Perhaps  some  of you would like to share some Godly advice or how you have been blessed and uplifted by our Awesome and Loving God in your life. 

 I will also be sharing those things that have made me the person I am today which is a Spiritual Child of The King of kings and Lord of lords, my life as been a very hard one but my heart is very thankful for God’s never ending Love, Mercy, Compassion and His many Blessings.

 Becoming Who You Were Meant To Be

  One day, a boy climbing in the mountains found an Eagle’s nest with an egg in it. When he got home, he put it under a hen along with her other eggs.

When the Eagle hatched, he thought he was a Chicken. He learned Chicken behaviour and scratched in the Chicken yard with his ‘siblings’.

He didn’t know any better.

Sometimes he felt strange stirrings within himself, but he didn’t know what to do with them, so he ignored or suppressed them.

After all, if he was a Chicken, he should behave like a Chicken.

One day, an Eagle flew over the Chicken yard and the Eagle looked up and saw him. In that moment, he realized he wanted to be like that Eagle, to fly high, to go to the mountain peaks he saw in the distance. As he spread his wings,

He suddenly understood that he was like that Eagle…

Though he’d never flown before, he possessed the instinct and capabilities.

At first he flew unsteadily, then with greater power and control. Finally, as he soared, he became the creature that God had made him to be.

‘When we realise in our hearts we have been leading only half a life, the other half is going to reach out to us until we seek the Lord to empower us to Live it.

We were made by God and for God.

Until we understand what He has planed for us and what He has equipped us for we will not feel fulfilled or complete.

God wants our Love and Friendship without Him in our life it is without real meaning or purpose.

It’s only in Jesus Christ that we discover our purpose and our calling.

 Isaiah 40: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and  not faint. (KJV)

We Give thanks for our Christian Brothers

The Story below reminded me once again that as Christian woman we are very blessed to have Men who are Spirit filled Brothers and our friends in The Lord and like our Husbands when empowered by The Holy Spirit, they seek to put us first and honour us as the weaker vessel and to support and encourage us and like Jesus our Spiritual Husband, they consider us a Treasure and a gift from God. They Love us sacrificially with His purity, compassion and understanding and are willing to provide support as well as to be strong Leaders under His Authority and Teaching.

As their Spiritual Sisters let’s respect their role of Leadership and be their Helpmate as we were created to be, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, to help when needed to support, comfort, to encourage and build up and to share our heart focus with them, how very blessed we are and what a High calling we have in our God given role.

The Story below once again touched my heart and reminded me that Men can be in their strength also very gentle and caring.

Apples for the Blind

A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a Regional Sales Convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night’s dinner.

In their rush, with tickets and briefcases, one of these Salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table, which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding.

All but one! He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned.

He told his buddies to go on without him, waved good-bye, told one of them to call his Wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor.

He was so glad he did. The 16-year-old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight.

The Salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the apples, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket.

When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, “Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay? “She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, “I hope we didn’t spoil your day too badly.”

As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, “Mister…” He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, “Are you Jesus?”

Sisters let us never stop giving thanks for our Husbands and our Brothers in The Lord and those men who are in Authority in the Church and let us always Love and uphold all of them as if they were Jesus Christ Himself.

 

Preaching to the Hard hearted with Joy

I read a good joke on Gayle’s Blog recently, she has the ability to change her focus to suite what she is experiencing in her life but she always keeps a strong stand in regards to God’s Truth. (see her link below )

Gayle’s joke yesterday lead to some very interesting conversation, and many smilies, yes it had me pondering and those who know me, know this leads to me to sharing deep heart thoughts. Now where did pondering come from…

 

It’s an English word first used in the 14th centary, it means to deeply concider something or study it and others like me believe the Holy Scriptures are truly meant to be pondered on as to what they mean by the empowering of The Holy Spirit and the Scriptures confirm this too, we are to Study to be approved and not just accept words on a page without any Spiritual understanding.   

 

 I decided to share Gayle’s Joke with you ( see below ) but with animation added so you can enjoy it in motion, it’s called … ” Preaching to the Hard hearted “

 

Witty inventions or jokes are great if they are good and not destructive to our faith and they can also be used for teaching or sharing God’s Truth but surprisingly even some Theologians and Bible Translators have undermined this gift from God by not reading it in the context it was used. 

 

There is always a flesh or worldly reference as well as the Spiritual in Scripture such as wordly love, joy, peace, hope, wisdom, pride and the Spiritual is Godly Love, Joy, Peace, Hope, Wisdom, Pride etc This is the same as witty inventions we need to know the differance. 

 

Sin can inhibit good laughter and it often creates evil wit, we need to have God’s wisdom and His reasoning, Logic and discernment by the empowering of The Holy Spirit.1Corinthians2 Laughter also like fear in the Hebrew does not always mean what we may understand it to be, it depends on the context it is used in, it can mean, not accepting abuse or taking to heart what those say  who mock us. 

 

Proverbs 8:11-13 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance  and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

 

Psalm 126:2-3 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

 

Ecclesiastes 3:4  A time to weep, and a time to Laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

 

God has given us the gift of Laughter and yes there is a time for everything, humour is part of wisdom and when it comes from the heart, we can create good, clean witty inventions or share those of others. I really enjoy it when people use this gift in a good and constructive way and I often share there’s and mine, especially if it is over the Top, in other words not for real, like my Posts, Sony Digital Ape and Brain Freeze and others, why because it’s cleaver and Laughter is a good emotion when it has a good focus,  it has great benefits for the mind and body but how do we know if the Humour we hear or read is wrong….. 

 

Just like we know and recognize Jesus’ voice in the Truth we read and hear, so we can also  recognize Satan’s evil wit, it puts God and others down in a cruel way. There is no real humour in evil, those who use it and enjoy and share it will eventually accept the evil it teaches, this is why God tells us to reject this type of Humour, when we laugh it relaxes us and our defences are down,  as an example,  when the Elderly are made fun of,  this leads to a lack of respect for them and laughing at what God tells us is evil encourages us not to accept God’s Truth or respect Godly advice from others. Thank you for listening, I hope you will enjoy Gayle’s joke.

 

 

Preaching to The Hard hearted

 

A Priest, a Pentecostal Preacher and a Rabbi all served as Chaplains to the Students of Northern Michigan University in Marquette. They would get together two or three times a week for coffee and to talk shop.

 

 One day, someone made the comment that preaching to people isn’t really that hard.

 

A real challenge would be to preach to a bear. One thing led to another, and they decided to do a seven-day experiment.

 

They would all go out into the woods, find a bear and preach to it. Seven days later, they’re all together to discuss the experience…

 

Father O’Flannery, who has his arm in a sling, is on crutches, and has various bandages, goes first. “Wellll,” he says, in a fine Irish brouge, “Ey wint oot into th’ wooods to fynd me a bearr. Oond when Ey fund him Ey began to rread to him from the Baltimorre Catechism.

 

Welll, thet bearr wanted naught to do wi’ me und begun to slap me aboot. So I quick grrabbed me holy water and, THE SAINTS BE PRAISED, he became as gentle as a lamb. The Bishop is cooming oot next wik to give him fierst communion und confierrmation.”

 

Reverend Billy Bob spoke next. He was in a wheelchair, with an arm and both legs in casts, and an IV drip. In his best fire and brimstone oratory he proclaimed, “WELL, brothers, you KNOW that we don’t sprinkle…WE DUNK! I went out and I FOUND me a bear. And then I began to read to him from God’s HOOOOLY WORD! But that bear wanted nothing to do with me.

 

I SAY NO! He wanted NOTHING to do with me. So I took HOOOLD of him and we began to rassle. We rassled down one hill, UP another and DOWN another until we come to a crick. So I quick DUNK him and BAPTIZE his hairy soul. An’ jus like you sez, he wuz gentle as a lamb. We spent the rest of the week in fellowship, feasting on God’s HOOOOLY word.”

 

They both look down at the Rabbi, who was lying in a hospital bed. He was in a body cast and traction with IV’s and monitors running in and out of him.

 

The Rabbi looks up and says, “Oy! You don’t know what tough is until you try to circumcise one of those creatures.”

 

Because we know we are Christians…..

Because we know we are Christians … we are proclaiming that we areone in Christ Jesus, that we were lost, Now we are found, we repented and now we are forgiven and because of our heart-felt thankfulness we seek to be Clean living by the power of the Holy Spirit and in Christ Jesus we have been set free from the power of sin over you and me no longer in slavery are we.

 John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

 

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been Born of God.

 

Romans 6:18-20 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

 

Because we know we are Christians … We are proud to be called by that name because it means we have Jesus Christ within and we take pride of our position and Unity in Him.

 

1John 4:16-17 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world.

 

Romans 6:5-7 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.

 

Because we know we are Christians … We are no longer trying to be strong because it’s the Lord’s strength that will carry us along and when at times we see weaknesses God’s understanding and refining we do seek then we never need to be in dismay because God’s Love rules all we do and say.

 

1John 3: 6-8 whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him.

 

Because we know we are Christians  … We are Lifting God on High not bragging of our success or the good things that we do knowing that alone we will fail, but because of God’s Love  He will see us through and will bring Glory through the things He has prepared in advance for use to do.

 

2 Timothy 2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let every one that nameth the Name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

 

Because we know we are Christians  … we are seeking to be perfect because although our flaws are visible one day they will be no more…Jesus knocked and we opened up the door. Did God believe we were worth it when He died upon the tree yes even knowing we were deep in sin He still came to set us free.

 

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect.

 

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

 

2Timithy 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

 

1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love; but perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.

 

Because we know we are Christians  … we still feel the sting of pain but we no longer carry any shame and in our heart there is Joy although things may stay the same but we have the Lord’s Peace because we call upon His name.

 

1John 5: 14 – 15 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

 

Because we know we are a Christian … we  know we don’t walk alone and the strength to live the Christian Life is given not owned as at  the cross we sit at Christ’s feet .

 

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 

 

Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him:

 

Because we know we are Christians  … we seek to be Holy just as the Lord asks us to be by following Jesus who died to set us free. In every thing God’s does and says His Love is the Light that guides us on my way.

1 Peter 2:24 Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

 

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

Because we know we are Christians  … When others are in real need we do not procrastinate, find excuses or push them away but we obey and  trust in the Lord to supply, equip and strengthen for whatever it may be that is needed from you and me.

2 Timothy 4:2-3 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

 

Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

 

Because we know we are Christians … a testing time will be part of our preparation for Eternity but  through the trial The Lord will keep us strong because to Him we belong, Satan will never have the upper hand because in Christ Jesus we stand.

 

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

 

1John 5:18-20  We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.   We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

 

Because we know we are Christians … we don’t fear God’s wroth, He does not afflict us so we will obey He gives us strength to walk in Jesus each day to live righteously His way.

 

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

 

1John 3:7  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. 

 

Because we know we are Christians … we are  saying we have counted the cost and have chosen to follow Jesus regardless of the sacrifice or loss. We know that the Lord leads the way bringing us to perfection everyday until in His image we will stay.

 

John 15:9-11  As the Father hath Loved me, so have I Loved you: continue ye in my Love. If ye keep my Commandments, ye shall abide in my Love; even as I have kept my Father’s Commandments, and abide in His Love.

 

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the Love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.

 

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

 

2Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in Peace; and the God of Love and Peace shall be with you.

Because I know I’m a Christian… a testing time will be part of my preparation for Eternity but  through the trial The Lord will keep me strong because to Him I belong, Satan will never have the upper hand because in Christ Jesus I stand.

 

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

 

1John 5:18-20  We know that no one who is Born of God sins; but He who was Born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.   We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

 

Because I know I’m a Christian… I don’t fear God’s wroth, He does not afflict me so I’ll obey He gives me strength to walk in Jesus each day to live righteously His way.

 

Lamentations 3: 33 For He doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

 

1John 3:7  Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. 

 

Because I know I’m a Christian … I’m saying I have counted the cost and have chosen to follow Jesus regardless of the sacrifice or loss. I know that the Lord leads the way bringing me to perfection everyday until in His image I will stay.

 

John 15:9-11  As the Father hath Loved me, so have I Loved you: continue ye in my Love. If ye keep my Commandments, ye shall abide in my Love; even as I have kept my Father’s Commandments, and abide in His Love.

 

1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoso keepeth His word, in him verily is the Love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.

 

Daniel 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

 

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in Peace; and the God of Love and Peace shall be with you.

Update on Alfred…

I was able to talk to Alfred last night, he is thankfully home from Hospital, his blood pressure is still high but is coming down, it hit 225 over 110  when he was critical and in danger of dying.

 

Alfred had gone into hospital for some treatment unrelated to his Kidneys but if he hadn’t been in Hospital he may have died of Kidney failure at home. 

 

 

 

Are you amazed when God answers your prayer, I’m still in awe that He does, not that I doubt that He will, He tells us He answers our heart prayers because we are praying according to His will but if they are motivated by selfish desires, they remain unanswered, God knows what we need and even Loveingly gives us the good desires of our heart. 

 

At 8pm Thursday night I was overwhelmed with the need to pray forcibly for Alfred against evil, this has happened before quiet a few times over the years but it still takes me by surprise because it is so intense.

 

Alfred told me it was at this time that he was very close to death, I shared with him about my prayer but he did not reply, yet he did not respond negatively as he has done before, I also told him that you were all praying for him too but once again he did not respond but the seeds have been planted, thank you all so much.

 

Alfred, my Sister Julie and myself, all accepted Jesus as our Saviour when we were Children but with Mum’s influence being an agro unbeliever and also our Teachers at School, we all were deceived into believing He was not real and that we evolved from Apes.

 

 Julie was rescued and found her way back to His fold and Loving arms a week before she died of Cancer, this was as God had shown me a year before when both Mum and Julie were dying in Intensive care… He did this through a World wide Prayer chain( not one you have to pay for ) 

 

Mum who lost her way Spiritually as a young woman through abuse, also survived and is now 92 and still drives a car… Hmmmm I did not say well, in fact I’m the only one I know who drives a car more dangerously than Mum and so Ron in his concern took the car keys off me PERMENTLY but Wow I’m amazing on my Mobility Scooter, well at least I think so.

Ron’s Corner – Monty Update

To fill you in with what’s happening with Monty, a blessing for us has been that we were able to bring him home yesterday afternoon. Simon our Vet did a wonderful job and we are so thankful for his knowledge and compassionate care of Monty and his concern for us too.

 

Simon at first thought Monty was having a server allergic reaction but did not know from what, but after further extensive examinations and observations, he later diagnosed him to have been bitten by an unknown type of Snake, characterised by a large lump on his leg and a red vee mark on his chest. He also treated him with intravenous antibiotics and antihistamine. Early Friday morning Simon said  that he could not get a vein to get a blood test as his blood pressure was so low and he said that if you had asked me then what was his chances of surviving to lunch time, I would have said very low percentage, which is what he also told Anne.  

 

But he said Monty was a fighter and a tough little boy, we can thank God for that, by late Friday night he was getting stronger and Saturday Morning he even ate a little chicken,  Simon said  we could come and pick him up and to continue with the medication and bring him back next week.

 

I took Monty and  Mo -Joe for a little walk Saturday afternoon on the way home, what a joy to do so. Monty is eating well and Moe-Joe is licking him often, which means in dog lingo, it’s so good to see you.

 

Thank you for all your prayers and support, we can be assured, they were answered our God is soooo good eh ?  we are truly grateful, how blessed we have been, thanks for being on this rollercoaster journey with us, first with Anne, then Alfred and lastly  Monty. We`re humbled by your Love as our friends and family in The Lord.

He that feareth is not made perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us. If a man say, I Love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that Loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he Love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from Him, That he/she  who Loveth God Love his brother/sister also.

We have been blessed to share with our new Blogging friend Darrell Creswell over the last few weeks, I fell in love with his Inspirational graphics, they are beautiful with a personal but powerful focus and Darrell offers them freely to God's Children, as he received them freely from Him in the wonderful gifting he has. We also appreciate as Ron said Darrell's balanced focus on everyday issues and his gentle prompting to Trust The Lord with wholehearted commitment.
