What IF?

What if we Get Tired of Being In Heaven?

If we are thinking we might get bored or tired of being in Heaven after a while don’t worry! Try to imagine something with me…

Imagine you are a little bird who lives in a tiny cage made of rusty metal. And inside your cage you have a food dish, and a little mirror, and a tiny perch to swing on.

Then one day some kind person takes your cage to a big, beautiful forest.

The forest is splashed with sunlight. Proud, towering trees cover the hills and valleys as far as you can see.

There are gushing waterfalls, and bushes drooping with purple berries, and fruit trees, and carpets of wild flowers, and a wide blue sky to fly in.

 And besides all these things,

there are millions of other little birds…

Hopping from one green limb to another…

 And Eating Their Fill…

        And Raising their little families…

    And Singing their hearts   out…

 All through the day…

Now, little bird, can you imagine wanting to stay in your cage? Can you imagine saying “Oh please don’t let me go. I will miss my cage. I will miss my little food dish with seeds in it. I will miss my plastic mirror and my tiny little perch. I might get bored in that big forest.”

That would be silly, wouldn’t it? And it’s just as silly to think we might run out of things to do in Heaven!

By Larry Libby, from Someday Heaven.

And when we are in Christ Jesus on earth and in The Kingdom of God! we will never run out of things to do that honour and uplift the Lord and we will also never become bored or tired worshipping and Praising our King of Kings in word and deed it will be our Passion…

Because our focus will not be on the things of earth but the realities that our ours in Heaven and there will be no uncertainty about Heaven in our heart because by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we will know all things because we are in The Kingdom of God!  ( John 16: 13-15 )

Luke 17:20-22 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.

Yes Anne its all a matter of perspective isnt it ? As a bird in that cage who hasn`t known any other life would be very happy to remain where he would feel safe and protected and have someone bring your food and look after you. What you dont know cant cause you to want it. But those who are not Christians and have seen the lives of those change who have become Christians, well that is different cause they choose to not want it.

We also know as Christians that we have a wonderful eternity to look forward to, this is God’s promise to us and so we are not limited in our focus like a bird or a non- believer we look forward to Jesus returning.

I pray for the right ones to share and often someone will say something that reminds me of one of them, like your wonderful presentation on your Blog it reminded me of the Cup of Coffee but also a few others I will post another one The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 Cups of Coffee in the near future. Are you sure your praying about my coveting of your Blog presentation or more importantly your role in it.

I am never bored here. Why would I ever think that I might be bored in heaven? I think the key to living (on earth or in heaven) is putting our life in the hands of God and letting Him be Lord in our life. He is the one that gives us purpose, joy and peace. You can never be bored when you are with Him.

Like you Gramma Velta, I have never been board but some have and as they say there is a difference from being a chook and flapping our wings then soaring up on high. As you wisely shared Gramma it’s all about letting God be Lord in our lives, believing and Trusting in what He tells us, obeying Him and having deep Love, respect and reverence for Him, knowing He can do no evil or does He seek in anyway to harm us.

Love You Gramma so pleased you liked the Power Point, have you decided what Teddy you are going to give me yet????? Annie
