we can never control it, Paul shared about this in Romans 7 but then in Romans 6&8 and other Scriptures he shared the freedom we have in Jesus who has set us free so we can walk in the Light but we must believe we can and not doubt, in Christ Jesus we do indeed have the victory.

  5. Wow! Out of the mouths of babes, as they say. Her question brought tears to my eyes!

I think Ron is right, sometimes we block His light, and He cannot be seen. I also think that sometimes we shrink God down to a size where He is more manageable or more conveniently fit into our lives. The operative word being “into”, that is, He fits inside of us with no hint that He is there.

Lord, may we never be guilty of limiting You, but may you shine through us in all Your glory!

Hi John I’m missing your messages but it is nice of you to visit, do you know on your Blog you left the E off my name, our Minister who you remind me of as I shared about before, use to always do that untill one day I said to Him… Ed how would you like me to leave the E off your name you would be D he laughed but never left my e off again.

John that is a bit like the Gospel, for a long time bits have been left off but they are all there in the Scriptures, if we have eyes to see, meaning if we have God’s wisdom to understand and it is somethig we have to want with all our heart, it is a treasure we ask for and receive.

The Scriptures tell us John that it is our flesh nature that causes us to sin or not shine, if we put it to death then we will shine and this will show we have God’s wisdom . 1 John 3:9

Ecclesiastes 8: 1 Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? a man’s wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face shall be changed.

Thank you for appreciating my heart sharing on our Blog.

      Christian Love Anne.

Yes showing through He loves to do ,unfortunately we sometmes block that light, and He cant be seen,Thanks Anne loved the graphics

    • Freedomborn says:

Hi Love that is why as you know we have to put the evil flesh Nature to death, so Jesus’ Light will always shine through, the flesh is like a wall, the light is shinning but we and others can’t see it.

      Christian Love Anne.
