A little something to put things into perspective…
A heartwarming picture of God’s wings in this inspirational Story below, written many years ago, sorry I don’t know who the Author is yet.
After a forest fire in a National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno’s damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. The eerie sight saddened him and he toppled over the bird gently with a stick and to his amazement three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother’s wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies.
Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast. Because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.
Psalm 91:4- 5 He shall cover thee with His feathers and under His Wings shalt thou Trust, His Truth shall be thy Shield and Buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night nor for the arrow that flieth by day.
Being Loved this much should make a difference in our lives.
We remember the One who Loves us, and then by the power of the Holy Spirit we choose to be different because of Him and He empowers us so we can be.
Loving God with all our heart we Long to please Him and by our heart repentance and accepting God’s sacrificial gift of Eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ His Son who has set us free from the Slavery and danger of sin, the Holy Spirit will give us the Strength as we ask Trust in the Truth of His Word to Live a Life that brings Glory to the Lord and He will…..
Lift us up in due time, He promises us He will!
(1Peter 5:6-7 & Matthew 21:22 & 1John3:1-11)
Annie, It is a beautiful story of love, protection, glory, and a future for those under the mother’s wings. It is the perfect segue into Easter with analogies between sin and the fire that overcomes, Jesus who died for us and our sins and the mother bird, and us as the chicks. There is one major difference… after 3 days, Jesus was resurrected from the dead. Jesus is alive!

Thank you Debbie and yes how very True, it is a good illustration of how much we are Loved and protected but yes Jesus rose to life He didn’t remain lifeless and He gave all of us who believe and so show we believe, Eternal life, how wonderful that we are before the Throne in Spirit already.

Amen, so happy God’s logic is not as man would do…else, he would have saved His Son, rather than the World. Instead…He stepped into time, sacrificed His Son, and saved those who believe.
Bless You

Hi Paul thanks for visiting, yes what you say is True Jesus died to save us from the punishment of our past sins and He also came to set us free so we would no longer be slaves to sin and so we no longer sin, as you can see in the Scripture below and there are many more that confirm this Truth.
Romans 3:24-26 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.
John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Hi Karen, like you said to me, can we ever stop being reminded of God’s Love, how sad that others even Christians are confused or deceived about Him and just how wonderful His Love for us is. He does not cause us to suffer or cause us hardship to teach us something, even His disapline is about Love it hurts when we reject it. His plans for us are good and not to harm us and He has always been like this and always will be He is Love full stop!
Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Hi nuvofelt, thank you for your kindness in calling by and yes God’s Creation is awesome, someone said about this story that the Mother bird was just responding to instinct… well whatever you call it… God is the Creator and He His Love and His blueprint for all His Creation in based on His Love, He is in all that He created, this is why we are creative even if some are not aware they are and sadly some use it for evil.
Are we worthy … No we have all fallen short of the glory of God but how wonderful He thought us all worthy enough to show Sacrificial Love and send His beloved Son Jesus Christ to be our Redeemer by dyeing for us. What amazes me is that even though He is complete in the Godhead and doesn’t need anyone, He still chooses to need us and this is a sign of His greatness.
Every time I share about my wonderful Redeemer my Spiritual Husband, I feel like bursting into song. I often do this on my Mobility Scooter and have been caught a few times but with being tone death I didn’t get any applause but Wow it always makes a Joyous impact on me.
Thanks again nuvofelt, as God uplifts us and perfects us in His Love, we will reflect His Colours in all their beauty.
Christian Love Anne.
