Becoming Who You Were Meant To Be

One day, a boy climbing in the mountains found an Eagle’s nest with an egg in it. When he got home, he put it under a hen along with her other eggs.

Chickens 4When the Eagle hatched, he thought he was a Chicken. He learned Chicken behaviour and scratched in the Chicken yard with his ‘siblings’, he didn’t know any better.

Sometimes he felt strange stirrings within himself, but he didn’t know what to do with them, so he ignored or suppressed them.

After all, if he was a Chicken, he should behave like a Chicken.

One day, an Eagle flew over the Chicken yard and the Eagle looked up and saw him. In that moment, he realized he wanted to be like that Eagle, to fly high, to go to the mountain peaks he saw in the distance. As he spread his wings, he suddenly understood that he was like that Eagle…

Though he’d never flown before and there was no mother Eagle to help, he still possessed the instinct and capabilities.
At first he flew unsteadily, then with greater power and control.

Finally, as he soared, he became the creature that God had made him to be.

‘When we realize in our hearts we have been leading only half a life, the other half is going to reach out to us until we seek the Lord to empower us to Live it.

We were made by God and for God.

Until we understand what He has planed for us and what He has equipped us for we will not feel fulfilled or complete.

God wants our Love and Friendship without Him in our life it is without real meaning or purpose.

It’s only in Jesus Christ that we discover our purpose and our calling.

Isaiah 40: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV)

The Target…..

Darts

A young lady named Sally, relates an experience she had in her Seminary class, given by her Teacher, Dr. Smith. She says that Dr. Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons.

One particular day, Sally walked into the College and knew they were in for a fun day.

On the wall was a big target and on a nearby table were many darts. Dr. Smith told the students to draw a picture of someone that they disliked or someone who had made them angry, and he would allow them to throw darts at the person’s picture.

Sally’s friend drew a picture of someone who had stolen her boyfriend. Another friend drew a picture of his older brother. Sally drew a picture of a former friend who had lied and deceived her, putting a great deal of detail into her drawing, even drawing pimples on the face. Sally was pleased with the overall effect she had achieved.

The class lined up and began throwing darts. Some of the students threw their darts with such force that their targets were ripping apart. Sally looked forward to her turn, and was filled with disappointment when Dr. Smith, because of time limits, asked the students to return to their seats. As Sally sat thinking about how angry she was because she didn’t have a chance to throw any darts at her target. Dr. Smith began removing the target from the wall.

Underneath the target was a picture of Jesus. A hush fell over the room as each student viewed the mangled picture of Jesus; holes and jagged marks covered His face and His eyes were pierced.

Jesus 41

Dr. Smith said only these words…

In as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me.” (Matthew 25:40)

No other words were necessary; the tears filled eyes of the students focused only on the picture of Christ.

Bible 0Mark 11:25-26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger, and clamour and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Luke 17:3-5 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith

Matthew 5:43-45 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy Neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in Heaven for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Love and hate cannot co-exist, they are not in Unity we can’t have Love in our heart while ever we hate someone and without Love the Holy Spirit can’t fill us with the rest of His good fruit. Galatians 5: 22-25

Thanks for sharing this heart touching Story with me- Blessings – Anne.

How I Put Jesus on the Cross!

Jesus Christ Cross

I have shared a few times with my Blogging friends, that although I know I have been forgiven of my past sins through God’s Love and Mercy and of this I have no doubt but I do not take lightly that I’m responsible for Jesus’ suffering,  do I disregard and take lightly how much I have hurt Him, Paul didn’t he confessed being the worst of sinners and King David pored out his regret for how he had hurt God even though they like us they were forgiven, can we stop giving Thanks that our sins after heart repentance were taken away as far as the east is to the west and God does not keep a record of them so we will not stand in judgment for them only accountability for our rewards.

Yes as I shared,  Jesus took away the shame of what I have done when He suffered on the cross, my conscience has been cleansed and I don’t walk in defeat but I do not rejoice or take lightly how much I hurt Jesus. By my failing to show Love and Compassion to others even Children who were starving of hunger, I was grieving Him. Or do I forget when I hurled insults at Jesus by abusing others and not having time for them or the pain I caused Him when I punched Him in the stomach by deliberately choosing to lie to cover my sin instead of repenting from the heart or when I spat in His face by being involved with the Occult as a young woman, which is Satan’s playground. Can I forget that I continued to spit in Jesus’ face every day by reading my stars and also causing others to sin by reading their future in the Tara cards, which encouraged them to believe the lie that someone other then God knows the future.

What about continually whipping Jesus by failing to give thanks for His many blessings even claiming I was just lucky and taking his name in vain or when I cruelly pieced His side by showing disrespect to my Husband and not Loving him unconditionally and also being resentful when things didn’t go the way I wanted, can I overlook not honoring and submitting to him in his God given role as my Spiritual Leader.

I also hurt greatly my Abba Father,  because of my sins I separated Him from His beloved Son and yet Jesus  gave His all to save me, even asking that I be forgiven while He was in agonizing pain and His heart was breaking and yes He did this even though I caused Him great suffering more than anyone can comprehend… it was my sins not just someone else’s that nailed Him to that Cross to suffer and die and it was me who pieced his hands with rusty nails.

Sadly I could continue to share the many ways that I have abused Jesus, I really feel I could say like Paul..” I’m the worst of sinners” which we all are, we have all hurt Jesus greatly  it was our sin not God The Father that caused Jesus to suffer but He knew it would break His Fathers heart to see us perish so He willingly chose the only way left to save us and set us free from the Slavery of sin.

Jesus suffered so we would not be punished and so we could walk in freedom through God’s Grace, Mercy and forgiveness and His empowering,  I do not have the right not to forgive others for the wrong they do to me or those I Love. Do I wait for them to say sorry No! but of course they can’t receive my forgiveness until they do this is the same with our repentance but forgiving sets me free so Satan doesn’t have a foothold in my life because of my being bitter and resentful.

I would once again like to share “Through The Eyes Of A Child” see link below, each time I read this heart wrenching response from a young girl as she witnessed Jesus being Crucified for our sins, I’m aware that for many years I did not grieve for the pain I caused Jesus, can we dismiss it lightly with a ” I’m sorry” but than go on hurting Him, that is not what heart repentance is all about.

Summer Camp Blues…..

Summer Camps 1

So pleased we could get Mary into Summer Camp it will be good Training for her.

Yes she needs to mature and have her own independence.

Of course she will hurt when the older girls push her around a bit but that will teach her long-suffering and about the need to forgive and no doubt if she suffers physically when the Camp leaders encourage them to participate in some strenuous games it will show her the need to persevere.

Of course your right dear but we still need to instruct her about remaining cheerful no matter what happens to her, it is not good to show our emotions, others may think we are weak and need help.

You did tell her not to contact us didn’t you if she does feel hurt or rejected and to just grin and bear it alone, after all we don’t need her Camp problems to worry about.

I’m so glad we chose Hurt and Learn Summer Training Camp for Mary, it’s so good to know she will suffer affliction, it will make her tough!

Camp 3

Great Summer Camp, I don’t think, but unbelievably some claim that this is how God molds and shapes us, that He willingly afflicts us or as they propagate, He allows us to suffer to teach us but this is not confirmed in Scripture as we see below, yes He knows we will suffer in this life but He does not delight in this Truth and it is not by His hand, He tells us that He does not afflict us willingly and His plans for us are good.

This analogy shows how wrong it is to think He does hurt us, would we do something deliberately to harm our children or willingly allow it so they will suffer, we bring it on ourselves, Satan or others do and we live in a fallen world, all of which God helps us endure as shown in the Scriptures below.

Lamentations 3: 33 For God doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

Isaiah 43:1-3 – Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

Jeremiah 29 :11-12 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Psalm 121:1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made Heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

JobAlthough Job did warn his wife not to curse God and accept what ever happened to them he later was reassured by God that all He made was very good and He was not the Author of evil, and yes we know today that it was Satan not God who put Job to the test, which is his right to do so because of the fall, we are all under his control until we are Redeemed and tested.

1Peter 1:6-7 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

James 1:12-14 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

What many do not understand today is what God’s discipline and chastising is, often they think it is like they received as Children and in some ways it is like this, as it is not pleasant, so is there a contradiction in Scripture when God tells us that He does not afflict willingly or grieve the children of men… His Rod of correction is The Holy Spirit, He does not afflict us with evil, He can’t, He is Love, physical abuse promotes abuse and this is evil and this  comes by Satan’s hand, all good things come from God,. To even say that Christians use evil to bring good out of it as we can see below is Slander but God works out all our life happenings for our good which is very different from claiming that He causes hardship so we will suffer and learn.

Romans 3: 8 And not rather, as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say, Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

We see by the Prodigal Son that God allows us our own free will and so we reap what we sow, good and evil and when we separate ourselves from God by sin we are no longer under His care and protection, He sees us from afar, it’s a bit like time out when children are naughty, it’s not pleasant to be alone and in despair but it is our choice until we have heart repentance, yet because God knew we would be His even before we were conceived, He will intervene if needed.

I was saved from death 3 times even though at the time after being deceived as a Teenager I claimed He was just made up and we came from Apes. When we come to our senses and repent, putting our flesh to death and being perfected in Love, He welcomes us back Lovingly and so although we were dead in our sins we become alive Spiritually in Christ Jesus and are sealed, we are Adopted and in His Family, a Holy Nation a people belonging to God.

God’s gift of Friendship…..

FRIENDSHIP TOPTrue Friendship is a wonderful gift from God

And in our life, we have a Special Friend…

Someone who can change our life just by being part of it when we Trust and obey Him…

Someone who helps us believe that there really is good in the world as well as the bad…

Someone who understands our weaknesses and Loves us enough not to let them stay, He lets us go our own way until we learn to Trust Him and Obey…

Someone who is always there for us through the good and the bad…

Someone who shows us, that there really is an unlocked door just waiting for us to open.

Friendship is a gift from God found in Jesus Christ, we give thanks for the friends we have, and we remember that we have a Heavenly Father who Loves and cares for us.

“JESUS IS OUR FRIEND FOR ALL SEASONS”

Love filled friendships ….

FRIENDSHIP 01We always seek to help a friend who is in need, and it’s OK for us to be a friend in need.

FRIENDSHIP 02When we are weak than we are strong, Jesus  empowers us.

FRIENDSHIP 38  We are all created unique, so we have something very special to offer each other.

FRIENDSHIP 03We may be afraid sometimes, but we always have a friend looking after us who is bigger then any problem we have.

FRIENDSHIP 33We seek for the things that are really important in life, that will last for Eternity, like Love and Friendship.

FRIENDSHIP 05We show in our actions not just in our words that we Love others…

FRIENDSHIP 20

Affection is important so Kisses and hugs are great to give and receive.

FRIENDSHIP 06We share  the gift of Laughter and  if needed  the gift of tears  too  with our friends if they are hurting  .

FRIENDSHIP 09We welcome new people we meet, even if they look and act differently.

FRIENDSHIP 10We remain calm, even when it seems hopeless, there is someone who will lighten our load if we ask.

FRIENDSHIP 12

Sometimes we may feel different and are at odds and ends but we hang in there…others may feel this too, so we are there for them if needed.

FRIENDSHIP 14We Love our friends, no matter who they are, and we Love our enemies too- one day they may be our friends.

FRIENDSHIP 18We work together as a team, respecting those at the top

FRIENDSHIP 19We share a joke with friends, but not if it hurts others or is off colour.

FRIENDSHIP 35We do for others what we would like for ourselves and we do it first.

Loving others means being real and letting our friends be too.

We listen to our friends and accept Godly advice.

FRIENDSHIP 32We are always willing to go the extra mile for our friends and all those who are in need of our help.

Dogs cuddelWe say “I Love you” often, even if we don’t hear it back and we show we do, remembering that Love is an Action not just a word.

FRIENDSHIP 22We express our creativity. It’s a gift we can share with our friends.

FRIENDSHIP 08We we don’t judge others weaknesses and shortcomings and we may not understand the things they do but  we are always willing to help them when  they ask.

FRIENDSHIP 25We Love others with all our heart, even if it sometimes hurts.

FRIENDSHIP 27We watch our step but if we fall we ask for help and if others are in danger we warn them because we care.

FRIENDSHIP 26We share  with others without counting the cost.

FRIENDSHIP 29There is  someone who Loves us too more then we know but wants us to know.

FRIENDSHIP 21

Together we can exercise not just our bodies but our Spirits too.

FRIENDSHIP 13We are thankful for good friends and welcome new ones because even our closest friends were once strangers before they walked into our heart.

FRIENDSHIP 28No matter what comes even if it’s bad and we feel trapped, we give thanks  not for the problem but  for what we can learn from it, because we are not alone and all things work together for good.

FRIENDSHIP 37

And every day and at any time we pray for our friends and for their needs and we give thanks for the blessing they are to us.

FRIENDSHIPSWith our earthly friends as we share and spend time with them our friendship becomes closer and more precious and we understand more fully what it means to be friends.

When we trust and believe in Jesus Christ we know and experience His Love, Joy, Peace and Hope. Jesus is our closest Friend and wants to listen and talk with us, He understands our needs and is always available, no problem is too big or to small.

FRIENDSHIP 40Our Friendship with Jesus is complete, there is nothing in the World that can compare, and He will never let us down… and

FRIENDSHIP 41

 Jesus Always Understands…

How is my sex life any of your concern?

Freedomborn ... Aussie Christian Focus:

Thank you for sharing Ufuomaee what some would rather not know but if it makes people stop and think and take action when needed, than it is well worth it.

Let’s Win the Race (Philippians 3:12–16): Part 2

Freedomborn ... Aussie Christian Focus:

Thank you Pastor Joe for a great message on winning the Race by following God’s guidelines…

If we don’t Aim we don’t Win!

Christian Blessings and Love from both of us – Anne.

Originally posted on Pastor Joe Quatrone, Jr.:

Phil 3.14All of us want to be “winning Christians” and fulfill the purposes for which we have been saved. In this passage, we find there are five essentials for winning the race and one day receiving the reward that is promised. In Part 1, we saw the first two essentials. Now, we will look at the last three.

Direction (3:13c)

Forgetting what lies behind and straining toward what lies ahead.

The unsaved person is controlled by the past, but the Christian running the race looks toward the future. Imagine what would happen on the race course if the charioteers (or runners) started looking behind them! It is bad enough for a plowman to look back (Lk. 9:62), but for a charioteer to do so means a possible collision and serious injury.

We are accustomed to saying “past, present, future,” but we should view time as flowing…
