Good morning Anne. Catching up on my reading after a long working weekend. Very interesting – your interaction with NFQ. Praying!

Anne, this is exactly the sort of issue that I was trying to get at in the post you kept commenting off-topic about. It takes a special kind of deliberate obliviousness in order to write about how your god is “forever able” and through love will create a paradise “where none are ever sad”, but at the same time talk about “trial and pain,” “fierce winds.”
I understand that it can be comforting to people to imagine that there is a parental figure watching over them to make sure everything will be okay. But isn’t it actually more disturbing to imagine that all-powerful, supposedly loving and caring being just allowing his supposed creations to suffer immense pain? (More disturbing, I mean, than the world in which suffering is the result of random chance and certain instances of human malice.) Doesn’t sound at all loving to me. I know you’ve been through a lot of abuse and other difficult times in your life. I can’t imagine what it must be like to have such faith in a being that *could* create a world “where none are ever sad” but for some reason thinks it’s important to put people through stuff like that first.

Hi again NFQ I realise how hard it is for you to understand, I remember when I was an Atheist I found it so hard it made me angry, confusion and hurt does that to me.
What you haven’t experienced is the Love that God has for you NFQ because you won’t let Him show you, it’s like your in a dark room and there is a light switch but you don’t click it on, perhaps you frightened what it will reveal but God is not wanting to condemn you but save you… Wow I must have been the worst sinner I had ever known but He forgave me and took away all the fear I had in my heart.
When God made the World everything was very good much the same as it is going to be in Heaven only there it will be total perfection because everyone not just some will be complete in Christ Jesus and there will be no temptations like there was in the Garden of Eden, because there will be no evil, Satan will be banished forever never to return.
It is not God who has messed up this world NFQ it is Mankind, God is Love and can do no evil, He is patient not wanting anyone to perish not wanting you NFQ to suffer for eternity and do you know it grieves Him greatly that others have rejected His free gift of Salvation which was offered in Love, but it was their choice and God will never go against anyone’s free will.
Take Care and feel free to express your hurt when needed I do understand, I have walked in your shoes.
Kind regards Anne.

Haha, okay, wow, you really didn’t seem to read anything I wrote. How about this: you said, “it’s like your in a dark room and there is a light switch but you don’t click it on.” Why don’t you tell me how I can click that light switch of understanding on? Are you saying I just need to start believing, by sheer force of will, even though there’s no good evidence for the claims of Christianity?

Your right NFQ you can’t understand what only the Spirit of God can understand and when He is indwelling us we have no doubts about God’s goodness regardless of what others claim, it’s like their voices are on mute, we don’t hear them and why should we want to, we know their lies. God tells us when we search for Him with all our heart we will find Him, ask for His help NFQ humble yourself , you can Trust Him , I know it is confusing even some people in the Church tell you He makes you suffer but of course for good but that is not Love and God is Love, when we suffer He strengthens us and provides a refuge and a way to escape.
Take Care – Kind regards Anne.

How much more humble can I be? I don’t think I have all the right answers. I’m open to any evidence anyone wants to present to convince me to change my mind about anything I currently believe to be true. But all you are doing is saying over and over again that I should believe in the Christian god. Why? How else does one “search” for an entity except by asking for evidence that that entity exists?
Stand in my shoes for a moment. Suppose I were to say to you, over and over again, “God most likely does not exist. Stop believing in God.” Would this be an effective way to change your mind, or would you want some actual reason, some evidence?

Thats what you are trying to do NFQ …so are you really searching for God He tells us if you are you will find Him and He does not lie.

Thanks Dei, I’m missing your blog even if not the Spiders and Scorpions,. I found out something interesting today if you pour liquor on a Scorpions back it will sting itself to death … poor thing but it’s true to much Alcohol is disastrous even if it’d not put on the back, I wonder if it will work with Spiders probably not those critters would just drink it and ask for more!
