Christmas is a special time of year and many celebrate God’s greatest Gift to Mankind, His beloved Son Jesus Christ.
We have been asked a few times now by differant Blogging friends if we would continue confirming Jesus Birth as being on the 25th of December. We felt the best way to do this is to share with you in the sequence of advents that God reveals in the Scriptures that happened before and after His birth.
We will look today at a few of these and at another time we will look at the signs in the Heavens before and at the time of Jesus Birth and also confirmation through other events and times of Jesus Life and Death, which also confirm that He was Born on the 25th of December.
Zacharias, who was John the Baptist’s father and also a High Priest appointed by God to make atonement for His people the Israelites. He was allotted His duties as were all the Priests who ministered in the Temple and the regulations were to be fully observed by all of them according to their position.
We can see that Zacharias was a High Priest by the Duties he preformed and also by his age. A Priest who was doing his lot of duty only served till the age of 50, ( Numbers 4:3 & 8:25 ) a High Priest served till they died,

Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth as told in the Scriptures ( Luke1:7 &18 ) were very advanced in years much older then 50years, and they were both past child bearing age. Luke tells us that they were both righteous before God in keeping all of His Ordinances and Commandments.
Zacharias who was from the line of Abia was a descendant of Aaron which means he was from the tribe of the Levites, under Nehemiah, he was a leading Priest who signed a covenant to obey the laws of God after the Israelite returned from exile in Babylon, and it is from his house of Priests that Zechariah is a descendant and his wife Elizabeth was of the Daughters of Aaron.
( Leviticus 21:14 )
On the Day of Atonement which was only once a year ( Leviticus 23:27 ) only a High Priest from Aaron’s seed could go into the Holy of Holies and burn incense ( Exodus 30:10 ) everyone else had to wait outside… ( Leviticus 16:17 & Hebrews 9:7 & Luke1:10 ) and this was done on the 10 day in the Seventh month of the Jewish year which was September -October, ( Leviticus 16:29 ) which means regardless of who King Herod chose to be in this position, God chose and anointed Zacharias to Minister and make sacrifices for His people. It was at this time that Zacharias was told that Elisabeth was to have a child. ( Luke 1:13 )
The Gospel of Luke states that while Zecharias ministered at the Altar of incense, an Angel of God announced to him that Elizabeth his wife would give birth to a son, whom he was to name John, and that this son would be the forerunner of the long-expected Messiah and this was when Zacharias was performing the once a year duty in the Holy of Holies of a High Priest assigned specifically to the descendants of Aaron among the sons of Levi.
(1 Chronicles 23:13 )
Elisabeth conceived in September 3BC at the time of the feast of the Tabernacles and gave birth to John The Baptist in June 2B.C When Elisabeth was 6 mths pregnant which was in March, Mary was told she was to give birth to Jesus, when Elisabeth gave birth to John, Mary was 3 mths pregnant, Jesus was born 6mths later December 25th 1AD, Mary’s time had come to give birth when God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law -
(Galatians 4:4)
So as we can see clearly that the events in Luke were not earlier in the year as some claim seeking to establish the error that Jesus was not born in December.
We will continue and give more detail to confirm what we have already shared, thank you for seeking God’s Truth with us, as He leads us all into greater understanding by confirmation in His inspired written word through the empowering of The Holy Spirit…
The Truth will set us free… Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life and He will Teach us All Things.
Matthew 10:26-28 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

Jesus is our reason for celebrating Christmas and yes, our greatest gift. Through him, we were given a hope for salvation. I remember as a child going to the church on Christmas eve with my parents and how excited I was seeing the baby Jesus in the manger after the mass celebration. This was the Christmas I knew. Sadly today, Christmas is confused with shopping and buying things that takes our attention from the real essence of this holiday. Thank you for being a constant light for all. God bless you and Ron.
Hello dear friend, we were only talking about you having a cuppa, Ron thinks your a very warm hearted person and so do I, we are very thankful you are part of our Christian Family.
Yes there is always those who focus on materalisim at Christmas and miss the real meaning but regardless of what they do God sees our heart focus. It’s not wrong to Celerbrate and give gifts or to have symbols that remind us of Jesus, when you think about it Island Traveler God created everything we can see, touch and smell, if you give your son a Toy the raw materials to make it came from God and when you give it with Love, it was God who put that Love in your Heart, you were made in His Likness and He is Love yes we can mess things up but God holds on tight to His children, we really do have so much to give thanks for and we give thanks to God for you Island Traveler

Hi again Robin , there is no rush dear friend, I’m also way behind with having lost my Computer glasses, I have new ones now but must slow down as I’m making mistakes and leaving words out.
Like you I want to encourage others and to read what they have to share but also like you I have other important responsibilities but in regard to Blogging, I have committed it to The Lord as a job, so I’m asking Him to direct me in what is His priority and what is needed most now as I seek to catch up.
Christian Love Always -Anne.
Thanks Anne for setting out the timeline of His coming , on Christmas day which is when we are to celebrate His coming among us, but It brings us joy to remember the circumstances and reasons His coming brings us every day.
Blessings
Ron
Thanks Love and yes as you said everyday in our heart should be Christmas Day, Love, Joy, Praise and Thankfulness, should not be limited to just one day a year for our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Christian Love Always – Anne
Good to know! We are taught that Jesus was born earlier in the year and that “someone” just lumped His birthday in the fall festival group. The knowledge actually helps the day more holy! Thank you for that, Annie.
God Bless you mightily!
Hi Dei, sorry I have not visited you for awhile but once again we are having Blogging problems, but you are so right, thank you for sharing, it helps others. When we are confused or we don’t know what to believe or what is True, our focus is not on God and this is what the Devil wants, sadly so many believe his lies through false teachers or through those who believe them and pass them on.
Do you know Dei, where the denial of Christmas and Easter as we know it first started from, it was the Cults, now even Christians are believing their deception and lies.
I have a close friend who is part of a Jewish Cult and rejects them too and sadly she won’t accept the Scripture that shows she is in error, so she remains in bondage and Satan has a foothold, also trying to keep the law by the flesh, robs us of Joy, assurence and Victory, just what Satan wants. Only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit can we keep God’s guidlines, yes He will always have the Victory in our lives if we are His but it is sad when we take so long to accept His Truth and so suffer, still He never takes away our free will, so we are choosing to remain in the darkness not Him.
See you soon ( I Hope) Love Annie.
You are amazing. And I am just glad HE WAS BORN!!!
Hi Annette, thank you for your kind thoughts but of course it is God’s Truth that is amazing not you or me, we just stand up for it and share it with the conformation of Scripture.
God’s Truth only concerns us if we are in error and this can be because we are deceived, confused or false teachers.
We can be sure if we are correct in what we believe and that is by asking for God’s wisdom and beliving we have received it, so many ask but don’t believe they have it, they Trust in others who may be in error or they make excuses, like I’m not ready yet or good enough, I have to wait on God and yes if we are sinning God does not hear our prayers except when we have heart repentance but with Wisdom we don’t have to wait till we are perfected in Love, we just need to accept and believe then we have God’s wisdom and Jesus our only Teacher will do the rest.
Thank you for visiting – Christian Love Anne
Wow! This is quite revealing and enlightening. I love the way you search scriptures and relate events to time. This really is a beautiful piece and I look foward to more. Regards to Ron.
Remain blessed!
Hi teeceecounsel, so good to see you , with having Blog Problems again I had to change our e-mail address, although I have joined up again with some Bloggers, I still need to do so with others, I will visit soon to see what you are focusing on at the moment.
Thank you for your kind words of encouragment , it is not so hard finding the answers to difficult questions when Jesus is providing the answers and helping us to find and understand the Scripture referances that confirm them.
